Okay, I know that we were transported here but where exactly are the people in this town?

Since everything here is a ghost town and the moving shadows must be strange with moving shadows and no noise here. But most importantly, where are the people here?

Looking around, I used [Haki Observation] and Hinata used [Byakugan] to find anyone and the results were strange to say the least.

Residents can protect themselves by using a spell, Hidden.

The disappearance of the citizens then led to the city being called "The City Without Voices".

During those years, Fairy Tail Witch and Dragon Killer Natsu Dragneel stumble into town, searching for his adoptive parents, Igneel. Residents manage to communicate with Natsu through the shadows and tell him about their predicament. Natsu promises to help them by defeating Daphne, the man who controls the Dragon.

Because they still waited years for him to undo the curse on them like I now remember where we are now. It's easy to forget about filler episodes like this once in a while but unfortunately it will take years to get back to normal.

Hinata frowned as I asked curiously about their situation because this seemed familiar to me, so I asked curiously to her and the core on the floor to her, "Say, say, shadow master, what exactly is this core here? Were they destroyed when ***** this Daphne came to attack?"

The shadow seemed to have no objection to my profanity as he started explaining to me that it was an experiment he used for his Lizardman or Dragonman when they attacked but managed to defend himself using magic especially those in this area [Hidden].

Hearing this, the shadow man began— explaining Daphne's origin to his city as an experiment but I simply got the summary version.

At some point in his childhood, Daphne saw a Dragon hovering in the sky. After he saw the Dragon, he attempted to tell his fellow villagers about it, but none of them believed him. After this event, he became obsessed with Dragons and started his project focusing on making artificial Dragons.

When his set of artificial Dragons hatched, he then decided to unleash his creations on the city to gather data for future research. The residents of the city were able to protect themselves by using a Hiding spell.

Interesting though...

In the anime, it is not much explained how Daphne saw the dragon leave, but if it had been years, the dragon might have escaped or hid somewhere for safety. However, this is just speculation at the moment nothing concrete.

But it's not our problem here, but I see a golden opportunity here for us.

If what the shadow man said was true then this place is heaven for us because this place is inhabited by witches and if we manage to gather their trust and gratitude in helping them, this place is a paradise for us, we get the benefits we need.

That means we have money to use in the currency of this world, knowledge of this world, their magic, maps, and specific locations. I admit it's outdated, but it might be useful for those of us traveling to Magnolia to find the Phantom Lord's guild and defeat it.

The opportunities here are very good but finding one Dark Mage in a world like this would be difficult but not impossible...

Lacrima is a magical crystalline substance found in Earth Land and Edolas. Lacrima can be activated with different spells and used for different purposes.

I think this is one of them. It was then that Hinata asked me in a curious voice towards me getting what I had planned, "Tatsumi san this is a very wise choice of action. By helping the citizens here, we will be able to get the needed needs here.. . Earth's land to help us fix it."

I smiled at her followed by a nod but then I asked Hinata curiously why she didn't know it sooner, "Yup. By the way, why don't you know the shadow that follows or sees us?"

Blinking at Hinata sighed at me as she explained to me with frustration in her voice as she spoke to me, "Huh. At first, I didn't detect anything here with my abilities, but when I used my [Byakugan] to see the shadows up close. I finally discovered who they were thanks to dispelling the illusions they had. It's just that this strange buzzy disturbance in the air bothers me. I'm used to seeing chakras, but these things are buzzy and weird to me if that's the way to describe them?"

Shaking our heads at this situation, we had no time to worry as the shadow citizen returned with the others as he began to explain to us carrying a compass, Gem, and map, "Sorry to wait for you two. I have to bring our friend here along with Lacrima's compass to help look for Daphne. And since you said you're both new, we brought Fiore maps to help though it might be obsolete as well as some gems to help."

The two of us nodded at this as the shadow magician used a tracking spell that showed a green light then to the compass as it pointed the red light arrow towards our next destination as he spoke expectantly to both directions, "Thank you for taking your time to help us in our time of need. When you return, we promise to reply you, please help us get back to normal."

Nodding to this me and Hinata promised the people here to return them to normalcy as we both began to figure out where Daphne was going according to the compass.

Along the way, I managed to gather those shattered [Lacrima] fragments and return them to normal never knowing when these things would be so useful.
