Is It Really Hypnosis?

In front of me right now a stack of files that are nothing but the daily agenda of the new boss is waiting to be read. So I just ignored it, even if it's true that this is the hypnotism of the new boss. What is clear is that I cannot lose this job just because I am not ready to be appointed as an assistant all of a sudden.

For today's agenda, the new boss has a lot of activities outside the office. While reading the agenda while taking notes in my diary, suddenly the phone on the table rang.

"My room is now..."

"Good sir!"

"Tutt..tuuttt.." the call was turned off and I rushed into the new boss' room after knocking on the door.

The boss was busy calling someone with one of his phones. There are still two handheld phones on the table that are the same model all, elegant and firmly describe his figure.

Even though I wasn't a secretary or an assistant before this company took over. But my job used to be no different from the job of a secretary I'm working on right now.

"Say my schedule this morning!"

"For this morning, exactly at 9 am I will attend a meeting at the head office, which will discuss the share distribution of the company and after..."

"You're coming with me"

"All right"!"

It feels like I'm really hypnotized, or is it because I have a nature that can't ignore work? I don't know if I don't want to get fired. I still have a family in the village that I have to bear even though my father does not want me to work for the family.

But as the oldest child I feel I have a responsibility for the needs of my family in the village. At least I can't let my family starve because of the family's unstable financial problems.

Dad's small business as a shoe-sitter I don't think will be enough to finance my family's needs. And I can't expect my sisters to work helping fathers make a living and neglecting their education.

"Secretary Yu..."

"Is there anything I can help you with, sir?"

"Good sir!"

Actually I want to go alone by following the boss pack car by taxi, because my thinking says if this new boss does not like to share the car with new people. But who would have thought if he was the one who asked me to get into his car when I wanted to take a new taxi to drop an employee in front of the building.

In the car, the boss was busy checking some files on the iPad seriously. Like not wanting to be disturbed at all. Actually, I really wanted to ask why he even appointed me suddenly as an assistant.

Maybe not only I want to ask that question, but all employees of the company. Because ever since me and the boss just came out of the elevator door on the first floor, everyone was looking at the boss with questionable but disinclined gazes.

Strange as well, because I work in this company only 17 months 20 days 13 hours 30 seconds when appointed as an assistant. still spelled out as an onion compared to the seniors who have more experience and long worked in this company.

Arriving at the headquarters which turned out to be the largest office in the city, it deserves that the company was moved into a private company not a state company anymore. Maybe the government mortgaged the company I worked for, or the new boss acquired the BMKG company I worked for.

My face does look flat and it could be when I step into the most luxurious company in the entire city. But honestly my heart thrashed with excitement at finally being able to pay a visit to the company of my dreams. Not only am I dreaming about this, maybe all the employees in the whole city also want to visit this company.

While waiting for the elevator to open some company officials, it seemed, headed towards the elevator we were waiting for. I saw the disdain for the higher-ups while staring at the boss sir.

The elevator opens and everyone waiting for the elevator goes inside, but I know that it looks like the boss won't like being in an elevator with people who clearly underestimate him.

"Sorry sir, your shoelaces are loose"

I immediately squat pretending to tie the shoelaces of the boss pack that actually does not come off. I deliberately slowed down the time to have the elevator door closed again which was the same as the elevator door opened next door.

"It's over, please sir!"

"It looks like you're deliberately stalling for time" turns out to be caught

"Where may I dare, it may just be a coincidence sir!" I try to answer as logically as possible

I saw the boss smiling faintly as he stepped into the empty elevator followed by me who immediately stood behind him after pressing the destination floor.
