LEGEND OF THE ISLAND OF SHIPS

It was once about a very poor family. They live near the Cecuruk River. To fulfill his daily life, the family relied solely on the proceeds from selling fruits and leaves to the markets he got from within the forest. The husband and wife had a son named Kulup. My foreskin was very diligent in helping her parents make a living. All the family members help each other. They seem to live happily despite their lack of life.

One day, Kulup's father went to the forest to look for a young bamboo shoot. The shoots were planned to be eaten by them. But, while cutting down the bamboo shoots, he found a stick that was in the bamboo grove. Mr. Kulup, as he was usually accosted, took the stick and wanted to throw it away. Before his intention was accomplished, he watched the staff closely. He thought the stick was not a stick. Out of curiosity, cleaned the stick. Sure enough, after the dirt that stuck successfully cleaned, look sparkle diamonds, gems, and red stone pomegranate studded in the stick.

"Who is the owner of this stick? Surely he felt lost," thought Mr. Kulup confused.

Amidst the confusion, Mr. Kulup decided to bring home the bamboo shoot and the precious stick. Upon arrival at home, Pak Kulup only saw the Kulup who was sleeping because of fatigue pushing the train. Meanwhile, his wife was working at his neighbor's house. With uncertain feelings, Mr. Kulup rushed after his wife at his neighbor's house.

After picking up his wife, on the way home to his house, Pak Kulup recounted the incident. Hearing the story, the wife was surprised.

"How could there be such a precious stick in the thicket forest?" thought Mother Kulup.

Not feeling, they have reached home. Mr. Kulup, his wife, and the Kulup negotiated the find.

"How about we just keep this stick. Who knows if there are people who feel lost and look for it" suggested Mr. Kulup.

"But, where would you like to keep that precious stick, sir? We don't have a closet to store it. If it's put outside, I'm afraid this cane is stolen instead," his wife worried.

"How about we just sell this precious stick so that we do not bother to keep it," suggested Kulup.

With various considerations, they finally agreed to sell the invention stick.

"Kulup, go to the other country to sell this stick" his father ordered.

"All right, Father" replied the foreskin.

Some days I have gone to the other country to sell precious sticks. Finally, the stick was bought by a wealthy merchant at a high price. However, Kulup did not immediately return to his home, he chose to live in the region to become a rich man.

When he arrived at the mouth of the Cecuruk River, Kulup remembered his hometown. The ship then docked at the Cecuruk River. The atmosphere of the ship is very crowded by the sound of animals for its supplies on the road such as chickens, ducks, geese, birds, and other animals. The news of the Kulup's arrival was heard to the ears of his parents. How happy they were to hear that. Their longing for this will soon be treated. The mother was busy preparing her favorite food.

The next day, both parents Kulup went to the ship to meet Kulup with Kulup favorite food. The ship looks so fancy. Both parents can't wait to meet their beloved son. Upon arrival on the ship, the mother screamed for the foreskin.

"My son's mouth..Where are you? It's mom, foreskin."

Hearing his mother's voice, Kulup looked confused. He is ashamed until others find out that the parents who dress in slums and look poor are his father and his biological mother.

"Who are y'all? Get off my ship!" yell at the Foreskin.

"We are your mother and father, son. Do you not recognize us anymore? I have also brought you your favorite food," replied Kulup's mother in a sad tone.

"What food is this? I don't like village food like this. You need to know, my parents were a rich merchant. Not a rascal like you," said Kulup while throwing food made by his mother.

Hearing harsh words from his son's mouth, the hearts of both parents were broken. They feel humiliated. Their hope of letting go is only hope. The child he loved so much had turned into an ungodly child.

After leaving the ship of the Kulup, the mother who could not hold back her anger with emotion said, "If the rich merchant is really my son the Kulup, let the great ship sink with him!"

The two foreskin parents then returned home with wounded hearts. Not long after their departure, a huge storm suddenly appeared and a very high sea wave hit the ship Kulup. Finally, the big ship was tossed and turned upside down. All passengers were killed in the incident.

A few days later, at the place where the shipwreck of the Kulup, appeared an island that resembled a ship. At certain times, on the island there were sounds of animals innate the Kulup on his ship. Now, the island is called Ship Island.
