CHAPTRE 29. EMILY IS SICK

"May my daughter be fine." Anders continued to speak those words. It cannot be denied he is equally worried about Ellia.

Ellia was already feeling calmer now, her gaze turning to Anders who was still standing in his place. Then he moved from his seat to Anders.

"Why are you still here?" Ask so cynically.

"Because I want to know what happened to my daughter." Answer Anders.

"You don't have to pretend to care that way." Cynical Ellia again. Jeff and Fredy were watching both.

"Ellia, why are you always thinking badly of me? Anyway Emily is my daughter, is it wrong that I'm worried about her?" Anders asked with a small glance.

"You can hate me, but you can't deny that I'm your daughter's real father." Continued Anders full of emphasis who immediately got a sharp gaze from Ellia. How dare that man confess to me even if it is a fact.

"You..." Ellia growled, her hands clenched. It was very exciting to scratch the face of the man before him.

Clamps. The door of the room opened, stopping Ellia who was about to curse Anders. The woman turned around and approached the doctor who had just come out of there, followed by Anders and Fredy.

"Doctor, how's my daughter doing?" Asked Ellia who was looking forward to worrying.

"Patients are diagnosed with white blood cell cancer or leukemia."

The three people froze at the doctor's reply.

"Leukemia?" Ellia asked with a trembling voice.

How could his daughter suddenly suffer from such a deadly disease? Hasn't Emily been healthy all this time? And her little daughter was always cheerful, but why did she suddenly get sick like this?

"Yes, Madam. But the patient should have a follow-up examination." Answer the middle-aged woman's doctor.

"Doctor, do your best for my daughter." Anders said, the doctor turned his eyes to Anders.

"Sorry Mister. This hospital is only a small hospital, and we do not have complete equipment. If you want, you can take the patient to another hospital out of town for further checks and better treatment." Unmistakably.

"What's? How could this hospital not have complete equipment?" Ask Anders who started the emotion.

"Sorry, Sir. It is a small hospital in a small town. So it is very reasonable if the equipment in this hospital is not complete. Excuse me." The doctor resigned. Anders rubbed his face rough, while Ellia sat limp in the chair.

"Ellia, Emily's gonna be fine. We're gonna do what's best for Emily." Fredy tried to calm Ellia down.

"Fredy, please do something for my daughter. Let's get Emily out of town for treatment." Pinta Ellia.

"Relax Ellia, we'll figure it out." Fredy Sahut.

"Even Ellia would rather beg Fredy. Emily is my daughter." Anders looked at the two.

Anders thought for a moment, then he remembered that he had a big hospital in his city. Why not just take Emily there?

Anders walked up to Ellia and crouched down in front of her.

"Ellia, we can take Emily to Willians Hospital. My family's hospital, which is in the city center, is very well equipped." Anders offers a solution.

"I don't need your help!" Ellia then threw away her sight.

"Ellia, Emily's sick like this. Why..."

"I told you, I don't need your help!" Ellia interjected before Anders finished speaking. Anders tried to restrain himself from getting emotional.

"Ellia, you can hate me. But for now, I beg you to put aside your hatred. Emily is in need of treatment for her illness. Allow me to take Emily to Willians Hospital, so Emily can get the best care possible. Let me do something for my daughter." Said pleading.

"Is your hate more important than your own daughter's life?" Reciprocity.

Ellia was silent at Anders's question. There was certainly nothing more important in this world than his daughter.

"Ellia, that's right Anders said. Emily'd better be taken to Willians Hospital." Fredy is making a sound. There was confusion in the young woman's eyes.

"Fredy, I don't want to deal with him anymore." Ellia said as she whispered, Fredy smiled faintly.

"Let Anders do his job as a father." His word.

"You and Fredy can come with me if you don't believe me." Anders said, standing up. Ellia and Fredy looked at each other. Fredy looked soft. Ellia took a heavy breath. It seems like there is no other choice. Even if he and Fredy take Emily out of town, Emily will not necessarily get the best care.
