Elvarette Shiro

Elvarette Shiro
Episode 19: Coffee

Only a lotus blooms from a desolate place.

Here on this black train my journey began, I was sitting by the window of the train. The reflection of the shadow suddenly blurred, from outside the window of the train I saw the last stop, the station where the first and third guards were waiting for the arrival of this train that I had visited. Soon I will meet with my fellow students Ohba and the new third guard.

Uncle Khidr said, I will meet them soon in the train. The black train started to slow down and would arrive shortly at their place. Black trains are cross-country and dimensional vehicles. Trains capable of traveling make up for space and time. The vehicles that transport us, these light seekers always arrive at the station to pick up anyone who needs enlightenment. The train drove between the dark passageways and shot towards the bright spot.

Trains like us, he always carries a load behind his back but never leaves. It is precisely the burden he carries that keeps him going forward and benefits others. Just like us. Maybe we are ashamed of our past, but believe me, all that will make us have a goal to improve ourselves and benefit both for us and for others. Experiences are our triggers to our true goals. Seeking tranquility and happiness.

I began to feel their existence. Two people waiting patiently for the arrival of the train. The first one has known for a long time who he is, but the second one is foreign to me. Maybe he's the guy that Uncle Khidr meant about him. The little girl who became the third guard.

The train began to slow down and stopped. Smoke was still soaring at the stop and opened the doors for the passengers, including the two I was waiting for. The train waited for a while before continuing its journey. The siren sounds like the train is going to run again, the steel wheels are starting to spin on the tracks. At first it went slow, then slowly its rotation began to quickly and vigorously pull the carriage.

I feel like they will meet me, soon they will come with their own stories that we will share together. Because here the train is a suitable place to share the trip. The train was speeding up, the trees turned into grains of sand that were blown and crashed by the car. The sky turned dark, no longer heard the noise of the train, only silence covering everything.

When silence arrived, from the door of the carriage appeared two people who entered the train car number three, where the girl sat. A little girl dressed in tufted white and a long white skirt, complete with lily-shaped hair ornaments, stuck to her right ear, the scent of lavender flowers accompanied the little girl. And one was a tall young man in a worn brown cowboy hat, yet he wore a jacket and trousers that were all black, neat and clean. His face was much brighter than that of his companion. To me, the face of the young man was no stranger.

They sat in front of me fixing the position of the red-framed glasses, both of them sitting according to the ticket they were carrying, which happened to be facing each other. I tried to remember it, the figure of the young man, later, the glasses girl remembered the figure of the young man. He who once helped to get a book with a light green cover, a book that he always read.

"Saki, are you here?" ask the young man.

"Arafis, you're also here, an unexpected coincidence, what wind brings you here? And who's that girl next to you?" repay me

"I, I'm delivering my friend who is learning this, he's a third guard. Oh right, meet her, Saki Fidela, my friend, and her name is Elvy Shiro."

"Introduction, my name is Elvarette Shiro, greetings."

"Saki Fidela, nice to meet you."

"How long have you been here saki?" ask the young man.

"My friend has been sitting here for a long time, for some reason I have sat by myself staring at the window of the train with the same view every time" he replied with a cold face, yet there was still a smile of honesty at the corner of her thin lips.

"You're still the same, Saki." Sela Arafis

"You haven't changed, either, you're still wearing that blind hat wherever you go."

"Of course, this was my first hat when I was on duty, the duty of being the messenger of Namus."

"And the messages that you brought were also addressed to me, Arafis."

"Everyone will get a message, but the only ones who are aware of the message are a handful of Saki, and you are the lucky few, as my friend who sits beside me."

"You're also including little lady?"

"That means you're currently on duty?"

"You could say so Saki, Rarely find a jewel in a mud pit, only a lotus blooming from a bad place." Answer Arafis

"But not always the lotus will be eternal my friend." Reply Elvy spontaneously.

"It depends on my friend, do you want coffee? Elvy what do you want to order?" I bargained for both.

"I'll just order a cappucino!" answer Arafis

"I'm just warm chocolate!" pinta Elvy

"Well, ma'am, we ordered black coffee, cappucino and warm chocolate, six potato chips, yeah."

Then the lady who used to carry food on the train recorded the order the young man requested. With a sweet smile, the lady repeated the ordered order and immediately prepared it. Their conversation resumed, the conversation of two old friends who did not meet.

"If you may know, where are you going Saki? Do you want to take a tour?" ask Arafis.

"So, I just want to get out of my place, sometimes we need to find something new." My answer.

"You're right, then do you know what your purpose is?"

"That's what I'm thinking, my goal is still uncertain, just your gift book is my reference to go."

"May I guess, you want to find a better life?"

"You think?"

"I think it's good, you have to find your own way."

"However, I still worry about the path I choose, sometimes I doubt which one I should go through, many say the path I choose is the wrong one, and many people say it is the wrong one, but what you're telling me is more soothing to my mind."

"All have a choice, the choice we choose to determine our own path as a wild road in the mountains, wild grass slowly becomes a dense land when often passed by the climber."

"You see that window? Every time I always see the vegetation and lush trees moving and disappearing by the speed of this train. Every time I see it, I feel like I'm like the tree I see, disappearing in time. Complaining is only a way for the loser, but contemplating what we receive sometimes becomes a mirror for me."

"You're starting to understand that, then why are you still hesitating?"

"Didn't you doubt some of the locks opened the doors?"

"Doubt without basis is tantamount to uncertainty."

Not long after, the lady who brought their order arrived with black coffee, cappucino, and warm chocolate, and some potato chips. Paper cups were still billowing smoke. Under the window of the train was a board desk, a special place like a table, where their orders were placed. Only the young man immediately sipped his order, while both of them were still waiting for their drinks to decrease in heat.
