Half the Fallen Angels

Half the Fallen Angels
Episode 12: Fallen Angel, The True Devan Himself?

Devan and the man are in an office building. Some people were sitting on sofas.

"Before they were on the floor. Then I moved it" the man told Devan.

Devan watched, though he did not respond.

After a while, Devan and the man entered the door. Behind it is a fairly large room, there is a large elongated table with several chairs on its sides.

"This is the meeting room" said the man as he walked towards the large curtain on the side of the room. He also pulled the rope from the edge of the curtain, immediately opened the curtain and looked behind it a large glass wall.

"It should have been a bright night" said the man, who was staring at the city from a height.

"Means Avalon City is a city with a bright night" Devan said.

"Not since you came."

"Yes. I know."

The man was standing leaning against the corner of the room right by the side of the big window. While Devan leaned against the edge of the table facing towards the big window.

"You're called Devan, right?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Last name?."

Devan thought for a moment, looking at the bracelet he was wearing.

"Male. Devan Aria" Devan answered.

"Hm. Apparently not" said the man talking to himself in a small voice.

"What?, sorry I didn't hear."

"Oh. It'sit's nothing. I'm just talking to myself. I'm Aslan Era, just call me Aslan."

"Aslan, hm.", Devan nodded.

"How do you know that you are Devan Aria?. While you don't remember anything."

"Where do you know I've lost my memory, when I haven't told you?" Devan said, seeing Aslan in wonder.

"That's because I've experienced it."

"Oh so. Also true. Actually I have remembered a little from my past, therefore I know my name is Devan Aria."

"Oh so because of that. What kind of memory is that returning?."

"A little bit like me, playing in a village."

"As a human???", asked Aslan. It had an unhappy expression on his face.

"As a human being?, of course.", Devan replied, he was confused by Aslan's reaction.

The middle-aged man woke up from leaning against him, looking out the window. He walked three steps towards Devan, and rolled his long arms up to his elbows on the black suit he was wearing, then folded his hands in front of his chest.

"Tell me, how does the story of the human memory appear?".", Aslan said as he looked at Devan seriously.

("human remembrance?".", Devan is innate, feeling odd from the word.)

Devan looked up at the ceiling, closing his eyes. He tried to remember.

"I was talking to a girl. And in the middle of the conversation, my head suddenly felt a lot of pain. I remember a little bit of my past."

"You talk to a girl?. Who?.", Aslan was curious.

"She's the fairy girl I accidentally met. Though we just got to know, but the fairy girl helped a lot. He made me meet his fairy grandfather, then the fairy grandfather told me to come here to meet you", Devan replied, unconsciously revealing a slight smile on his lips.

Aslan looked unexpected and was stunned to hear Devan's reply. He grabbed a chair and sat down to look.

"Could it be.", Aslan had a small voice. "The fairy girl, what's her name?", asked Aslan.

"Name Luna."

Aslan sat down. He hid his facial expression from Devan. His eyes turned sharp with a wrinkle between his eyes, like anger or hate being held back.

("Thank God Luna. You are still safe apparently.", Aslan bathin.)

Shortly after, Aslan recalled his previous fight against Devan.

(.....Devan shifted his head, dodged the man's fist, then jumped backwards.

The man was surprised, his eyes wide open. He did not expect Devan to avoid his fist.

The man also moved back. Laying a fist, throwing a kick several times to Devan. But Devan easily avoided it.).

"That fairy girl, did she give you anything?"

"Something.oh yes. He gave me a small pouch" said Devan, taking the object out and holding it. "This bag contains colored sand, not just sand, it can cast magic" Devan continued.

"Can I see?."

Devan handed me the little bag. Aslan accepted it, he looked at the small pouch carefully.

"And this is the colored sand that came from that small pouch, it was scattered when we fought, I picked it back.", devan said while grasping a little sand color that he rogoh from his jacket pocket.

The two of them were amazed when Devan opened his fingers. There was a magic aura that spread like the wind seen during the fight earlier.

("Simply, now it makes sense.", Aslan said.)

"The last time I saw it, Luna used it to bring up the flow of the overpass that led us to the land of the Clouds."

"You mean?", asked Aslan in surprise.

"At that time, Luna threw her sand into the air, then formed a river path that the water can flow upwards.", added Devan, his head looked up considering the incident.

"You're sure what you saw?", asked Aslan hesitantly.

"of course. He did it in front of me."

Aslan was silent for a moment. He digested every word Devan said, watching him closely.

("It's impossible for one fairy to have two kinds of magic. Is this the man who lied?, or was he lied to?, or perhaps, I guessed wrong?.", Aslan was full of worry in his heart.)

Devan looked at the silent Aslan and realized his concern.

"May I take the bag again?" said Devan. Aslan then returned the small pouch to Devan's hands. "Luna gave me this because she asked me to return to her country later, so this is a tool for me to return through the overpass. It doesn't matter if you don't believe me, I understand. At first I couldn't believe what I was going through. Fairy, magic, cloud country, it's like fairy tales."

Hearing that, Aslan spoke up after a moment of silence.

"I believe in that. Even for me, it was a normal thing. Fairy, magic, or land on the clouds, for you who are now just like a story made up. But for the rest of you, it is a natural thing, not even limited to just those three things."

Aslan stood up from his seat. He walked over and stopped right in front of the glass wall to turn his back on Devan. He looked up at the night sky, and his hand went into his pants pocket.

"At the top there, there's one place outside of Earth, named Delbora. The place where the fallen angels colonized."

"Angel's down?."

"They are sinful beings who reject the statutes of God, so that their degrees are lowered."

"Then?."

Aslan turned around and looked at Devan.

"However, for whatever reason, there are a few souls of fallen angels who die that target the earth and get into the human body. As a result.", Aslan stopped his sentence.

Devan waited for the sentence, but Aslan remained silent.

"What effect?".", asked Devan curiously.

"As a result the memory of both human and fallen angels is disturbed, and seems to be a new person."

Devan's heartbeat skipped a beat after hearing that.

"Do you want to say that it has something to do with my problem?".", asked Devan, he tried to calm down.

"The problem is that you don't remember who you were in the past."

Devan was silent and could not reply to that word. He was just waiting for Aslan to continue speaking.

"Not wrong anymore. The reason the fairy grandfather suggested that you meet me, is that I give you an answer to the problem you are facing. Because I have also experienced this problem. Ignorance of our true selves", Aslan spoke with a displeased countenance.

"Our true selves" Devan thought of those words.

"It is clearly visible in our physical. We have thick black hair, have great fighting ability, very fast body regeneration. That's not a trait that a human has."

Devan was a little familiar with the sentence, he also recalled the words of Grandpa Luna a few days ago.

(....."You are right . You are a human being. But, you have a deep black hair color. Human hair has never been so dark. Humans also can not be okay after receiving one blow Reyn to slam far away. Humans also do not have the physical strength that makes Reyn fly away because of his fist. Man cannot heal himself so quickly, and man cannot see us, the nation of the fairies.".

"So, the real me is a fallen angel?."

"It should be so."

Devan scrunched his forehead.

"Why 'Should it be', why not 'Yes' or 'Right'?."

"That is because you are now more inclined as a human being."

"Even now I still consider myself a human being."

"That is because you are close to the fairies. You better stay away from the fairies, they'll keep us away from our true selves."

"What do you mean?. I am the one now because of the choices I made. It has nothing to do with fairies."

"I'm sure. Even the fairies keep their distance from you. It's because our aura with them is opposite."

Devan jolted his memory hearing Aslan's statement. Yuna said in the past.

(".....It's just, there are some that are different from you. Do you remember?, said our grandfather. From the beginning I saw you, I felt like I had to be wary of you even away from you, until now."..).

Devan also recalled the attitude of some fairies to him when he came to the land. In Devan's mind, he confirmed Aslan's words.

"Not all fairies. Luna is a fairy who is actually friendly to me, even she helps me, therefore, I can meet you now here.", Devan tried to deny

Now it was Aslan's turn to be distracted by Devan's words. He showed an unhappy face. Aslan turned back, looking at the dark view of Avalon City.

"It's just my feeling, or I think you really don't like fairies. More precisely you do not like this fairy named Luna. Have you ever met Luna before?", said Devan suspiciously.

Aslan tried to calm down, not allowing himself to let out a spontaneous reaction.

"I don't like Luna. I don't like all fairies. Luna is a fairy. And he is the greatest reason you have become inclined as a man."

"alright. I don't think you've ever met Luna either. He said that he first came down to earth at that time", said Devan, he remembered the words of Luna last time.

(".....You know, this is the first time I've come down to earth. I assigned my grandfather to do something."...).

"The first time you said it?".", said Aslan. his tone slightly raised.

Devan reacted somewhat with Aslan's words. Aslan also realized seeing Devan's small reaction.

"I mean, so the first time Luna came down to earth at that time?".", said Aslan immediately fix the sentence.

"Yes, at that time he got a certain task from his grandfather", said Devan, he felt there was a peculiarity to Aslan.

Aslan returned pensive in his mind, but before long, he prevented Devan from thinking more and more about him.

"The bottom line is, I suggest you never see that elf named Luna again. That way you are one step toward your true self", Aslan asserted, turning to face Devan.

"I'm sorry Aslan, you did give me the answer I needed, but for that one, I couldn't."

"My answer is free, if you don't do that one. Believe me, the latter, is the key to the real answer to your problem."

"I owe him. Even he got into trouble for helping me."

"It is precisely because you are Luna in trouble."

"I know that."

"No Devan. You don't understand."

"I just got it, Aslan. That's why I won't stay away from the fairies, especially Luna. I'll go back to see him as he asks, even if it's the last one. I refuse to be a fallen angel who only makes me hate a nation."

"You." said Aslan in a small voice while Devan was still speaking. Suddenly his lips slightly grinned.

"I don't intend to remember the past as a fallen angel, I hope I continue to forget it, even choosing not to believe, that I once lived as a fallen angel, even if it was true, if it was true, I'll try to deny it" Devan said emotionally.

Suddenly.....

"Aaaakhhh!!!", Devan felt his head in excruciating pain. He was also kneeling while holding his head in pain.

Aslan Era smiled grinning broadly at Devan.

Devan sat on his knees, his left hand held his body in front of him so as not to fall down, his right hand held his head.

Devan faced down, he opened his slightly reddened eyes, from the side of his head looked out the veins, even he was stretched out and dripped onto the floor.

"Hahahaha", as soon as a wide black wing emerged from Aslan's back, it raised its chest as well as its head, as if celebrating Devan whimpering in pain beneath it.
