There Seems to be Hope

The plane carrying them was already low, ready to land at the Smith family's private airport. The short holidays they took felt so memorable. Although short but fun especially after this they plan to get married.

They will discuss this with their families as soon as possible. Damian also did not want Ainsley to take it too long if they did not have a reason to delay their marriage.

They were sitting together at the time, because the plane was about to land. Ainsley leaned against Damian's arm and looked delighted. She has no regrets about surrendering herself to Damian because she knows Damian is the man in charge. After all if Damian dared to betray him then he would hang on a crocodile pond for two months without clothes let his body shrink.

"Dam-Dam, I was just thinking about this" Ainsley said.

"Think what?"

"When we get married, will you tell your real father? Are you gonna invite them?" ask Ainsley.

Damian was silent, not answering. He had not thought about this before and it seemed like he already had to think about it.

"Do you need to invite them?" Damian asked back.

"Hey, why are you asking me?" Ainsley raised her face to look at Damian.

"Let's see, I'm ashamed that your family met them. Well, you know, don't you? Your family is rich but can accept anyone while they are?" Damian shook his head, he was even reluctant to imagine how his father would react to meeting the Ainsleys later.

"Why? My family won't kick them out" Ainsley said.

"It's not like that, honey. As far as I can see they're all treasure freaks. They were afraid that I would take what was theirs when I wanted nothing from them. I really don't want your family to meet them, especially for me they're a troubled family."

"Hey, why are you saying that to your own father's family?"

"Okay, maybe it's because I don't like them" Damian replied.

"But anyway, they're still your family, Damian," Ainsley said. The girl leaned back, while Damian embraced her and gave a gentle swipe.

"I know, I'll think about this later."

Ainsley smiled, in fact, he hoped that Damian and Harry's relationship would improve. They are brothers, even though they are different mothers. He also hopes that Harry will stop chasing after him after hearing that he is getting married.

"After this what will we do?" ask Ainsley.

"Talking about our marriage, right? I was going to talk about it to my father and sister but Ainsley," Damian grabbed Ainsley's hand and gave a light peck over her palm.

"After marriage, would you mind staying with me at Daddy's? You know I can't leave him alone because Daddy's old let alone having an illness. I can't leave her alone so I hope you don't mind."

Ainsley smiled, her eyes were looking at Damian at that moment. Of course he will not mind, even though they can actually build their own house later.

"I don't mind, Dam-Dam," he said, rubbing Damian's face gently.

"I'll live wherever you are but remember, I won't follow you if you stay at your father's house because I don't want a roof with Harry!" said again.

"Stupid, where I might live there!" Damian hugged Ainsley, for whatever sake he wouldn't leave his father alone at home.

"Even if they offer all their possessions, I will not stay there and leave my father alone. Compared to anything, Daddy is more valuable" he said.

The plane had stopped by then, they didn't even realize the plane had landed. A car was waiting to bring them back.

"Today rest at home, don't go anywhere. Tomorrow I'll pick you up for lunch" Damian said.

"Of course, I'm tired and want to sleep as soon as you arrive because you won't let me sleep on the way!"

Damian chuckled, an opportunity not to be missed. After all, a long trip just spent with sleep alone made him bored.

They got out of the plane together, luggage they didn't need to think about because someone was going to bring it home. Damian greeted Ainsley's family for a moment when they had arrived. He was not long since he had been eager to go home and see his father's circumstances.

At home, Mayumi can't wait for Damian to return. He was already very curious about the results of the search for the men Damian sent to find his lover. She hopes she gets some good news because she really hopes her lover is still alive.

Mayumi was even waiting in front of the window, she was really already impatient. Because he was so curious, he returned from the office sooner so that he could meet Damian soon. Mayumi looks happy when a car gets into the yard, it must be Damian.

He's out of the house, hopefully Damian brings good news for him. Impatiently, it was evident from his behavior even when Damian got down from the car, Mayumi approached him quickly.

"How's Damian, have you got any leads?" ask Mayumi.

"Why do you look so impatient, Mayumi?"

"Please Dam, I've been very curious" Mayumi replied in a clear tone.

Damian sighed, he hoped Mayumi was patient because his men had not found out the whereabouts of his lover.

"Listen, they've been trying to find out but they haven't found your lover's whereabouts."

"W-What?" Mayumi looked sad, she even looked down and cried. So Damian's men didn't find any clues at all?

"Have Akira and katsuo killed him?" asked Mayumi softly.

"Of course, anything can happen if it's in their hands."

"Did your men really find nothing?" mayumi asked to make sure. He was like that because he was depressed. Her feelings are uncertain lately especially after hearing Damian will soon be married to Ainsley.

"They've been trying Mayumi. Didn't I tell you they haven't found anything yet? Although they haven't found your lover's whereabouts, they found a place when they followed Akira and Katsuo."

"really?" Mayumi wiped away her tears quickly, there seemed to be hope.

"Yes, but we don't know if your boyfriend is there or not. I still ask them to monitor the situation. If your lover is there then I will go there to save him."

"Thanks Damian, I hope you can find him."

"Hopefully," Damian replied as he stepped inside past Mayumi.

Mayumi wipes away her remaining tears, hopefully her lover's whereabouts will soon be known so Damian can free her but unfortunately unbeknownst to them, some of Akira's envoys have also arrived in California.

They are there to execute orders, search for the girl in the photo and capture the girl and take her to their boss because she will be Mayumi's replacement. Soon, trouble will come to them when Akira's men have found the whereabouts of the girl he's looking for and by the time it arrives, the friendship between them will be put to the test as Mayumi must make a choice.
