Chapter 9. Doubt

After answering so many questions from police officers, Dion followed the officers to the scene of the accident. He wanted to make sure himself, if Briana was really dead. Upon arriving at the scene, Dion stared at the charred car with a strange feeling.

"Can I take a closer look at that car ?" Dion asked one of the officers there.

"May, just don't touch it. Because that car is under investigation." Answer the police officer. "Remember not to cross the police line." Say again.

Dion just nodded in understanding. He then resumed his steps to get closer to the car that Briana drove today.

The man stared in wonder at the car, because there was nothing there. Although the car exploded, it is likely that his wife's body or bones will still be found in the car. The luxury car, which was bought specifically by the father, was clearly empty as if abandoned by the owner before the accident.

"Didn't you guys find anything in that car ?" Ask Dion from outside the boundary line.

"Nothing, sir. Ever since we got to this place, the car has been like that." Answer the other officer who is doing his job.

Dion is no longer chiming. He just stared at the burnt-out car with a heart full of doubt. He believes Briana was not in the car when the fire broke out. If anything, maybe they still found a piece of his wife's body or bones in there.
