Chapters 30. Shocking Surprise

The next morning, Ethan is thrilled that today he is going with Olivette to meet a client. Clara saw her son's face change was getting happier.

"Ethan, I think there's something different about you. What's up?"

"Oh, this afternoon we will meet Mr. Vincent, Ma. He came with his wife then asked me to bring a couple."

"Gee, my mom's happy. Lucky Olivette's been here, yeah!"

"Yes, Ma. I can't believe we ate alone last night. You know what makes me nervous?"

Clara shakes.

"My heart, Ma. It feels like it's going to explode with him."

"Well, apparently my son is in love."

"Looks like. Oh yes, Ma. I have something to talk about before I go to the office."

"Hemm, what is it?"

"Ma, I'd better not have to invite Will or Wileen. Olivette's definitely not gonna be comfortable."

Ethan's attention to women is so great. Really want to keep the feelings of his future fiancee.

"alright. It's up to you."

Clara could not impose her will. It's better to be like that.

Besides Clara, the luckiest person is Bella. He looks so charming today because Ethan gives his job leeway. Moreover, Ethan's meeting with Vincent is only done with their respective partners.

"This time you're lucky, Bella," praised Ethan when he was in his room and met the Secretary.

"Thank you, Mister. I think Mrs Olivette is lucky to have a guy like you. Handsome, hardworking, and very attentive to women" Bella joked.

"Yes, just to you I'm considerate, Bella. The rest is on the great women I've been with, like mama and Olivette."

If this is the case, Bella can't protest anymore. He knows that Ethan is a hardworking man and never plays with women's feelings.

During the day, before going to the restaurant, Ethan has to pick Olivette up to the hotel. Not only that, Ethan always gives sweet gifts even if only a rose.

At the hotel, Ethan does not come down. He sent Olivette a message to wait for her in front of the hotel lobby.

Just as Olivette approached his car, Ethan got off to open the door.

"Just sit in the back. This time I'll be your driver" Ethan said.

"Thank you."

Ethan's back in his steering chair. He handed the rose from where he was sitting at the moment.

"Sorry, this is all I can give you."

"Thank you for every red rose you give me. I liked. May it not be just today, but tomorrow and beyond."

"You like it?"

Olivette. Ethan is very romantic and can always make Olivette smile.

"Like it very much."

Such sweet words have made Ethan's heart condition again beat irregularly. Indeed, Olivette managed to hypnotize all the other limbs. The most impactful was his heart rhythm which was beating faster than usual.

Upon reaching the restaurant, Ethan gives Olivette a chance to put her hand around. Honey, Ethan was surprised to get the rejection.

"Sorry, Mr. Ethan. Our relationship hasn't gone that far. I hope you can understand me even further" Olivette said.

Embarrassed? Sure oes. Ethan forgets they're getting engaged in a few days. Ethan then returned his hand as usual. One more hand held the file that Bella had prepared.

They then enter the VVIP room that has been serviced on behalf of Ethan. Apparently Vincent and his wife just got there. Upon seeing Ethan's arrival, the couple stood up to greet his business client.

There was something different from the gaze of Vincent and his wife. Not Ethan, but the woman next to him.

"Darling, it's not Mr. Ethan's wife. I've met Wileen a few times" whispered Grace.

"Yes, Honey. Different people," Vincent replied in a soft voice.

"Sorry, Mr. Vincent. We just arrived. It's not too late, is it?" ask Ethan a little bit of pleasantries.

"No, Mister. You owe me an explanation. Is this your new secretary? Isn't she usually with Miss Bella?" ask Vincent.

"Deliver you to Mrs Olivette. My fiancee!" ethan said confidently.

Vincent and Grace looked. They then conclude that Ethan's marriage to Wileen has failed.

"Grace Mackenzie, Mistress." Grace extended her hand.

Olivette welcomed the hand of the equally classy woman. "Olivette Phoenix."

Vincent is no stranger to that name. Phoenix is a wealthy businessman who always hides his daughter's identity.

"Are you Mr Zion's daughter?" vincent asked as he remembered the middle-aged man.

"Yes. I'm her daughter" Olivette replied in a voice so soft.

Ethan invited them to sit down. Ethan and Vincent had a meeting first. They enjoyed lunch together. Today's deal is so easy because the atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. Especially when Vincent finds out that Ethan is divorced.

"Mrs Olivette, I think we can go shopping together today" Grace said.

Olivette turned to Ethan. Looks like he's asking for approval from his future fiancee.

"Go! You need to have some fun before the engagement takes place" Ethan says.

"Darling, don't you disappoint Mrs Olivette" Vincent said.

"Of course, hon. Come, Madam!"

Before leaving, Grace gave her husband a sweet kiss. It was done in such a good way that it made Ethan glance towards Olivette.

Olivette pretends not to know. Actually, he understands the code Ethan showed him. But he tried to be stupid. It's going to be very hard to do when Olivette can't love Ethan yet.

"You're lucky, Ethan," praised Vincent as the women were gone.

"You mean?"

"I know Mr. Zion well. Olivette is like a hidden jewel. In fact, I didn't know if he was married or not" Vincent said.

"She's the widow of Will Wesly. You must know him."

Vincent did know, but he never had a working relationship with him. He only knows that the place to run the right business is with Ethan, his colleague while at university.

"I know, but I don't have any business relationships. Oh yeah, once again you're so lucky, Ethan. As a normal man, if the woman was as pretty as Olivette, I would be tempted, too" joked Vincent.

"Do I need to record it and then show it to Grace?" reply Ethan.

"Ck, just relax. I'm not gonna be somebody's wife snatch. Moreover, it will be the wife of my best friend. Don't forget to invite us to your engagement. If necessary, invite me when you get married. I will give you a special gift for your happiness" promised Vincent.

Don't mistake. Vincent's gift will be a surprise to anyone who sees it. It was done by him at the time of Ethan's marriage to Wileen a few years ago.
