Demon Emperor

Demon Emperor
Chapter 93 The Failed Plan and Han Shu's Guilt

After successfully defeating one of the Demon Generals, Han Shu returned to the Han Empire, to the battleground by opening his Dimension Space.

"I have to go back."

Once there, it turns out time has shown at night. Han Shu did not really remember how long he had fought with the Demon General. He was so focused on fighting that he forgot about time.

"Is the war still going on? Gawat, I left them too long!" Raca cenas appeared in his mind.

After Han Shu examined him carefully, he saw the wars that were still going on. However, the human army was only a few thousand left, and hundreds of them were elders. While tens of thousands more have died at the hands of the Demon Race troops.

They feel cornered and already do not know how else to run afoul. However, because they still had a little strength they still tried to fight back.

The bodies of humans and the Devil Race were scattered on the ground. If someone approaches it will smell fishy smell from their blood.

All other living things besides humans were dead, the trees were withered. It was like poison to living beings. What made him poisonous was the corpse of the Demon Race Army.

"Actually how long have I left this place?" Han Shu wondered. He felt that his fight with the Demon General was only for a moment.

Han Shu then darted towards the remaining human troops to look for him. As he got closer, he saw Emperor Han and old man Zhang Yu who were already panting from exhaustion.

Without further ado Han Shu immediately asked them, "How long has this war been going on?"

"Han Shu! Where have you been?!" They were shocked by his arrival, especially Emperor Han.

"Can you answer my question first?"

"It's been going on for 3 days without stopping. We've already lost. Our troops don't have much left to fight them." Emperor Han replied with a look of guilt because many of the inhabitants died of helplessness.

"No, it's my fault... I didn't have time to do my plan because I had to fight the Demon General. It's my fault for not being able to protect them."

Han Shu really felt guilty. A feeling arose in his heart. It was a deep sense of sadness yet, Han Shu had yet to realize that feeling.

Han Shu glanced towards the Demon Race army in the darkness of the sky which emitted only a hint of moonlight.

"Now you can come back. You run away to other territories to seek help, I'll finish this war." Han Shu lowered her head as she said that.

However, Emperor Han and Zhang Yu did not understand the meaning of Han Shu's words. Emperor Han then asked, "What do you mean? Do you want to fight them yourself?"

"I don't want more human casualties. So, you take the remaining troops to another territory and take refuge there." Han Shu repeated his words in more detail.

"Then what about you?" Emperor Han asked again.

"I'll stay here to fight them. This is my fault... I'll try to stop them from escaping."

"What! Nah! You can't do that!" Emperor Han rejected Han Shu's plan.

"Right son, you can't do that. Just let me stay here. I'm too old to live. I'm also too tired of all the wars I've been fighting all this time." Zhang Yu joined the conversation.

"Do you think you can stop them! If the remaining human forces try to escape, the Demon King and Demon General will not let you go just like that! They are a very strong Demon race to fight!" Han Shu who used to be polite in order to maintain an identity, was now yelling at the two of them.

"Hawahh..." Han Shu let out his breath.

"Han Shu is dead! Your son committed suicide during his sentencing trial! He was desperate because no one believed him anymore. He no longer has anyone to trust, including you! I am someone else! It's not Han Shu you know."

Han Shu no longer cared about his identity. He dismantled everything directly without waiting for the war to end as he promised at that time.

Emperor Han raised both eyebrows in shock at Han Shu's statement. But he still couldn't believe it.

"You lied! You are my son! You're still in front of me. Don't try and fool me!"

To make his trust even stronger, Han Shu shares the memories of the original Han Shu while in prison in the basement until the time of the trial.

After obtaining that memory, Emperor Han immediately shed his tears of sorrow. He immediately believed as the memory filled his entire mind. He had lost his son whom he had to protect because of a promise to his wife, the mother of Han Shu.

"No way..." Emperor Han continued to shed his tears until he wet his cheeks.

"If you don't want to leave, please stay here. I just want you not to disturb my fight." Han Shu immediately left after saying that.

"It might hurt her, but I don't care anymore. I have too many thoughts now. I had to calm myself down so as not to be controlled by emotions, "his inner self.

Zhang Yu who heard and saw the truth directly, was very surprised. He suddenly felt a sense of sadness because Han Shu who was considered like his own son was gone.

Zhang Yu then tried to calm the crying Han Emperor.

"Brother Han, let's get out of here. I'll help you go."

"No, this must be a lie! I don't believe it!"

"This is not a lie. I also felt that she was not Han Shu when I first saw her back then. Now I'm so sure after he says it all."

"No..." Emperor Han still seemed to find it hard to believe.

Zhang Yu helped Emperor Han to leave from the battlefield to the east. He also gave orders to the remaining human troops to go with him.

It was Yueyin who was still alive with a wounded body. He heard Zhang Yu's orders however, after they left, he did not directly follow them. Meanwhile, the other troops immediately went to follow him in the hope that he would survive.

"My lord, are you alive..." Yueyin looked towards the Demon Race army. He was worried about Han Shu.

The Demon Race troops who saw the human troops who were about to flee, immediately chased after him but managed to be stopped with the arrival of Han Shu who confronted them.

"You're not allowed to chase them."

Flashes of lightning, burning flames, elements of light and darkness fused in Han Shu's body. The element was stirring around his body. It controls all four elements at once.

Yueyin who noticed the flash was directly approaching towards him. He was very sure that it was Han Shu.

"Master!" Yueyin shouted to him.
