Joanna's car just came out of Grandma Anne's house. Grandma Anne and Aunt Lim also stood on the porch to escort Joanna away. Just now they turned around to get back in, but stopped by hearing a car horn from outside the gate. A security who had just pushed the gate to close it immediately pushed again to open it. Not long after, two luxury cars entered the courtyard of the magnificent house.
They are Jordan Matthew, the only child of Grandma Anne. Rose Matthew, his son-in-law. She is also the only granddaughter of her beloved, Louise Matthew. Meanwhile, William, who should have the position as an adopted grandson, chose not to attend. But, instead she had already accompanied her grandmother and foster mother yesterday for a full day.
Grandma Anne immediately staggered as soon as she saw her offspring coming, "If only Joanna had stayed a little longer or they had come a minute earlier" Anne said.
"Already Madam, there is still another chance in the coming day" Aunt Lim said. Don't want her aging employer to think too much.
Grandma Anne welcomed her children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren with joy. Hugging Rose and Jordan briefly then switch to hugging Louise for quite a long time.
"Ma, it seems like mama's not being fair to us" Rose protested when she realized the difference in the duration of the hug between the one she got and the one Louise got.
"Rose, the number of hugs you got during Louise's departure is there much for you?" ask Grandma Anne.
"Ma," said the spoiled Rose.
Grandma Anne nodded her head at her daughter-in-law's behavior, "You're over half a century old and still spoiled like this. Aren't you ashamed of your son?"
"No" Rose replied. Then followed her in-laws again while her in-laws were still in Louise's arms.
Jordan who saw it could only sniff and joke, "Rose, just tell me if you really want to hug your son. There's no reason to want to hug your in-laws like that."
Hearing Jordan's words made Rose glance at her husband. From the look in his eyes, Jordan could receive a signal that radiated very strongly as if warning him to shut up.
"Pa, aren't you jealous of me?" ask Louise. Then hugged the two women into each of his hands tightly. And still kiss on their forehead.
"Louise, I've been jealous since you were in your mother's stomach and even more jealous when you were born. They not only ignored your papa but treated him like an invisible item" Jordan replied.
They all laughed at Jordan's response.
"Ma, look. Didn't mama messianic with papa?" ask Louise.
"No" replied Rose sewot. His hands hugged Jordan.
Louise only raised one eyebrow to look at her parents. Then, hand over the flowers in her hand to her mom, "Happy birthday, Oma!"
"Finally you remember coming home too. Are you planning on waiting for Oma to die just to come back?" granny Anne protested when she received Louise's flowers.
"Don't talk like that, Oma!" answer Louise softly.
"Louise, when are you planning on getting married?" ask Grandma Anne suddenly.
"Hmm?" louise asked as she raised one of her eyebrows when she heard the grandmother's question, "married?"
Everyone was shocked to hear Grandma Anne's sudden question. They had not even stepped foot to enter the house, but the old mistress had already poked Louise with a question that made Rose tense up.
Rose is very familiar with the character of Louise, her son is not a person who likes his personal life mixed up with others even though it is the closest people, including Rose and Jordan who are his own parents.
Rose and Jordan don't even dare to ask about whether there's a woman Louise is dating right now. Rose always held her back even though she was very curious, but her in-laws instead casually discussed the matter of marriage right in front of her without any burden.
Louise is Louise, she does not like dictation let alone being arranged by others. He will just do what he wants, ignore the unnecessary. Pursue what he wants and throw away what he doesn't need. He could flip through everything according to what he wanted as easily as flipping his palm.
Yes, she is Louise. Jordan Matthew who incidentally is his father did not even dare in front of Louise Matthew. The ruler of the business empire in this country, the owner of the whole country that even the higher ups submit to his power. It would be very dangerous to offend him in the slightest.
"Ma, at least let us in first," Jordan said, trying to divert the conversation, hoping Louise could understand the grandmother's question. Jordan knows what Louise's traits are. He could have left right now if his mood wasn't good. Jordan didn't want that to happen, especially on his mother's special day.
"Come in" Grandma Anne said later.
They also walked in to get inside.
"I'm going to go to the toilet for a while" said Louise as they reached the luxurious living room.
Rose's feeling was a little bit of a fret. Haven't laid his ass yet, but he's been rushing to the bathroom. Louise is not angry, is she?
"Louise, this flower you gave me, can you put it in Oma's room?" pinta Grandma Anne.
Grandma Anne offered Louise's flowers to Louise who had turned around.
"Sure," replied Louise briefly.
Louise left after receiving back the flowers, climbing one by one the stairs with plush carpet. While down there, Grandma Anne, Jordan and Rose saw Louise until invisible by holding her breath.
"Huh," Rose let out a sigh of relief as Louise disappeared from her eye view. Thankfully, her son was not angry, she thought.
"Ma, don't ask anything as sensitive as just now to Louise. Do you know for yourself what Louise is?" jordan said slowly, afraid that their conversation was heard by his son.
"I'm lost" replied Grandma Anne no less regretful. The look on his face changed a lot. Not so happy when Joanna came.
Actually, Grandma Anne had no intention of discussing marriage. It's just that, since far away he deliberately arranged in such a way that Louise came to his birthday today, hoping that Louise could meet Joanna.
It is undeniable, Grandma Anne indeed really hopes Joanna to be the granddaughter of her son-in-law regardless of her status is still mysterious. Even though Joanna was no longer a girl.
Unfortunately Joanna went home first because of an affair, of course this made Grandma Anne disappointed so that she unconsciously discussed about marriage.
"Mama looks disappointed today, what's the matter?" rose asked Grandma Anne, her hand holding her wrinkled hand gently.
"It's nothing, '" explained Grandma Anne trying to hide her disappointment with a smile.
"Who's the new guest?" jordan asked when she saw the glass that the maid had just removed.
"Joanna's here, but she just left before you came" Grandma Anne replied quietly. A little upset to recall his failed plans today.
"Could it be the car that ran into us earlier?" ask Jordan.
"Ma, why don't you hold it for a second? Rose misses Oskar, too" said Rose.
"You know what. Oskar is on vacation with his uncle and aunt. Mama had tried to hold it for two hours, but Joanna insisted on going home. Though my mother wanted Louise and Joanna to meet," replied Grandma Anne at length.
They don't know what kind of standard Louise wants. Of the many girls with various backgrounds they have collected, some of their colleagues also often try to match their children, but Louise still does not budge. None of them won Louise's heart. Worse, they were expelled before even approaching.
"Ma, don't be like that anymore. Do you remember how that happened?" rose asked reminding the old lady.
"Hhhh, then how better. Don't you want to hold a grandchild soon?"
The old mistress' question made Jordan and Rose speechless. Deep down, they wanted to. Especially when they get together with their business colleagues, sometimes they will also discuss about their funny grandchildren. Of course it makes them very envious. But I don't know, looks like Louise still doesn't want to let go of her bachelorhood. Perhaps, his heart died after he lost his beloved biological sister.
"Did oma really want a great-grandchild?" ask Louise loudly. She had just come down from upstairs and heard some chatter between her parents and grandmother.
They were a little surprised, but because it was already wet. How else would you like?
"Louise, you also know yourself that I'm getting older. Do not know until when can survive," replied Grandma Anne shrieked.
"Louise will make sure the oma lives a long time and sees a lot of great-grandchildren later" Louise replied as she sat next to Grandma Anne, then embraced her.
Grandma Anne breathed a long breath. He knew, this kind of answer he would get, "Alright, it's up to you!" grandma Anne said. He would never have won if he had to argue with Louise.
"If you really want a great-grandchild, Louise can bring a funny child" continued Louise.
"Louise! Don't you have kids out there already?" grandma Anne asked in shock.
"Where is possible" said Louise.
"Louise don't mess around! You like nightlife so much, who knows you're doing no-no and producing a child?" lick Rose.
"Ma, I know my limits."
"Whose child will you bring to your grandmother?" jordan asked no less curious.
"You'll see it later, Louise make sure you like it" Louise replied confidently.
"What, isn't your son?" ask Rose reassuringly.
Not without reason, it is still fresh in Rose's memory how she felt when a woman came to her residence while Matthew's extended family was in mourning. More precisely when Juan, his second child died at a young age.
At the time, an unidentified woman claimed to have pregnant Louise's child and held her account.
"Really," Louise replied as she held up her two fingers.
"Good then," said Rose in relief. His heart rate that had rhymed quickly began to return to normal as usual.
"By the way, in the room oma there are other flowers, from whom?" ask Louise to Grandma Anne.
White roses and lilacs, it just so happens to be the same flower that the girl Louise had bought at the store.
"That was a gift from one of the oma's acquaintances," Grandma Anne replied a little nervously, not wanting Louise to know her plan to bring Louise to Joanna.
"Who?" ask Louise to make sure.
"That's, an oma subscription store owner."
"Oma, I asked her what her name is not her job" insisted Louise.
"That's Joanna."
Grandma Anne's a little stiff, even with Rose and Jordan. The three parents had already started to let out cold sweat now.
"Louise, it's not what you think it is. He just came to visit" Jordan said. Give an explanation before Louise thinks things through.
Louise was silent, but smiled faintly at her grandmother's reply, "Jo, Joanna apparently," Inner Louise.
"Oma, how many great-grandchildren do you want?" ask Louise suddenly.
Grandma Anne took the time to see her son and daughter-in-law. What did he mean, Louise had never discussed this matter before.
Rose and Jordan can only bet. They looked at each other before finally nodding to their mother as if saying 'just answer'.
"Maybe ten," Grandma Anne replied.
"Just a gift from me, or a gift from William?" ask Louise.
"Ehm, it's up to you. But it seems like more is better."
"Oh, okay. Louise understood."
"Louise, what do you mean?" ask Rose to wonder.
"Have you decided?" added Jordan.
"What does he understand?" grandma Anne asked for an explanation.
The three old men began to teapot with Louise's words, currently they put their faces and ears well to listen to Louise's answer.
"I see how much money I have to find to support them later" Louise replied.
The three parents patted each other's hands. They thought Louise would say 'i'll talk to my partner' or 'well I'll get married soon'. In fact, Louise's answer deviated very far from their estimates.
Louise smiled, then laid her body on the sofa and rested her head on the lap of her beloved oma. Louise could see the people she loved changed her expression in disappointment.
"Aish, why have your expressions changed like that. If you are disappointed, don't be disappointed in me. Be disappointed in the woman who gave a bunch of flowers to the oma today. She ignored my marriage offer, "Louise continued.
Louise closed her eyes. He knew that man must be him. Because the flowers in her room left the same scent trail that the girl had left in her hand.
"Joanna, wait a minute. It's just a matter of time."
