Broken Sword's

Broken Sword's
Ch. 01: Soul Transfers

Footsteps stumbled through the muddy road covered in fog. Fang let out a harsh word. Blood did not stop spouting from Fang's mouth and nose. The deep wounds had gnawed at his divine roots, making him unable to use magic to hide or fight back against the enemy.

Whistling echoed, flapping wings sounded sharp and further added to the gloom in the forest.

Thunder broke the silence of the sky. The thick white mist and the temperature of the mountains froze each end of Fang's fingers. From a distance behind, the sound of hurried footsteps and the sound of an eagle chasing Fang.

"Ware me."

Fang was sweating coldly. His sharp eyes searched here and there and managed to find a small cave that was enough for one person to hide. Pulling a few bushes to cover the door of the cave, Fang whose lips began to tremble had a deadly aura.

A mouthful of black blood spewed out. Energy in the body cannot treat the injuries suffered. Leaning against the damp cave walls, Fang sharpened his sense of hearing.

Those people who get paid are getting closer.

The bastard who had tried to harm him, Fang vowed revenge! But the divine root on his body weakened little by little, thinking hard, Fang took out a mouthful of blood he vomited and drew a seal on the wall of the cave. Soul displacement. He must carry out a transfer of soul before death or all his efforts to escape from the enemy will be in vain.

This technique is very dangerous. It needs to pay a lot for its users. Fang who had occupied the top position in the upper plains of Gollum country clucked hatefully.

Reciprocate.

I'll take care of all the complaints today. Drinking their blood is not enough. Cutting their bodies was not enough either. I will make them die in the most heinous way.

Charms of spells came out of Fang's mouth. It was not so loud that the eagle flying over the cave did not know it. Little by little sparks similar to fireworks appeared from the blood seal made by Fang.

"Holy fire, burn this body. Burn it to bitter ashes."

Hand lifting. Fang smeared blood between his eyebrows. His eyes were tightly closed. The sparks just spread out and started burning Fang's clothes. The hot air now touched his skin but his body remained sitting upright.

Fang again raised his hands up, bowed slightly as if to present himself, then the fire had just completely burned itself.

"Move this soul into a weak and frail body"

The longer the hot flame changes from red to blue, the longer it becomes purple. Although Fang's body was burning, there was no smoke. It was just that in the thick fog, the light from the fire was the only light.

The eagle that flew over was finally aware of the peculiarity inside the cave. Screaming called for his master and not long three swordsmen in dark clothes stood in front of the cave door.

"He really sold his soul?!!"

"Can't be allowed. Let's stop it."

Before they could get close, a burst of fire came out from the door of the cave. All three flew to dodge. The burning flame was bright purple. Whenever the three warriors wanted to pull Fang out of the seal area, the fire tentacles would bulldoze them to dispel.

"Dam. We're too late."

"Already. Our plan has failed miserably to kill Fang! That guy is notoriously crazy for revenge. We're gonna get the stone."

"Don't keep standing here. Let's go back first to talk about the continuation of the problem this time."

The three people who failed to kill Fang directly left the place and brought along the eagle that became a spy.

Fang who had yet to fully release the soul heard the voices outside. An evil smile was imprinted on his charred face. The skin of the body was peeled off and the red meat became a purple fire meal. "Eat and voracious this body!"

It turned out that the payment for the transfer of souls was to lose all of his fighting techniques and magic. He can't use both! Fang's eyes glared stunned.

Fang's spirit crouched down in front of the sword he had been carrying since rising to the seventh level of divine aura. Then I thought of a way. Calculating the time, his spirit would teleport within half an hour after his body was charred.

Exiting through the wall of the cave, the invisible Fang found a spirit beast. Slightly crouched down, Fang called out to the forest ape leader. "I need some help. Can you help hoard the stone in front of the door behind?"

The forest monkey chief threw away his face. Ignoring Fang and continuing to tell the herd to quickly grab food before it rains and make the ground and branches slippery.

"Ten years. I'll come in ten years' time and help make a seal of closure in this area so that no other creature will disturb."

The leader of the apes called for a signal. A group of apes stopped gathering food and surrounded their leader. A swarm of young apes did not see the existence of Fang's spirit. The leader of the apes the only sacred creature gave orders to his monkey friends to carry a boulder and asked them to shut the mouth of the cave.

"Thank you. As agreed, I'll be here in ten years' time."

Fang's spirit began to lift and calcify joining together the gusts of wind. The leader of the apes took a quick glance at Fang, if this human fails to keep his promise, the cave will be dug up again and cut off all the lush plants to make it easier to find!

***

Fang stood between the threshold of the world and the sky. His round determination was shown with firm footsteps, crossing the line, Fang was drawn by a strange force and immersed in a formless vortex.

"The baby just kicked."

"It's as strong as I will be. The old doctor said our son was a boy."

"Women are no problem either. We all have to love equally"

"Yes, yeah. I'll hear whatever you say. Our own son, I must love."

Fang heard voices but was too far away so it did not sound clear. Trying to sit down, Fang who had difficulty moving unconsciously kicked another organ.

"Ouch."

Losing words. Fang, who opened his eyes for a moment, saw that he was in a small, thin sac full of red water. His feet?! His two powerful legs were now a dwarf!

Oh.

Just sec.

She is an unborn baby!!!

All the last energy Fang had was lost instantly. Fang closed his eyes again, his body was not forced to sit down. Let alone ten years, twenty years was also not necessarily himself able to return to the seventh level of divine aura.

Other than being weak, the body he took out had not even a divine root at all!

Fang wanted to cry without tears.

Forget about revenge. Being able to return to high peaks is good ( ⁇ _ ⁇ )
