Behind The Boss

Behind The Boss
Surprise

Lusi sat on a chair in the living room of the Bara house. His feet could walk as they were. When he found the dismissal letter yesterday, he ventured to come today. The host sat down in front of him and was looking at him sharply. Feeling a little uneasy about it, he turned his face, looking around the room. The house looks empty.

"You live alone?" ask Lusi, try the pleasantries. Bara did not answer. Staring at Lusi sharply.

"How do you know this house?" ask Bara to the point. Showing his dislike blatantly. This weekend, he wants to spend time emptying his mind of work. Now the work is coming to his house.

"I've been following you" said Lusi kalem.

"Basic stalker! What's the point of you following me? Not enough to be a Radit stalker, right?!" he's starting to look upset.

"I didn't intentionally follow you. I met you on the street, "quick Susi argued.

"Then what do you want now? The letter of dismissal has reached your hands, right?" ask Bara cynically.

"Can't you say nothing to me, Bara?" Lucia said softly.

"Can't! If you don't like it, you can leave my house right now!" sahut Bara ketus's.

"Why do you hate me so much, Bara?" tanya Lusi looked at Bara with a look of pity.

"Hey, Woman! No need to use drama. I'm not Radit who pityes you easily. Tell me what you want to say! If you're still that kind of drama, I'm gonna throw you out of my house!" Bara even glared at him.

"alright. Why am I fired?" lusi's voice again sounded resolute.

"Hey! The fool must know his place too! You've done that to Kiran, you think you'll keep working after you do that?!" Melengos.

"Yes, I was wrong. But I was beaten and kicked by that woman." Lucia defended herself.

"Name Kiran. She's your boss's wife! The woman ... Until now you were not polite to her. Why do you still have to work there?! Surely you'll do another sneaky deed to her later."

Lusi. He looked at Bara. "I ... I don't know why I was so jealous of him. But I promise, I won't."

"Tell!"

"So I really can't work there anymore?" lusi asked softly, hoping that maybe everything can return as usual.

"You already know the answer. From the beginning Radit has given you the letter of agreement, right? Why didn't you use it to warn you in the first place."

Luci bowed listlessly. Not answering anymore.

"I assume this conversation is over. Now home! You're disrupting my activities!" the word Bara got up and stepped to the door, gesturing by opening the front door of his house wide.

Luci looked at Bara hollowly. "Well if so. I'm sorry to bother you" she said sadly and then stepped out.

The Flashback

"What do you want to ask?" ask Sandi Sanjaya, wondering why Radit asked her to meet. They hold an undisclosed meeting from Kiran, at a restaurant.

Radit was silent for a moment. After he managed to concoct the exact words, he looked at Sandi Sanjaya deeply. "Are you behind the attack on my sister, Ari?"

Sandi Sanjaya raised one eyebrow. "Your sister's attack? Didn't he drown like the news I heard?"

Radit observed Sandi Sanjaya's expression closely. Assessing the lie or honesty of what he said.

"I assume you're not related to that," he said later, observing that Sandi's reaction showed that she really didn't know.

"That night my sister took a picture of Karina's family with her parents. After that he had an accident and drowned. I found a bullet in his car tire. There are indications he was attacked before the accident and drowned."

Sandi Sanjaya sighed. "It's not related to me. I swear in the name of Allah upon it" he said full of earnestness.

"Do you know of any other Widjadja family that might do that?" ask Radit to investigate. He wanted to say that the person who had the bullet was connected to Sonya, but he undone it. There was no point if this man in front of him did not know at all. It can even burden. While Radit himself knows, Sandi Sanjaya is taking care of her sick mother.

"Eitherway. I'm less familiar with them. You could say they never thought of me as family. I rarely interacted with them" Sandi replied staring at Radit inside.

"This is the last question. Do you still want to bother Karina after all this?"

"Why are you still asking? Do you still doubt me? You think I was acting out apologizing to Karina back then?" ask Sandi can't believe Radit can still ask her like that.

"I'm just making sure. And if you're still like that, you're gonna have to face me. I wouldn't hesitate to destroy your company if you did. Even if you're Karina's uncle."

Sandi Sanjaya chuckles. "You're not afraid? I'm an investor in a lot of your companies!"

"On behalf of Grandma Tutik, not your name. Do you think that after a long time of not seeing each other, Grandma will not side with Karina or with me guarding her granddaughter?"

Sandi smiled wryly. "Actually without you threatening me like that I would never bother him again. I regret. Now I even want to protect her. If you allow me, I'd like to invite him to join our company instead. The company is his right." Sandi looks sad.

Radit then raises the last question to Sandi. A question that made the man so happy.

"After the truth you've heard about Papa Kamil, if the two of them, Papa and Mama Karina are still alive, do you still want to destroy their family's happiness?"

Long Sandi Sanjaya was silent. Her tears are floating. "Of course not. I'm even grateful if it happens. I won't regret it until this."

Flashback Off

Radit drives a car at a moderate speed. He repeatedly looked back through the rear view mirror. Make sure that no one is following them. Sandi Sanjaya has denied that she was behind Ari's attack that night. It means there are others, maybe from the Widjadja family who know the whereabouts of 'them' and do not want it to be known to all kinds of ways to prevent people who want to go there.

The road looks empty. When passing through the river where Ari drowned, Radit looked at the river sadly. Given that that's where Ari was found in lifeless condition.

They finally reached a house. It looks like a restaurant but is closed. Radit stopped his car there.

"We've arrived?" kiran asked unsure. What are they going to this house for?

"Yes. We'll meet in this house" Radit replied calmly. But his heart is beating. If the information provided is correct. So this is where it is.

Although the location is located on the side of the road, but because the area is rarely populated, the house looks quiet.

"It looks like there's no Dit" Kiran said, glancing at the house as if it's uninhabited. Because the door was closed and there was no sign of anyone inside.

"We knock, "Radit said. Step closer to the door and knock slowly.

"Assalamu'alaikum ..," call Radit.

After a long time of calling, the door finally opened.

A krieetttt!

The sound of the old door creaking. A woman poked out. A middle-aged woman with her instant hijab. Eyes glazed.

Kiran, who had not been looking at the door, heard the sound of the door creaking, suddenly turned her head, looking at the door. He was shocked. Looking at the woman in disbelief. A word escaped from his lips without his pinta.

"Mama ...???"
