After dinner, Naimah, Jumali and Izzah sat in the living room. The atmosphere was silent, no one opened their voices. Izzah awaits.
Jumali stood up, picking up a small box of buffets not far from where they were sitting. He handed the box to Naimah.
Naimah seemed doubtful. Jumali nodded her head, reassuring Naimah. After a long sigh, Naimah placed the box she received from Jumali on the table, opened it carefully, then took out a piece of photo.
Izzah looked at all that with curiosity, not understanding why Jumali and Naimah looked so tense.
Naimah presented the photo to Izzah. Izzah accepted it hesitantly. When I saw the photo, Izzah looked up in disbelief. So shocked, he dropped the photo and picked it back up with trembling hands.
Without notice, Izzah shed tears. For a month he had not seen his mother. Is the mother okay? Izzah's longing is on the rise.
“Munda ..” Izzah called his mother. His eyes continued to look at the photo in his hand.
He was very sure the woman in the photo was really his mother. But who is the man next to his mother? Why is it so similar to Ki Daud?
Izzah looked at Jumali and Naimah alternately. He needs an explanation. Lips vibrate. His tongue was a little, unable to say a word.
Jumali gestured to Naimah, asking her to speak. Naimah moved closer to Izzah. His arms gently caressed Izzah's shoulders.
“True, Izzah. Ki Daud is your real father.”
Izzah shook his head. He could not believe what he had just heard.
“How possible, Bi. My father David is dead. In fact, before I was born into this world,” denied Izzah, staring at Naimah with tears. Her chest feels tight. His emotions are mixed.
“You're not wrong, Zah. Your father David died before you were born.” Naimah was silent for a moment.
“Please don't make me even more confused, Bi!” Izzah. His head started to hurt.
Naimah continued her words. “But ... it's another David.”
“Means, Aunty?”
Naimah showed me another photo. Two men with the same face embrace each other, smiling happily. Izzah.
“Ki David has a twin brother?"
Naimah.
“Name M. David Hisham.”
“I still don't understand, Bi.”
“The story is long, but what Auntie knew .. when it was chaos, Because Mr. David was so needed, she decided to come back here.” Naimah's gaze drifted far away.
“Mrs Rahmi insists on accompanying her husband. Lord David finally allowed on condition that their young son be entrusted to his grandmother. But ... as the saying goes, lucky is unachievable, poor is undeniable.” Naimah. His face suddenly changed.
Izzah remained silent. He was still faithfully waiting for Naimah to continue her explanation.
“Master David was hit by a poisoned arrow in the Forest of Prohibition and got help too late. On the eve of his death, Lord David asked his twin brother to marry Lady Rahmi. Ki Daud who had secretly fallen in love with Madam Rahmi when he first saw her, finally edited Madam Rahmi seven months after
death of his twin brother.”
Naimah glanced at Izzah at a glance. Make sure that the girl is still paying attention to his words.
“At first Ki Daud and Madam Rahmi lived a happy life. However, four months later Mrs Rahmi began to look sad because she kept thinking about her young son. At the same time, chaos returned. Ki Daud loved Madam Rahmi very much. For the sake of his wife's happiness finally, Ki Daud allows
Madam Rahmi returns to her world. Ki Daud gave the key to the gate of the Land of a Thousand Flowers to Madam Rahmi in order to come at any time .…”
Naimah took a breath. Thought Izzah who bowed, listening to the story. A story never revealed from the lips of his mother.
Seeing that Izzah was silent, Naimah continued the story. His eyes glare.
“Because of his love so big and deep, Ki Daud continues to wait for the presence of his wife. However, Madam Rahmi never returned. In fact, until now Ki Daud is still faithfully waiting.”
Izzah cried. He does not believe that in this materialistic world there is still a man like Ki Daud, still survive for love, although uncertain.
All this time, in Izzah's eyes all those guys were assholes. They treat women like sugar cane, sweet enough to be thrown away.
“If you really love my Mother, then why did Ki Daud never look for her, Bi? Why did Ki Daud let me grow up without the affection of a father?” Izzah was very sad. For the first time he felt his presence was never desired by his father.
“I understand how you feel, Zah. But, the reality is not what you think.” Naimah grasps the warm fingers of Izzah.
“Ki Daud desperately wants to see Madame Rahmi, but can't, because it will endanger her life. Ki Daud also did not intend to abandon you. He did not even know that Madam Rahmi was pregnant when Madam Rahmi decided to leave here.”
Hearing that, Izzah was stunned. The feeling of abandonment that had enveloped his heart slowly began to disappear, changing into a sense of happiness and longing to immediately be able to see the face of his biological father.
“Where is Ki Daud now, Bi? I want to see him.”
Naimah threw a glance at Jumali. Jumali nodded, then stood up.
Naimah led Izzah, following Jumali's steps.
They walked towards Ki Daud's study. Izzah does not understand why Naimah and Jumali took him to Ki Daud's secret room. The room is empty. Ki Daud is not working in that lab.
Naimah shifted a small shelf on one of the walls of the room. It looks like a painting of a woman playing on a swing by the lake. Izzah immediately recognized the face of the mother. Izzah's heart was moved and happy. Ki Daud really loved his mother.
Naimah pressed one of the flower buds that crept on the swing rope. Sounded a soft rustling sound. Another secret door suddenly opened. Naimah and Jumali let Izzah enter first.
In the middle of the room, Ki Daud seemed to be asleep. Izzah came closer. Tears of longing flowed profusely on both of his cheeks. He sat on the chair beside Ki Daud's bed.
Izzah clasped Ki Daud's right hand, kissing him reverence. It can not be described how happy Izzah can see the biological father who had been missed so much.
On the other hand, his heart seemed to be slashed sembilu saw the condition of his father at that time. In the heart Izzah prayed, “Yes Allah, do not take my father. Give me a chance to feel the love that's been lost! Give me time to unite my family! Let me show you my time!” Izzah's tears washed Ki Daud's hands
“What happened, Bi? Why is this so?” Izzah asked with a sigh. His eyes fixed on Ki Daud's pale face.
Jumali and Naimah also shed tears at the meeting of father and son in a heartbreaking condition.
“That's what happens if Ki Daud desperately meets Madam Rahmi.” Naimah answered sadly.
“I mean Auntie, Dad has gone to see my Bunda?” Izzah couldn't believe Ki Daud would do that.
“Yes. As soon as I saw you, Ki Daud felt sure you had something to do with Madam Rahmi. Therefore he went to make sure it.”
Izzah was getting more and more moved. He did not expect Ki David willing to endanger himself for his sake. Now he was increasingly convinced how great the love and affection of Ki David to his mother. Izzah felt lucky and proud to have a father like Ki Daud.
Naimah took something out of the cloth, and handed it to Izzah.
“This, take!” Naimah thrusting a necklace.
“What is this tube, Bi?”
“One of the gates of the Thousand Flowers Country held by Mrs Rahmi.”
Izzah mengambil kalung itu dengan tangan bergetar dan langsung memakainya.
Her eyes closed, feeling the love and sacrifice of a father flowed through her soul through a necklace she wore.
“Until when will Dad be like this, Bi? What do I do to make him realize?”
“Aibi also does not know. We just pray that Ki Daud will soon realize.”
Naimah and Jumali step out, letting Izzah accompany Ki Daud.
