LEGEND OF THE ORIGIN OF GORONTALO CHICKEN

In ancient times chicken did not exist or not yet known in Gorontalo. Later after the story of the events of the father and his biological son, then the chicken began to be known there.

The story of the events of the father-daughter is meant, is not merely happening and arises because they live and dwell in the womb of his mother, and, the father had told the mother to go to Mecca to study or learn to deepen knowledge about Islam through Islamic leaders called Shech.

After making preparations as necessary the father went to Mecca, and on the other hand the womb was getting closer to the time of birth and finally according to the normal size for each gestational age, the baby girl was born.

Travel after birth began to pass from one phase to the age of about seven years the child began to know the environment or neighbors especially playing with children his age.

One special impression that caught his attention at that time was that he had heard from the neighboring children calling and mentioning father and mother and could clearly see the reality that there was that inside their house has a man and a woman, and he knows his mother only.

There was doubt and it was a question mark in his heart, what was the reason. The feeling of curiosity got bigger in his mind and apparently he was not able to answer himself, then he asked his mother, saying, “Mother! Your father is currently studying to explore the knowledge of Islam in Mecca. Hearing the words of her mother, the daughter was happy because she would be able to meet her father in Mecca. But there is still one more problem for him, to get an explanation from his mother, which is to mennankut his father's character to be easily known by him.

The consultation took place in a calm and smooth atmosphere the girl gave up completely what was made and arranged by her mother Shech, in the sense that everything she would obey and obey. Thus there was an agreement to carry out their marriage or marriage so that they would officially become a legitimate married couple, living happily in an atmosphere of affectionate love.
