Elvarette Shiro

Elvarette Shiro
Episode 17: Saki's

You're not coming back, because you're adding to the wound.

Keep stepping, even though memories seduce the soul.

Because the train always goes in the direction of hope.

Either deviated or tempita.

In the train car, I was still busy opening the book sheet from Uncle Khidr, I read the book he brought from his hometown, in a village that was drained by the Jordan River. The book of understanding the heart became a precious memory for me. My eyes were still focused on devouring every word of the light green book, no matter how many hours were wasted, sitting alone by the window of the carriage.

As I read, my phone rings. The old phone with the blue candybar model toska given my friend Arafis vibrated fast enough to break my concentration in enjoying the book. I opened my phone and I was really shocked, Uncle Khidr called me. He called me in his distinctive heavy hoarse voice.

“Halo Saki, how are you doing there?”

“I'm fine uncle. Oh yeah how's uncle in the garden? What flowers have I bloomed?”

“She has bloomed son, very beautiful like you.”

“Ah this uncle, always teasing me like a child.”

“For uncle, you are like uncle Saki's own son, oh yes uncle has good news for you.”

“What good news uncle?”

“Have you met Namus, son?”

“Already uncle, he's a very polite man. We talked a lot about the human and angelic realms. Differences and similarities that we can take lessons for both parties. Oh yes I got a greeting from him for uncle.”

“Really? Then I'll take his greetings and send him my regards back.”

“Good uncle.”

“Saki?”

“Iya uncle?”

“You still remember the third guard position?”

“Third guard? I still remember uncle, is there a replacement?”

“Already, and maybe this will be additional good news for you.”

“Means?”

“At least the position of ‘si short’ has changed on your younger brother.”

“PAMAANNN..”

“Uncle joking, now you have a little sister for you.”

“So the third guard who is now a girl? Thank goodness then. I finally have a friend, oh yeah what's uncle?”

“Name Elvy, full name Elvarette Shiro.”

“Elvy, what a beautiful name uncle.”

“And she's the same as you, Saki Fidela.”

“Can uncle be?”

“That's right, she also had nightmares like you at an early age, roughly at 14 she had to swallow the harsh reality.”

“So sorry he's uncle. Who could do such a thing?”

“You wouldn't have guessed if the one who did it was his own father.”

“WHAT? HOW INSOLENT HE IS..”

“We never know about fate nak.”

“Uncle is right, I also never guessed if I had also been sold by someone I once loved.”

“Therefore I ask you to help him. Arafis helps in wisdom and you help him in sensitivity of heart.”

“Alright uncle, I will help him.”

I'm still chatting with uncle Khidr about the third guard. He has a background similar to me that is dark, only his age is younger than me and another one, he is more “short” than me. The last word about “short” apparently teased me, because at that time the shortest was me. I am thankful that there are shorter ones than me.

She, the girl that Khidr's uncle has been talking about for a long time, is going to help us. At least we have more energy in bringing people back to the light. In addition, this additional personnel can be new ammunition to block attacks from the azazil the deceiver. I want to meet him, meet the girl who has the name Elvarette in person. Maybe he could be my brother.

“Uncle, about when will I meet him?”

“You'll see him in a minute.”

“A minute?”

“Now he is with Arafis, they say goodbye to the sage Hallaj and will ride the carriage you boarded.”

“They're with Mr Hallaj? I also want to meet with uncle.”

“You will meet him when your task is done, after all you are also close to your holiday period?”

“True too, uncle.”

“Quiet, soon he will help you too.”

“I'm so curious about him uncle.”

“Thank you uncle, bye.”.

“Dah... see you later, saki.”

After I finished calling with Uncle Khidr, I leaned this small, oblong head against the wall of the carriage, a small tapered chin, and had a pale white face. It was in stark contrast to her golden brown hair that lit up brightly like a torch at night. This long-sleeved violet shirt and long skirt covered my tall thin body like a night orchid.

Outside the window of the train, I swept little Elvy away, as I stared at the lush trees moving like a shadow swept by the wind and disappeared into time. For a moment I looked at the window of the long-running train. From the reflection of the window glass, I trim this braided hair. This hairstyle reminded me of myself still innocently staring at the world before falling into a dark trap. Remembering I was going to one of the paragraphs I just read, it was about this:

“Shadows, oh shadows, shadows of himself that seemed to speak to him about the past he experienced, a mistake that he should not have done at that time. If he had known a close friend would sometimes be a wolf ready to pounce on sheep in the dark of the night. And now the sheep cannot return, either to the shepherd or to his flock.”

Hearing Elvi's life history made me remember my past. When Elvy falls for her love and respect for a loved one, I fall for the one I love. Love is blind, but blind because love signifies that love is only lust in disguise. And the regret arrived I was on the edge of the horn, a long time ago. The sadness that was so intense, until the desire to end the story, hoping that it would all end.

At the end of good and bad, between fantasy and real, I tried to commit suicide by jumping off the building, but something strange happened. I floated in the night sky, as soon as my body was covered in a veil of light forming a ball. Slowly my body became innocent, not wearing a cage in the dark. I thought I was already in the realm of embalming. And I thought I'd go into hell as a fairy tale I heard as a kid.

In that mysterious vacuum, I heard a strange whisper echoing in the room. That whisper gives a clue as to what happened. The veil that becomes the vacuum created from consciousness. Then, a cream-clothed old man came up with his trademark appearance, messy hair and a bushy brownish beard. He came carrying his shabby coat the same color as his beard and asked me.

“Hi my son, why are you here?”

“I myself do not know uncle? Is this uncle a life-revoking angel?”

“Life lifters? You gotta be kidding me, I'm just a passer-by. Oh yeah, this is a coat for you not to get cold. You must be the first time here.”

“If uncle is not an angel? Then who is this uncle? And why..”.

“You're between life and death, and why aren't you dressed? That is because the soul never wears anything but faith and a sense of resignation. When dressed means there is still arrogance and ambition in you.”

“jiwa? And uncle himself?”

“Only old men pass by, let's put on this coat before you get cold!”

“Good uncle, if I may know who uncle is, eh I mean uncle's name?”

“Call me Khidr, and you son?”

“Myname? Saki, Saki Fidela uncle.”

“Saki, a good name for a girl like you. You want to come with me Saki?”

“Cute where?”

“Cooking corn soup, in my house there is soup, and maybe you are hungry.”

“Sorry uncle, but..”

“Oh I get it, you're still traumatized by the men huh?”

“Hah, how can uncle know?”

“Consider uncle just guess, because usually people who come here have problems with his life, either eternal, identity crisis, betrayal, or suicide attempts. Maybe you're in one of them.”

“Actually this uncle what? What uncle gave you that whisper?”

“Not, uncle's voice is a little heavy and not suitable for whispering, it is the voice of your old conscience did not meet.”

“My conscience voice?”

“Iya, and uncle here only as an intermediary. Uncle is here to guide the wandering soul.”

“Uncle Khidr, please help me.”

“Please what?”

“Help me to seek tranquility.”

“Precautions? Sure oes. But what tranquility do you want to seek?”

“Precision in searching for the meaning of life, I want to find out what the purpose of my messed up life is. I've been devastated ever since I knew the people I loved treated me like a saleable item. I regret knowing him and am devastated by the actions of the people in my place.”

“You... sorry to cut, what do you mean you were made as, sorry, a comfort woman?”

“More than that, apart from being a prostitute, I was made a junkie of illicit goods like ecstasy and morpin. And I screwed up because it was uncle.”

“Wah, weight is also this.”

“Therefore I want to give up this dependence, but in vain. Then I decided to end this all.”

“By plunging from the top floor?”

“True, actually how can uncle read my mind?”

“Everything is clearly written in your eyelids son, maybe I can lead you to what you expect son?”

“Really?”

“Yes, but first you have to clean yourself up. And I'll find you decent clothes.”

“Thank you so much uncle.”

Long story short, in the quiet room I met him and led me out. In my confusion I went with Uncle Khidr. Learning and asking questions will be life. For two years I followed her daily life as a florist, sometimes as a janitor. He always gave me stories and advice when I was free or while eating.

Until one day, I was told to meet him in the garden looking at the stars in the sky. He took out two stars above the night sky and offered them to me. At that time I had to choose one of two balls of light that glowed as Uncle Khidr requested, choosing a ball of light that was red or blue. Then I chose a red ball, it shone brighter and brighter until the eyes could not see.

Then the light seeped in my body, my body feeling warm and comfortable. My mind feels airy and my chest has no burden. Then I got a job to do a spiritual journey that is now being run by Elvy. Stringing up the story of each journey I went through and immortalizing it in the pen scratches he gave me. Khidr had also contacted his friend Namus at his destination. He has prepared all the accommodations and necessities I need.

And here, at the beginning of my journey, I was sitting by the window of the car. The reflection of the shadow suddenly blurred, then the real view from outside the window of the carriage became what he had to see.
