Are You Going to Believe?

Damian was waiting for Mayumi to come out of his room. By the time she returned, Mayumi was already asleep so she did not want to disturb her and waited for the right opportunity to explain to Mayumi what had really happened.

He really hoped that Mayumi would believe him even if that was just a guess. He would have his men in Japan investigate it carefully to answer whether his suspicions were true or not.

Mayumi walked out of the room with increasingly swollen eyes. She had been crying all night, crying over her lost lover with no news. It's only her lover that she's got and she can't afford to lose the one she loves anymore. Damian so pity to see the situation, not only Aisnley who pity because he also so pity.

"Mayumi, are you okay?" ask Damian.

"Damian, have you heard from him?" mayumi asked with a lethargic face.

"Yeah, Michael's got the original footage."

"really? Then what about my lover?" mayumi asked impatiently.

"You want to know?"  damian asked as he sipped his black coffee.

"Of course I want to know, what do you mean by the question you're asking?" Mayumi looked at Damian with an astonished expression.

"I'm just afraid you can't hear it," Damian sipped his coffee again as he glanced at Mayumi as he wanted to see Mayumi's expression.

"W-What do you mean, Damian?" mayumi's face changed, her feelings grew even more fearful after hearing Damian's words.

"Are you going to believe what I'm going to tell you, Mayumi?"

"A-What exactly?"

"Mayumi, if I told you that your lover was suspicious, would you believe it?"

"No way! Are you suspicious of my lover?" sela Mayumi quickly. His face was already looking displeased even his eyes were staring at Damian sharply.

Damian smiled faintly, already he expected Mayumi would not believe it and he knew, it would not be easy for Mayumi let alone this concerning the only person he loved. It will take time but she will try to convince Mayumi that she wants to trust him and be careful of her own lover.

"I know it's gonna be hard on you, Mayumi. Would you like to listen to him further? I'm not going to continue if you don't want to hear it."

Mayumi lowered her head and bit her lips, what exactly happened? Honestly he was afraid to hear the continuation of the words Damian was about to say.

"What's really going on, Damian? Has my girlfriend been caught? Is he dead?" mayumi asked with a sad face. That was all he had in mind right now, between being caught and dying at the hands of Akira, only two possibilities were present.

"Mayumi, you asked her not to go back to Japan, right?"

"Yes, I've been warning him many times but somehow he suddenly went back there."

"Are you not suspicious?"

"What do you mean, Damian?"

Damian smiled again, he would say it slowly to Mayumi so that Mayumi would believe him. He knows it will not be easy, because as a friend, he will convince Mayumi and invite her to think that Mayumi does not assume that she is cheating on him.

"You've asked him not to return to Japan but he's still back, aren't you suspicious at all?"

"No! I trust Damian so much, and I think he's back there for a reason!"

"You know Mayumi, sometimes the people we trust a lot aren't necessarily good."

"Right, what he said was very true!" jager Maxton approached them at the time.

"People we consider good, people we trust very much sometimes that person is a real traitor. I've been betrayed by my best friend so much that I have to lose my wife and separate from my son and I know what it's like so you better be careful!"

"Thank you for the advice, Uncle," Mayumi said.

"So, would you like to hear more?" ask Damian.

"Alright, tell me what's really going on."

"Listen, Michael found the original cctv tape when your girlfriend was caught."

"So he got caught?" Mayumi cut Damian's words quickly.

"Yes, but you should know, it looks like he did it on purpose."

"What do you mean, Damian? Why would he do that?" mayumi asked with an expression of disbelief.

"No, it's impossible!" Mayumi looked down, her tears even flowing. She really can't believe her boyfriend did something like that. Did her lover conspire with Akira and katsuo? But for what? They don't even know each other.

"It's the cctv tape, you can see it if you have time" Damian gave a flash drive containing the footage of Mayumi's lover being taken away.

"After looking at it, you can deduce for yourself Mayumi, whether I tricked you or not."

"I'll see later," Mayumi took the flash, honestly not believing.

"Good, I just want you to be careful."

"Surely," Mayumi tried to smile, she would find out the truth because she did not believe. She knows her lover very well, she is sure if her lover returns to Japan because there is something she wants to do especially her family is still in Japan. It's possible that he's back to meet his family but accidentally gets caught by Akira and Katsuo's men.

Hopefully what Damian says is not true because he only has his lover, if until his lover betrays him, then who else does he have besides Damian? Only Damian, his best friend, would help him. Other than depending on Damian he really doesn't have anyone anymore.

"Damian, why didn't you invite Ainsley over?" ask father.

"No, Dad."

"Why? Don't you want to date at home? Are you afraid Daddy's peeping?"

Damian chuckled, why the hell is his father always curious? Jager is curious because he wants to know the style of dating his son who has no experience at all.

"Dad, Ainsley and I are leaving today" he said.

"Well, do you guys want to go on a date?" Jager looks happy and excited.

"Not because Ainsley wanted to take Mayumi along."

"What?! Why three, what kind of date is that?" jager Protest.

"I'm not coming, Damian. I don't want to interrupt your date" Mayumi refused.

"Well, that's right!" said Jager.

"It's okay, Mayumi. Ainsley's gonna take you."

"But?" Mayumi looked unwell, while the jager grumbled inwardly.

No way, they can't go on a three-date. First, between Mayumi or Damian surely one of them will be a mosquito and secondly, their relationship will not progress at all later. Jager sipped his tea, it seemed like he had to intervene.

They enjoyed their breakfast that morning and when it was noon, Damian was getting ready because he was going to pick up Ainsley soon. Surely he also asked Mayumi to get ready but apparently they were not the only ones who were preparing.

Unbeknownst to Damian, his father also gets ready. This time she will come along, she will accompany Mayumi so as not to interfere with their date later. She has to act in order for her son's date to be successful, his cupid role she has to play and now it's time to do the role.

Damian came out of the room, he walked towards the kitchen to sip a glass of water. His eyes looked at the circular clock in hand, it was time for them to leave because he did not want to make Ainsley wait for him for too long.

"Mayumi, are you ready?" damian asked while shouting a little.

"Almost" replied Mayumi.

Damian took his car keys and not long after, Mayumi came out of the room and looked cheerful.

"I'm done," he said.

"Me too!" the voice of Jager Maxton.

Damian looked at his father with an astonished expression, why does his father look neat?

"Dad, where are you going?" damian asked with a suspicious expression.

"Certainly come with you!"

"What?" Damian was surprised, wasn't it wrong?

"Let's hurry, I'm impatient!" Jager walked towards the door in a hurry.

Mayumi and Damian looked at each other, it seemed like today they were going through an incredible day.
