Tap…
The sound of Fikri's footsteps was already heard by Ayana clearly. But he pretended not to listen. Because in fact he was afraid of Fikri who was famous for being a female seductress and also fierce to women.
"Hi, sister-in-law." When he arrived at Ayana's desk.
"Mas, Fikr. Can I help you?" Welcome Ayana try to be friendly.
"There must be dong, so your sister-in-law is coming here." He said with a smile teasing Ayana.
"What help, ma'am?" Tanya Ayana hesitated.
Instead of answering, Fikri even keasi staring at the face of Ayana who was increasingly in the face made her anxious and wanted to touch the face. But, before Fikri really touched the face, Farraz just stood next to him.
"What are you doing, Mom?" Farraz asked which immediately made Fikri stop looking at Ayana's face.
"Raz, since when are you here?" Fikri asked back.
"Since Mas Fikri was busy staring at my Secretary's face." The answer.
That answer made Fikri laugh. He shook his head for a moment, as it was funny to hear Farraz refer to Ayana as his secretary.
"Why laugh? I don't think anything's funny." Farraz said in his loud voice.
"Casual, bro. Seriously very." He patted Farraz on the shoulder.
Ayana just silently observed and listened to the chatter of the two men in front of her.
"Ayana is very busy. We have a lot of work to do. So, if there's no important business, it's best for Fikri to leave this place." Pinta Farraz politely.
"OK." The answer.
However, before leaving, Fikri looked again at Ayana who had been standing with her head slightly lowered.
"See you next time, sister-in-law." Fikri.
Then he left that place.
"Don't be too trusting with Fikri's words. He's a land crocodile. So, don't worry because he's familiar with you. For her, she was just a toy. If he gets bored, he'll throw it away." Farraz explained.
"At least Fikri treated me well." Ayana's words surprised Farraz.
His forehead shriveled, his eyes narrowed and looked at Ayana with a strange look that was hard to decipher.
"Are you still angry about what happened this morning?" Farraz tried to guess.
"I'm sorry I don't understand what Mr. Farraz is talking about, huh?" Sahut Ayana with a return to obedient Secretary mode.
That made Farraz breathe deeply.
"Women are very hard to talk to." Curiously annoyed.
"Unfortunately I'm just a useless old woman, in your opinion, Mr. Farraz. So no need to talk to me."
Again Ayana's answer made Farraz even more upset. He was surprised, Ayana who once looked very professional, now arrived to be a paper and even bring up personal problems while still working hours.
"Mbak Ayana, Mr. Handi asked Ms. Ayana to his room now. Bring me the yellow file map." The voice was heard through an automatic voice connection on Ayana's desk.
"Well, I'll be in Handi's room soon." The answer.
"Since when, have you been Handi's errand boy?" Ask Farraz sewot.
"Since Mr. Farraz has been busy with Mr. Farraz's girlfriend while preparing for your engagement, sir." Ayana replied relaxed and calm as usual.
Farraz is upset that Ayana always answers with answers that insinuate her.
Ayana's move was very firm when passing Farraz. And Farraz could only stare bitterly at Ayana.
...🍀🍀🍀...
Ayana is in Handi's room. Handi's door was deliberately left open. Because Ayana did not like if the door was closed when she was in the room Handi walled all the walls.
"So, what do you think of this project?" Handi asked Ayana for her opinion.
"I really like it, sir. Because the purpose of this project is also very clear and will certainly help a lot for street children, orphans, and also for all those who are less in economic problems." Answer Ayana.
"You're right. I am interested in this project because of it. And for sure, this client of ours will be fully responsible from start to finish for the project of building a free school for the lower class that you mentioned earlier." His speech.
"If only, free school projects with adequate facilities like this have been around for a long time. Surely my parents won't be that hard and don't have to borrow money from others to send me and mbak Maurin to school." Ayana is sad.
Hearing that, Handi also felt sad as Ayana felt.
"But, I am very grateful because finally there is a conglomerate who is kind and willing to build a free school with facilities that are not inferior to other schools that are public or private or owned by the foundation." Follow Ayana later.
He smiled looking at Handi who had been staring at him since.
"Don't you, Mr Handi?" The question surprised Sandy.
"It's so thick." Answer with a smile.
Actually, Handi is still fascinated by the beauty of the smile on Ayana's face.
Tok…
Suddenly Ayana and Handi heard the knocking of the door. So that makes Ayana's head turn automatically towards the door. And there stood the figure of a tall man with a very neat appearance.
"Sir Farraz!" The thrill almost screamed.
"Sir Farraz, how can I help you?" Handi approached.
"No. I just want to see, as important and busy as if Mr. Handi's job is today, until I have to ask for the help of my personal assistant!" He looked at Handi.
Hearing that, Handi could only smile lazily. Ayana immediately approached them.
"Pak Handi really needs me for this project. And as I recall, last month Mr. Farraz suggested that I take part in this project. Is it possible that Mr. Farraz has forgotten?" Ayana explained.
"Oh yeah? Did I suggest it?" Farraz asked back with an unpleasant facial expression.
"Yes. At that time you said you were tired of constantly having to do various jobs with old widows like me. So at that time you suggested that I take part in a project that you entrusted to Mr. Handi last month." Ayana explained by shouting.
"You dare yell at me?" Farraz who ignited emotions.
"Oh, sorry Mr. Farraz Ehsan. I seem to have gone too far." Ayana nodded in acknowledging her pluck.
Seeing Ayana's behavior like that, instead of making Farraz happy, even more upset. For some reason, he felt himself filled with a feeling of annoyance for no apparent reason.
"Don't forget the meeting with the Client this afternoon. You better get ready for a meeting later. Continue the discussion of the project after the meeting with the Client." He said in a quieter voice, although the look on his face was still very clearly seen withstanding his regret.
"Okay, Mr. Farraz." Sahut Ayana also with a soft and quieter voice.
Farraz finally left Handi's room. While Handi who had been confused since saw their dispute, now finally heaved a sigh of relief. Because, the dispute for no apparent reason ended peacefully.
"Sorry Mr. Handi, I have to come back soon. If I don't come back now, I think maybe I'll lose both my legs. Mr. Handi knows for himself, right? Mr. Farraz is a ruthless boss, isn't he?" Ayana.
"Don't give up. Stay up!" Said Handi to Ayana.
A smile was seen on Ayana's lips, then she immediately went towards where she should be. And Handi watched Ayana's steps, until Ayana's shadow disappeared from her sight.
