"Oskar, your mommy today's lunch is delicious. Aunt Joanna's cooking never disappoints my taste buds" Ebra exclaimed.
The boy with a body that is more contained than Oskar was stroking his stomach slightly distended, even though they are currently not eating anything.
Their supplies have not been left since they passed their second break after noon.
"Of course, mommy is the greatest" Oskar praised.
"But why do you always eat Aunt Joanna's salty dishes when she's in front of you?" ask Ebra wonder.
"I was just teasing him. But seriously, sometimes mommy's cooking is really salty," defended Oskar.
"Ha, is that right? But I never seem to feel that way!" ebra said remembering all the flavors of Joanna's cooking that had gone into her stomach for the past two years.
"That's because you were too hasty to eat it" Oskar replied.
"But it all seems good. It felt so fitting and made my tongue hooked," said Ebra.
"No way, sometimes mommy's cooking is salty!"
"No, I don't feel that way!"
"Ebra, whose side are you on. You're my friend, so if I say salty yes salty!" ketus Oskar's.
"Of course I'm on your side. But, ah come," Ebra replied in the end.
As usual the two boys were now waiting for an invitation. The difference this time who picked them up was Joanna. Not Arthur, not Louise. The plan, they will immediately go buy a gift to give to Lily who will celebrate her birthday.
"Oskar, was that uncle of yesterday your daddy?" ask Ebra suddenly.
After sitting for so long, he finally remembered the figure of Louise who had picked them up yesterday. It seems, in Ebra's eyes the taste of Joanna's cooking was more imprinted in her memory than that of an honorable Louise.
"No," Oskar replied casually.
"You must be lying!" refute Ebra's whining.
He thinks Oskar must be hiding something. Something very important. For example, maybe it could be the uncle who yesterday was actually his future daddy Oskar.
"I told you not!" refute Oskar again.
"But,-" Ebra had not finished speaking, but had stopped because she was unsure of what to say.
"But what?" ask Oskar. He wondered what Ebra was going to say.
"Looks, you guys are very familiar and a little similar."
"You're right, we're so similar because we're both handsome. Isn't that what it is?" oskar answered by blinking his two eyes in turns right in front of Ebra.
"Oskar, where did you get that much confidence?" ebra almost cried. He is hurt when he realizes Oskar's nature is getting weird and almost no longer known Ebra lately.
"Of course from mommy, I don't have a daddy" replied Oskar.
"Oskar, don't say that. It hurt my heart. It reminds me that I don't have a papa either" Ebra protested.
Amidst the casual chatter, the long-awaited Joanna finally came as well. Without saying much, they ran straight into Joanna's arms.
"Mommy!"
"Auntie!"
"Hallo, honey! How was school today?" joanna asked cheerfully.
"I got an A+," replied Oskar.
"Auntie, I also got an A+," replied Ebra not to be outdone.
"Well, you two are great! But remember, mommy or Aunt Joanna don't care what your grades are. As long as you are honest, kind, polite, respecting others and have noble qualities is more than enough" Joanna said.
"Yes mommy!"
"Yes aunt!"
"Alright, let's go. Let's go buy a present for Lily!" bring Joanna spirit.
Joanna took the children's hands to her car. Then immediately take him to the department store available in the city.
Oskar and Ebra are very enthusiastic about choosing their own gifts. After circling the shelves for so long, they finally got a gift of what Lily seemed to like. The two boys left the department store feeling happy after paying their bills at the cashier. Right, they paid the bill with their own savings money that they saved from their pocket money.
.
.
.
Joanna sat pensively at the dresser, looking at her own face in the mirror. She could faintly remember, someone once combed her hair when Joanna was sitting like she is today. I don't know who, but it seems like that person is very valuable to him.
Every now and then, Joanna desperately wants to remember who she really is. What's his name, who's his family, who's the father of his son.
Is he married. She married the man she loved. Is he happy. But it seemed like everything was just Joanna's imagination, as more and more Joanna tried to remember, the excruciating pain she was in.
"Hhhh," sighed Joanna grimly.
Had he been able to get a little hint, perhaps everything would have been much easier.
"Why?" aunt Diaz asked as soon as she entered Joanna's room.
It turns out that Joanna's breathing voice could be heard by Aunt Diaz and Oskar who had just returned from Lily's birthday show.
"It's okay, Auntie!" answer Joanna.
Aunt Diaz shakes her head, knowing Joanna must be trying to remember her past, like the days before when she was pensively alone.
"Mommy," cried Oskar fiery. With a slightly pouting face, he immediately ran over and stopped right beside Joanna.
Oskar's round, black eyes are now glazed over. Not blinking looking at her mommy's face. Joanna knew, it looked like Oskar was going to start complaining.
Joanna glanced briefly at Aunt Diaz who was laughing lightly, before finally sitting on the side of the bed.
"Mommy, someone kissed me" Oskar said.
"Who, who is that man. How dare he steal Xiao O's cheek dear mommy, hm?" ask Joanna squashy.
"Lily," Oskar replied without covering up the truth.
"Lilly?" joanna asked, clarifying her sense of hearing.
Oskar nodded, confirming Joanna's question, "He said thank you for coming to his birthday but Xiao O didn't like being kissed so Oskar pushed him" Oskar said. It seems like he started to lash out, but also felt guilty at the same time for hurting his friend.
Joanna held back her laughter, however, and she was well aware that Oskar never liked a girl his age kissing her. Joanna didn't know for sure what the reason was, but it seemed to be inborn. Everyone has a certain tendency toward things differently, right?
Or if it wasn't for that, it's possible that it was also a hereditary trait of his father that until recently it was still unclear who he was.
Joanna stroked Oskar's fine hair, then kissed him gently on the forehead, "It's okay. Lily did not know Xiao O did not like such a thing. It was just a happy expression from Lily because Xiao O was willing to attend her birthday event. He had unintentionally made Xiao O angry, he must be sad right now."
"Keep what if next time he kisses Xiao O again?"
"Look, tomorrow mommy will take Xiao O to see Lily and her mother. Mommy will explain to them that Xiao O does not like Lily's treatment today. That way, Lily will know what Xiao O dislikes so she won't kiss Xiao O anymore, how?" bargain Joanna.
"Mommy, can Xiao O apologize now? Lily must be sad because Xiao O pushed her earlier."
"Sure, but it looks like it's going to rain now. Xiao O's best to apologize on the phone, and then Xiao O apologizes again tomorrow to Lily" said Joanna.
"Em, fine." replied Oskar.
"So where's the smile?" tease Joanna while touching Oskar's nose.
Oskar smiled sweetly, very sweet in Joanna's eyes. Aunt Diaz who had seen them finally came out, at least she knew that Oskar had solved the problem with Lily.
"Xiao O's. As an adult, maybe Xiao O himself wanted to kiss Lily," Joanna teased.
"Why would Xiao O kiss Lily?" ask Oskar.
"It's possible that Xiao O might like Lily one day. As you get older" replied Joanna.
"Is that?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Is mommy not jealous?"
"Xiao O is mommy's son. If Lily becomes mommy's daughter-in-law, it doesn't matter either. She's as nice and beautiful as mommy."
"But she's smart, not like mommy," Oskar joked.
"What do you mean mommy's stupid?" ask Joanna.
"No, it's just that mommy often makes something that should be easy more complicated" Oskar replied as he placed his hand on his waist.
"You speak like an adult" said Joanna, ruffling Oskar's hair.
"I'm an adult" defended Oskar.
"What a grown-up, mommy said Xiao O was only five years old" Joanna said.
"Mommy, has mommy ever kissed anyone?" ask Oskar suddenly.
"Once," replied Joanna directly.
"Who?" ask Oskar curiously. His round eyes grew even more when he was curious.
"Of course Xiao O" replied Joanna again.
Joanna laughed with great satisfaction at making Oskar upset.
"I mean a grown man, maybe mommy has a boyfriend but hides it from Xiao O, right?" search Oskar.
"Pacar what. Mommy is very busy. There's no time for that. But next time, if mommy had a boyfriend, mommy would tell you" says Joanna.
"Promise?"
"Promise! Oh yeah, Uncle Arthur and Aunt Alexa want to take you on vacation with them next week. Xiao O is leaving, right?" ask Joanna.
"Mommy's not coming?"
"Mommy wants to go but there's something you have to take care of" Joanna replied, clasping her hands together as an apology.
"Then after mommy's business is done mommy should take Xiao O away on vacation huh?" oskar Pinta.
"Alright," replied Joanna while tightly hugging her only son.
"Then after that, mommy was looking for a new daddy for Xiao O huh?"
"That, mommy will think about it" replied Joanna of origin.
"Or Xiao O's just looking for mommy?" haggard Oskar.
"Who taught you this, baby. Why is your sweet mouth getting naughty?" joanna asked, hugging Oskar.
"Mommy, I'm serious. I have one good and handsome uncle like me, you know, if mommy doesn't want mommy will definitely regret it for life!"
"All right, next time we talk about this again. Now it's time for Xiao O to take a shower and then study, okay?" persuade Joanna.
"okay, mommy. Remember mommy's promise to think about it?"
"Mommy's a promise."
Oskar soon rose, while Joanna shook her head. Since when did Oskar start letting himself be approached by a man?
