With a feeling of shock, he rushed up from his sleep, not caring even though he was sick. In tattered clothes, he limped over to greet his only child in the harbor.

Hearing the commotion on the deck, suddenly the Sassy accompanied by his wives suddenly appeared and said, “Lies! She's not my mother. Dismiss him from my ship,” shouted the Lancang who stood beside his wives. Apparently he was embarrassed if his wives found out that the old and poor woman was his mother.

“Oh, Sassy ..., My son! Mom misses you so much, son ..” Struggled Mom. Hearing the old woman's moans, presumptuously the Sassy brushed aside, then said, “that's probably I have an old and poor mother like you.” Then the Sassy yells, “Kelasi! Get that crazy woman off my ship!” The Lancang's men chased the Lancang's mother away violently. He was pushed to the point of falling. Poor old Mom Lancang. It's old, sickly anyway. What a pity his fate. His heart was crushed by his own son. With a sad heart, the old woman went home to her hut. Along the way, he was crying. He did not expect his son to do that to him.

Arriving at home, the poor woman took a dimple and emulated the heirloom. He twirled the dimple and fanned it in a faux manner while praying, “Yes, my Lord. I gave birth to the Sassy and raised it with my milk. But after being rich, she did not want to acknowledge myself as her mother. Dear God, show him your power!”

In an instant, suddenly a typhoon blew fiercely. Thunderous lightning snatched the Lancang's ship. The Kampar River waves hit the Lancang ship to pieces. Everyone on board shouted in confusion, while residents ran away from the river.

“Emaaak ..., sassy your son home. I'm sorry, Maaak!” there was a faint sound of the cry of the Sassy in the midst of typhoons and storms. But disaster is inevitable. The Lancang and all his wives and men drowned with the magnificent ship.

The goods on board the Lancang ship were scattered by the storm. The silk cloth that Lancang carried in his ship floated. The cloth then folded and stacked into the Folding Country of Cain located in Kampar Kiri. A gong was thrown and fell near the Lancang's mother's hut in Rumbio, becoming the Ogong River in Kampar Kanan. A pottery broke and floated into Pasubilah which is located adjacent to Lake si Lancang. In the lake that flagpole of the ship Lancang upright left. If at any time the flagpole of the Lancang ship suddenly appeared on the surface of the lake, then there would be a flood in the Kampar River. The flood was the tears of the Lancang who regretted his actions for disobeying his mother.

Since the event, the people of Kampar believe that the overflow of the Kampar river is not only caused by the high rainfall in this area, but also caused by the emergence of the Lancang mast on Lake Lancang. Kampar Regency, which is included in the Riau Province, is very prone to flooding. Almost every year the Kampar River overflows, causing massive flooding that can soak the surrounding residential areas.
