Han Shu scanned back the barrier in front of him while looking at the Blood Rat Monster trying to break out. He also stored the corpse of the Blood Rat Monster.

"The barrier will be destroyed at least 6 months from now. I'm just waiting for Yueyin to sort things out. Now it's time to check outside the mine."

"I must always make sure no one makes it through this barrier again." For safety, Han Shu then re-enforced the barrier with his qi energy.

After that, he went upstairs and intended to get out of the mine. He wanted to check the area outside the mine.

Han Shu rushed up to the upper region quickly. After more than a month of research, he finally managed to discover the secret of the Blood Rat Monster. They did not have any core stones on their bodies. However, inside his heart was a very small black gemstone that was very difficult to figure out. It was that gem that warded off cultivators being able to trace its whereabouts.

Han Shu collected thousands of those gemstones from the Blood Rat Monster he had killed for a month and made them into an artifact.

Han Shu used the artifact to pass through the middle and upper regions to keep it from being known by other cultivators. After arriving at the cave door, it turned out that there was a barrier that stopped him heading out.

"There used to be no barrier here. The barrier only exists in the lower region. And outside of the cave, where the guards were on duty there was also a barrier so that the miner cultivators could not escape to the outside world."

Han Shu inspected the barrier before destroying it, "This barrier is easy to break, The barrier only serves to signal to the guards. But since I have this artifact, I don't need to worry."

Han Shu then destroyed the barrier on the cave door. After that, he went into hiding. With the barrier destroyed, the guards instantly got a signal and immediately gathered in front of the cave door.

The guards immediately split up to search for Han Shu's whereabouts. To make it hard to find, he hides out at the camp guards after they leave to gather.

"This is the first time I've tried this artifact for so long. I don't know if this still works or not, I need to be careful."

When a guard checked the camp where Han Shu was hiding, it turned out that he could find his whereabouts. Before the guard shouted, Han Shu instantly killed him.

"It turns out this artifact is not perfect. Once out of here I'll perfect it."

Han Shu then took off all of the guards clothes and used them to disguise himself. After which, he pretended to search for his whereabouts to a place close to the outer border. Before that, he first removed the former corpse of the guard so as not to be discovered.

There Han Shu inspected the barrier surrounding the place. He was looking for the weak point of the barrier to prepare for the future in destroying it.

"I found him. Now I just have to find a way to get into the cave."

Han Shu immediately thought of a way that was to be the food deliveryman for the cultivators inside. But, he had to be careful in interacting.

"For now I must continue pretending to be looking for someone else."

After quite a while the guards searched, they finally gave up after not getting the result. They then concluded that the cultivator who destroyed the barrier had already returned into the cave.

"The barrier outside wasn't broken, so he hasn't escaped from here. He might not have come out after destroying the barrier. Arrange a guard in front of the cave door so that he does not dare to destroy the barrier again." explained the guard leader. He then reassembled the barrier at the cave door.
