Forgetting the Ex
Chapter 66

Linda was pacing the kitchen, looking for a way to get out of the house without having to talk or chat with the Saskia family.

He returned to the living room with a bag that he usually takes for a walk or gather with his fellow tourists, not to forget he also changed his clothes.

"Sorry everyone, I have to go. There was a friend from out of town suddenly calling to meet," Linda tried to restrain herself from keeping her emotions stable and she pretended to be fine.

"Ma, sit down for a minute." Pinta Judis's. "They want to know Mama" he continued.

"Hmm, Judis forgive Mama. Next time, yeah!" he looked at his son.

"Ma, wait a minute" Hendi spoke.

Linda ignored the request of her husband and son, she chose to leave the uninvited guest.

Only Papa Saskia understood why Linda had to avoid him, she knew that she was so ordinary.

"Sorry, my wife can't accompany us here!" Hendi opened their conversation chat.

"It's okay Mr. Hendi," Papa Saskia began to speak.

After the Saskia family returned from their home, Linda returned. "Hopefully they never come back here again" he said.

"Mama, Papa wants to talk!" Hendi walked into the room first.

Linda looks relaxed like there is no problem, she tries to cover up her anxiety and fear.

"Why did Mama behave like that to Mr Arman's family?" Hendi was disappointed with his wife's attitude.

"Mama didn't do anything wrong" he replied, trying to calm down.

"Mama's attitude shows that you don't like their arrival, when before you look ordinary," Hendi tried to speak calmly.

"Already, Pa. After all they have come home, Mama'sih hope they do not come back here or meet him again," he said.

"What are you hiding from Papa?" Hendi became suspicious of his wife's attitude.

"Nothing, Pa. Your wife is not hiding anything from you" he replied.

"Papa hope Mama doesn't lie" Hendi exited the room.

After her husband left, Linda slumped her body to the floor. He began to shed his tears, he repeatedly wiped them away. "He can't know the truth, I hate him!" inner growled.

Linda immediately wiped her tears when she heard the sound of footsteps approaching the door of the room, she got up and went to the bathroom.

This afternoon, Michael invites Nora to accompany him and Kara to lunch with Karin.

"Jiang, Mama's son!" Karin greeted the toddler in Nora's arms. He tries to take over but Kara refuses in her birth mother's arms.

"Kara, she's your Mama!" Nora persuades the baby and hands him to Karin, again Kara throws her face away.

"He won't, don't be forced!" said Michael.

Karin relented in order to win the heart of her ex-husband. "I'm sorry Mama, son!" He showed a sad face.

"He won't care about you, even if you repeatedly apologize to him" Michael said.

"Yes, I was wrong. Hence, I want to make amends by taking care of her and taking care of her, "pinta Karin.

"When is this eating?" Michael's trying to divert the outpouring of his ex-wife's heart.

"Oh, yeah. Just order the ones you like!" tawar Karin. shows the menu book and calls the waiter of the restaurant.

"What do you want to order?" michael asked Nora, who immediately got a cynical look from Karin.

"I soto rice and sweet tea just cool," replied Nora origin.

"If Michael, beef steak and soursop juice!" Karin mentions her husband's favorite food. "I still remember" he said proudly.

"Oh, yes. I ordered what he said!" point it towards Karin.

"If I am the same, too" said Karin.

"Good!" said the waiter then he mentioned the ordered food menu again. "Please wait for the order" he said.

Nora takes Kara a little away from her parents because the toddler always points to something so she has to follow her wishes.

"Michael, I want us back." Karin without shame.

"I asked you to stay, but you left!" The answer he gave to his ex-wife.

"I promise I won't repeat it" Karin shamelessly pleaded.

"Slowly, you better find a man richer than me. Can fulfill your wish!"

"Michael, listen to me!"

"The food has come" said Michael stopping Karin's whining.

"Please," the waiter smiled at their order.

"Thank you" said Michael.

Nora rejoins and sits down with Karin and Michael.

"Here let Kara carry me, you eat!" Michael tells Nora to eat first.

"No, you eat. Kara's with me" Michael said.

Nora ate, and so did Karin. Michael's ex-wife smiled cynically at the woman at the table with him.

Michael stayed away from the dinner table, so Kara wouldn't interfere with their eating. Although there is a special bench for toddlers provided but Kara does not want to sit.

"You're like Kara's nanny" Karin quipped.

"Oh, yeah. Rather than you just being considered someone else in Kara's eyes when you were her real mother," Nora replied to the insinuation of the haughty woman.

Karin clenched her hand. "You can't take my place in Michael's heart."

"But I can change your position in Kara's heart."

"I won't let you into Michael's life" Karin threatened.

"Are you sure you can get into his life?" Nora asked defiantly

"You!" furious Karin.

"Darling, we'll see you sometime. But you and papa," said Karin kissing Kara's cheek. "Mama always misses you!" menoel nose of his daughter.

"Come, we're home!" Michael held Kara on the right side, baby bag she sled in his left arm.

Nora nodded. His right hand was clasped by Michael they walked to the exit of the mall building.

Karin who saw Nora clasped her hands clenched in annoyance, she stomped her feet.

Nora glimpsed back and pulled the corner of her lips as if saying she was the one who won.

Kara falls asleep in Nora's lap on the way home, after she also delivers formula milk in a bottle.

"Today didn't say anything, did you?" ask Michael.

"No!"

"Good!"

"Why indeed?"

"I'm afraid he'll threaten you!"

"Maybe he's afraid of you, I take it!"

Michael smiled faintly. "Yesterday, wherever he was, he now knew what it meant to lose."

"But Karin is almost the same as my former boss" he said.

"Same, how?"

"Every day he always confided about his ex-wife, until I had to pretend to be his lover so that he was not betrothed to another woman even though he was forced to marry her," he explained.

"So what was the cause of the breakup?"

"He said, his ex-wife couldn't stand the attitude of her former-in-law" he replied.

"Oh, so. So now it's his relationship with his new wife?"

"Why didn't you want to be with him yesterday?"

Nora smile. "Hearing the story of the cause split up, it already gave me goosebumps."

"So his first ex-wife got married again?"

"So you're just pretending to be her lover to be with her?"

"Who's his ex-wife's name?" For some reason Michael's mouth was suddenly curious about the woman.

"Sabrina!"

Michael braked suddenly.

"Why?" Nora was astonished that suddenly the man braked.

"Full name?"

"Sacred Sabrina, she is married to the owner of AR fashion."

"So?"

"You know him?"
