Chapter 639

"Sorry, I got the wrong person," Angelica's expression returned to her cold and distant self as usual. He glanced at Ethan and there was disappointment in his eyes. He then looked back at Diane, "I'll be looking forward to seeing how well you're doing."

He then stepped into the elevator looking back.

After the elevator door closed and went down, Diane turned to look at Ethan.

"Why are you pretending you don't know him?"

Ethan knows her and knows very well that Angelica refuses to let go.

"Are you afraid he'll take you away from me?"

His eyes are a little red now. If Ethan wants to leave, he can't stop him and neither will he.

Back when she first got to know Ethan and had to marry him, she was filled with despair and wanted to divorce him and get as far away from him as possible. But now he could not bear to leave her at all.

After leaving the Palmer Group, Angelica was a little dazed.

He keeps replaying all of their childhood memories together and tries to combine Ethan's current appearance with his present one.

But no matter how hard he tried, he could not match them.

When he saw Ethan earlier, he was clearly a weak man who lived off his wife. He did not even dare to speak too loudly in front of Diane. How could this be Ethan who dared to beat up other children when they were little?

Angelica closed her eyes and leaned back in the car seat. Maybe he'll never see her again.

There was a car following behind him and keeping a distance from Angelica's car.

"Your Majesty said we can use any method to try to find out about him" said one of them in the car in an evil voice.

"What do you want to do?" ask another man.

His evil eyes stared straight at Angelica's car and looked murderous. "Kill him!

The murderous air within him made the surrounding air turn cold instantly.

Angelica seems unaware that she has been followed. He was now in a very bad mood and felt very depressed.

He came with great expectations and would leave with great disappointment. He's really upset.

How long has he been waiting for this?

Fifteen years!

Ever since she was sent off, Angelica has tried to track her down but to no avail.

Her family had even annulled the engagement and refused to let her marry someone who had been expelled from a powerful family.

The car reaches the hotel and Angelica gets off. He took the elevator to his own room.

He wanted to rest for a moment and organize himself first. He decided to take a nap and return after he woke up.

Angelica walked into her room and was about to close the door when suddenly...

A knife appeared in the door!

Angelica was shocked when she saw the pair of evil-looking eyes. He immediately pushed open the door and locked it from the inside.

Who's that?!

Why would someone follow him?

Angelica's face paled as she used her body to push the door and her heart started pounding.

Someone kicked the door!

The door shook violently.

Angelica's face paled. He quickly pressed a button to call the receptionist for help, but the call was interrupted after two rings.

"Who are you?!" angelica shouted in panic. "I'm from the Long family in the north, how dare you come and kill me!"

The only response he got was another kick in the door. There's a crack in the door now!

Angelica immediately stepped back and picked up the ashtray from the table. That was the only thing that looked like a weapon he could use to defend himself.

Angelica grew even more panicked as she watched the door being kicked violently again and again.

He pulled out his phone and called his driver, "Someone tried to kill me!"

What the hell is going on?

Why is someone here to kill him?!

There was a loud explosion when the door was finally kicked open. Two figures immediately ran in and Angelica dropped her phone in fear.

Angelica tried to remain calm even though they were dressed all in black and their eyes were filled with cold and murderous gazes. But he realized that his legs seemed to be unable to move anymore.

"Kill him!"

Both men were ready to kill him.

Suddenly, five or six other men ran out from inside his room. They were extremely fast and blocked the two men from all sides.

"We've been waiting for you for a long time."

Angelica was even more surprised.

This was his room, so why was there someone else hiding inside?

And who are those other men?

They seem to be protecting him.

"Kill them all!"

The two men in black spoke coldly and the ferocious glint in their eyes did not disappear. They immediately rushed towards another man.
