Renata returns with a feeling of anger, she really does not believe her husband's illegitimate child does not want the property they have, especially the child does not know what will be offered later. He guessed, the boy would not reject all of Windstond's property let alone the condition of only needing to marry Sherly.
All this happened because Harry suddenly did not want to marry Sherly and pursue another girl. If Harry keeps marrying Sherly then none of this will happen. Does he also have to go see the girl Harry is after and ask her not to interfere with Harry and Sherly's relationship?
Renata was twitching the temple, she was completely dizzy. The incident not only happened because of Harry but also because of the past actions of her husband that they had closed as much as possible. Out of nowhere the old man knew of Carl's affair with ****** that but things got complicated.
Harry must not be a victim of a mistake he did not commit. He who deserves all Windstond's possessions, is not that bastard.
"It's all because of you" Renata said frustratedly.
"Don't blame me, but blame Harry for suddenly not marrying Sherly!" carl did not accept it.
"He's free to choose who he'll marry, Carl. Your father's ridiculous agreement with his best friend set him up. Why don't you think about his feelings? He had to marry Sherly without any love, he had the right to choose the girl he liked but why after he found his love, your father actually pressured and threatened him using an illegitimate child who was not comparable to him?"
"Why are you asking me this? Why don't you just talk in front of my dad?"
"Basic you're a loser! All of this happened also because of the disgrace you made so you better go see the boy again and talk to him! I can't believe he'll refuse what your father has to offer!"
Carl was silent, thinking. He thought the boy would not accept what his father had to offer. It could be seen from where they had gone. Does the company belong to his son? If yes then he feels they do not need to worry but do not rule out the possibility that the child will reject what his father will offer because it could be that the child has a greedy heart or could be a child it accepted what his father had offered for revenge because he had thrown the child away with his mother.
If the child accepts what the father has to offer, they will become homeless and the child will laugh at them and insult them. It seemed like he indeed had to meet the boy again and talk back to him.
"I'll talk to him" said Carl.
"Good!" answer Renata. She hoped her husband could persuade the child not to accept the offer that Aland Winstond would give.
Elsewhere, Damian is busy with his work after the departure of Renata and Carl. He did not want to think about their request even though he was heartbroken. It was the first time he had met his real father but his father did not ask him how he was doing, how his mother was doing but he asked him not to block Harry's steps.
Although he knows that he is just an unwanted child but still, Carl's request makes him hurt. Do they think he wants their property? Even if he had nothing, even if he was a vagrant, he would not accept a penny of their money.
He should have said that to them earlier, he was even sick of hearing the request of his father's wife who asked him to swear. How rich are they? If he had no conscience, he could have destroyed their company easily and if he was unable to, he said, he could have asked his sister-in-law for help but he didn't want to do that because he could tarnish his father's good name, Jager Maxton.
Somehow she missed Ainsley, what was she doing? Damian looked at the clock, soon after lunchtime, so he should call Ainsley and take her to lunch together.
The phone was taken, Damian contacted Ainsley without wasting any time. I hope Ainsley is not busy because she is eager to meet him. She needs the girl, just think of Ainsley as a vitamin for her to get back excited.
"Ainsley, are you busy?" damian asked when Ainsley had answered his call.
"No, why?" ainsley was getting out of the car.
"Eat alone with me, I'll pick you up later" Damian replied.
"No need, I'm in your office right now" Ainsley replied as he was at the bottom.
"What's? You're downstairs?" Damian moved out of his seat quickly.
"Yes!"
"I'll pick you up" said Damian.
Damian turned off his phone and after that, he called the receptionist to escort Ainsley to his room. He didn't want Ainsley to have any trouble down there.
It didn't take long, Ainsley was already in the room, the girl smiled when she saw Damian was waiting for her.
"Am I interrupting?" ask Ainsley the stale base.
"Why didn't you tell me if you wanted to come?" Damian walked up to Ainsley and grabbed her hand.
"I had a need with the client earlier so I thought I'd take you to lunch together after it was over."
"I also thought so," Damian led Ainsley towards the sofa. He sat down first and after that, Damian pulled Ainsley's hand so that the girl sat on his lap.
Ainsley was very astonished because just then, Damian hugged her tightly and buried his face into her chest.
"What's wrong Dam-Dam, has something happened?" ainsley asked as she rubbed her hair.
"Just let me be like this for a moment" Damian asked.
Ainsley nodded, his hands unceasingly rubbing Damian's head. They were like that long enough and after feeling enough, Damian landed a kiss on Ainsley's cheek.
"It's over?" ask Ainsley.
"Sorry."
"What's wrong? It's not usually you like this," Ainsley looked at him intently.
Damian smiled and gave a gentle swab on the cheek. The girl is really like a vitamin, now her feelings are much better.
"My father came with his wife" Damian said.
Ainsley frowned, what did Damian mean was his real father?
"Then?" ainsley asked in curiosity.
"Yeah, this is our first meeting. He didn't even look surprised but it didn't matter. Do you know why he came to see me?" Damian looked at Ainsley, as well as Ainsley. They looked at each other and after that Damian resumed his words.
"He came to ask me not to be Harry's hindrance and to refuse what Harry's grandfather would offer. No trite, he didn't even ask me how I was and how my mother was doing. Do I look so pathetic, Ainsley?"
"No, you don't look pathetic Dam-Dam," Ainsley hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"I never looked for them, not even asking for a mouthful of rice. But they came all of a sudden and accused me of screwing up their family. Is my existence a mistake?"
"No Dam-Dam, why are you saying that? I told you, didn't I? Even if your father doesn't want you, you have me, brother-in-law and Jager Maxton who love you so incredibly. You don't have to think about what they say that hurts your feelings. Show them if they think you're all wrong and show them you don't want anything from them and make your dad proud of you."
"You're right," Damian smiled and hugged Ainsley tightly.
He does not want anything from the Windstond family, he will show them that he will not accept what Grandpa Harry will offer later. After all he already had it all, treasure, great paternal affection and of course a lover who was always there for him.
