Broken Sword's
Ch. 42: Magic Academy Grade S Part 1

The half-hearted child whispers to talk to a known friend. Admission of new students is the same as in past years, there are no parents who accompany, only children who want to learn who register themselves.

The school registration desk is five. Fang who arrived late in line in the back row and waited a long time until his turn. The old man received Fang's registration file.

"Three years ago you quit school. Why go back?" S grade magic academies are meticulous in choosing student talent. If accepted slacker students, although initially accepted in the second semester will be issued without respect.

"I have a serious illness that puts me in a coma. Now my body has fully recovered and wants to go back to learning. Please teachers accept"

Old grandpa stroking beard. Staring at Fang with eyes looking. Then he said, "on the family card there is only you. No parents, how do you pay the semester money?"

Replying calmly, "my father left a legacy that was enough for me to use until I graduated school. Teacher don't have to worry, I won't wait."

Actually the legacy in question was the money Fang had collected when selling medicinal pills to the Demon nation. Due to the overbearing nature, even though pill medicines were made from cheap medicinal ingredients, the demons still paid a high price and tipped as well.

"If it's true, stick your fingerprints." The old grandfather issued a registration form on Fang's behalf. Storing files on the pile of accepted students, Fang was also given a bag containing school uniforms, books, and also a small plaque as an identifier.

"The Academy has a free cafeteria for students. It's the first day, the chef deliberately cooks to find out what foods the new pupil likes. You go and try."

Thanking him after receiving the storage bag, Fang headed towards the designated cafeteria. The academy's dining room was vast. Dining tables and chairs are neatly arranged and pleasing to the eye. Back in line, Fang picked up the food tray and followed the groove.

The kitchen assistant greeted the incoming student. Fang was given one bowl of rice, three main meals, two different types of vegetables and one clear soup. Looks luxurious but lacking in seasoning.

The man sitting at the same table complained. "The looks alone are amazing but it feels mostly bland."

"Reserve not. We'll write in the suggestion box for a better meal later" Another little friend persuaded and the table regained its composure.

Eating voraciously, Fang left the cafeteria faster. Do not forget to also comment that the food is too oily and less salt!

***

Fang's age friend was two years younger than him. Confusion does not succeed in pulling the ends of the sheets.

"Let me help you" Fang took over.

The boy was timid, "Thank you. Oh yeah, introduce my name Zuya"

"Fang"

"You guys have arrived?" One of the seniors smiled. "Welcome. Have you been around the academy?"

Fang shook his head. The embarrassed Zuya hid behind Fang's body.

"Well, I kindly offered myself. Come with me."

Senior Pawin invites Fang and Zuya to recognize the environment of the academy. "The "class is divided into three levels. The first level for the new school year's students, after a new year the second level rises and so on."

Shifting from the classroom, Pawin takes them to see the library. Fang who had seen this library in his previous life was not as enthusiastic as Zuya.

"Aren't you interested?" Pawin who saw Fang's strangeness was confused. "It's funny. Usually the new child will sparkle. Look Zuya. Well that's how it should be."

Cuek, Fang went inside the library. Without being told, he met the library guard and registered the name to create a member card.

"Your family went to school here?"

"That's how" replied Fang origin.
