Hannoic War
Danger and God (part 33)

"Men will fight harder for something they want than for something that is rightfully theirs"

Napoleon Bonaparte

Danger and God

Kneel Filda's father in front of a tree while carrying a dead boar in his hand.

The dead wild boar is then placed in front of a tree in a hole in the ground that fits only for the wild boar.

The tree that Father Filda knelt before her had an engraving in the shape of a wave of wind and the language of the old Anglo people.

The language is almost extinct and few people know the language.

Filda's own father had learned it from his grandfather but only a few words he learned, because the old Anglo letters were complicated and the words he learned were only for ritual.

Hanno herself was standing behind him with her calm face.

Filda's father then spoke a language that Hanno might not understand, the language sounded very strange and sometimes like the sound of a moving tree.

(O Earth and the goddess of nature who gave birth to this world from her womb please bless me with the power of nature), Father Filda said in Old Anglo.

Suddenly there came a wind that shook the trees around them that made Father Filda feel chill in her hands and neck.

(Give me the strength to kill my enemies.Give me the strength to look up at the sky.Give me the strength to withstand the attacks of my enemies' spears and weapons).

(Give me the strength to resist your winds and anger, give me the strength to crush doubt in your service, O oldest and most powerful), Father Filda said.

(Give me the strength to use my hands at my old age.Give me strength to Uh! Damnit damnit! I forgot how to say 'family' in the old Anglo language!" said Father Filda angry at forgetting something.

"Forget over! Please God of nature give my family strength!" said Father Filda.

Then Filda's father turned to Hanno and then returned to the ritual tree in front of him.

(Hahh..give strength for my feet to move in my old age, give strength to nature so that my income increases.and o the former and oldest goddess of nature give me the power of nature in my blood..) , said Filda's father while taking the knife placed beside her.

*Sret*

Then Filda's father took a knife and slashed her hand until blood came out of her hand.

Blood from Filda's father's hand was then dripped on the corpse of the boar.

Then Filda's father threw drops of blood from his hands at the tree.

"Hanno" said Filda's father, calling Hanno behind her.

Hanno was seen carrying an iron shovel and then he stepped near the hole containing the corpse of the boar.

Hanno then buried the corpse of the pig with earth and leveled the ground with his hands directly.

Because Filda's father forbade Hanno to insult the sacrifice for the old god by stepping on it. It is said that whoever does it will get a lifetime of misfortune.

"Well let's go home and please bring the old wood" Filda's father said.

Hanno then took the wood with some boar bones on it.

It was a boar bone that had been sacrificed in front of a tree a few years ago.

Filda's own father did this once every 4 years since childhood with his grandfather. More precisely, his family has been doing this for more than thousands of years.

Filda's father performed this ritual once every 4 years.

"Hanno is done let's go home to eat the beef I bought in Ballerius town yesterday" Filda's father said

"Can you teach me old Anglo?" Hanno asked suddenly.

"Hm?" said Father Filda in surprise.

"Old Anglo, can you teach me old Anglo" Hanno said.

"It is rare for young people to want to know the old Anglo language...Why do you want to learn it?" said Filda's father approaching Hanno.

Hanno just fell silent not to reply and just looked at Father Filda.

"Yes I'm going to teach you, but you won't be able to learn much from me because I don't know much about the old Anglo language either. I can only teach you some while some you have to teach yourself" Filda's father turned away from Hanno and they both walked towards the house.

The forest near Father Filda's house is quite dense and has many animals that live in it.

The sound of birds singing was heard.

The wind blew the leaves of the trees.

Bushes and grass are everywhere, sometimes there is a rock road here but unfortunately the road has been damaged or buried among the bushes and moss.

Most of the dirt roads and trees that Father Filda memorized were shaped as early as childhood. Filda's father's grandmother even named some trees here.

Then after passing through the trees and bushes, a simple wooden house was seen from afar, with 3 women talking there.

"I thought Filda would only invite Yiara but it turned out that the daughter of the Damn Village Chief came as well" said Father Filda from afar while removing some bushes from her feet.

Beside Filda was Yiara who was swinging her legs like a child.

Filda asked her father to forgive Yiara last night while eating together. There was a fight between father and son. Her father eventually allowed Yiara to come despite promising to cut off Yiara's middle finger if she dared to steal her meat again.

"Oh that's the father he's home" said Filda from afar looking at him.

There was another woman besides Yiara standing beside Filda, her hair was black and her face was arguably quite beautiful even though her face was covered in dust.

"Father Guslau..hehe.." said Yiara with a frightened smile waving his hand to Father Filda.

"Sir Guslau.." said the woman standing beside Filda.

"Vera..Why did you come here? I thought only Yiara wanted to play here." - Filda's father said as he walked closer.

"No I'm not here to play with Filda.

"Huh? You think I'm wasting silver money and meat? No, Vera, I was fighting for silver. Tell your father to go somewhere else if you want to borrow money" said Uncle as he walked past the three of them to get into his house.

"Paid forces are asking for more money, if we don't give them money and food then they won't give us protection to protect the village sir" Vera said in a slightly high tone.

Filda's father still seemed not to listen to Vera's words and took off his shoes in a basket of salt water.

Then Vera approached Filda's father.

"If this village has no protection, the plundering forces from Dalmatia will come again. Those mercenaries may be a bunch of jerks but they protected us from last year's looters. While the troops of Garius and Ohara are returning to the city of Bellarius" Vera said.

"That's right Dad, we need to give them money otherwise we can't fight the looters with just the old man and the farmer without armour and without full armament. We need those mercenaries well" said Filda.

Filda's father then took to clean his hands with water from the wooden basket and still did not listen to them both.

Filda's father then walked deeper into her house.

"Sir! Please! Do you want this village burned and Filda touched by the raiding forces of Dalmatia again!?" said Vera in a higher tone.

"No! 800 coins! I wish it could pay those damn mercenaries!" said Father Filda angrily as he threw a bag of silver coins at Vera's feet.

Filda's father then went into her house.

"I'm gonna piss! Don't bother you all!" said Father Filda.

Vera then took out a bag of coins she was on.

"Thank God." said Vera, who opened the bag and hundreds of pieces of silver were laid out there.

"If this war ends, we will not have to pay the mercenaries anymore." said Filda with a brooding face.

"Yes, did you hear Filda? Heroes have come from another world! He said they would bring peace and unite people against the demon king!" Yiara said cheerfully.

"I hope the hero is genuine, the world is now full of fraudsters and fake people" Vera said.

"Yes, I hope the hero brings peace" said Filda.

Hanno just sat there and cleaned his hands and feet from the mud.

"Ehmm...mm.you're Hanno right?" said Yiara trying to approach Hanno.

"mm? Yes I'm Hanno" Hanno said looking at Yiara.

"I heard from Filda! Said you were smart huh?" Yiara said cheerfully.

"Yearah! Don't tell me that I.." Filda blushed her face.

"Emmmm..5.261 x 3.248!?" said Yiara.

"17,087,728" Hanno said quickly.

"ah! Aye! You're so smart! Though it was my Uncle's mainstay question!" said Yiara with his shining eyes.

"You.smart at counting?" said Vera, drawing closer to Hanno.

"Yes can be said" said Hanno looking towards Vera.

"The village chief has my father need someone to count? Take it easy we will pay you dearly." - Vera.

"No, I don't want to" Hanno said.

"Ehh..why?" said Vera.

"No way.." said Hanno as he looked towards the target tree where he trained archery.

"Hanno! How many stars in the sky!? Aren't you a smart man?" Yiara said.

"Yiara don't ask Hanno any strange questions!" said Filda

"If that's what I don't know" Hanno said.

"Aissshhh said you were a smart man." said Yiara, who pouted like a child.

"No, I never said I was smart" Hanno said.

"When I was curious." Yiara said sulking like a child.

"By the way.emmhhhh.thank you Filda will say thank you to your father" said Vera.

"Yes, may the money be useful" said Filda.

"I'll tell the villagers that I got 800 of these coins from your father!" Vera said as she walked away.

It was seen Vera walking away towards the village away from the house of Filda.

"Hanno!" Yiara asked excitedly.

"Hm?" ' said Hanno.

"Can I turn into a butterfly like the witch Asmer!" Yiara said excitedly.

Walking Vesius in the Bronze Sword Palace. Its orange walls are derived from red stones taken from Tyronia. Several swords were seen hanging on these walls.

Last night's party tired him so much that it made him sleep too well and wake up more during the day than usual.

*Parties are sometimes more tiring than planning a fined strategy.*, thought Vesius as he continued to walk through the castle.

Then there was a little girl in a cute dress about 5 years old walking with a young woman beside her.

"Uncle of Vesius!" said the little girl as she ran with her cute feet towards Vesius.

Running he was excited and quickly made Vesius smile while kneeling to equalize his height with the little girl.

"Uncle of Vesius!" said the little girl approaching then held on her waist by Vesius.

Vesius then lifted her up and laughed cheerfully at the little girl.

"Alane! You're gonna fly like the witch Anmer! Dadada!" said Vesius in a childish tone while holding the little girl.

"fly! Fly!" said the little girl called Alani while giggling cutely.

"Alane! Fly him!" said Vesius with a big voice.

"Fly yeeee!" said Alani with glee.

"Alanniiii..."

Then Vesius lowered him to the floor and Alani continued to laugh giggling as he went down.

"Uncle Vesius how are you?" said Alani sweetly as he descended.

"Good Alani, even uncle has started bathing with red wine as Alani suggested~" , said Vesius in a childish tone.

Alani laughed gigglingly at hearing it.

*Hm, uncle.* ,in Vesius with a smile.

Alani was the nephew of Vesius. He was the son of Bulla Garius, an older sister whom Vesius both admired and hated.

Bulla often insulted herself as a pig or slacker when Vesius was a child.

But Vesius admires the knowledge of his brother, and Vesius has even dreamed of being as smart as his older brother Bulla.

Alani was a child who was half Garius and half Betharrus. Someone who also has the blood of the Victa king in him.

But the blood from the female line is never as clean and as good as the blood from the male line.

Then a woman stepped towards Vesius who was playing with Alina.

He bowed gracefully before Vesius.

"Master Vesius" said the woman in her soft voice.

"Hm? Ah, you.you are Mallisa.it turns out you have grown up.." said Vesius who then stood up a little firmly and turned his eyes towards the woman called Mallisa.

"Yes my lord, how many years have we not met" Mallisa said, looking down.

*Mallisa..ohh for the sake of the god of war.he was once just a child curious about books and legends and history...he grew up this big? Time goes faster than I thought*, thought Vesius in his heart

Mallisa is the son of her aunt Vesius and the son of Tairar Ohara who was killed 1 month ago.

Mallisa used to live in Fyrr Castle with Vesius and they both often read books in the library of the Vesius family until night.

But Mallisa didn't stay in Fyrr Castle for long and returned to Gelaria Castle. Vesius still remembered how small Mallisa was back then.

"I. I feel sad and want to apologize for your father's death, miss, I was there but I couldn't prevent it.." Vesius lowered his head.

"It's okay my lord.you don't need to feel guilty" Mallisa said smiling sadly.

Then Vesius smiled and turned his gaze in another direction.

"Oi Runarr! Right here! Look at you!" said Vesius, calling a boy back.

The little boy called Runarr then approached, looking as if he was just smiling innocently.

"Let me see your muscles" Vesius said.

Then Runarr opened up part of his arm clothes and exposed his small muscles while swinging his hand.

"Look at you.you will be a warrior who will grow up like a giant but more handsome" Vesius said in a soft tone while holding Runarr's shoulder.

"While you are Alina, you will be a great, strong, and beautiful lady who will make all women envy you" Vesius turned his gaze to Alina.

Runarr and Alina chuckled and giggled at it, while Vesius smiled.

"Uncle will go first yes.ada ama uncle's business in the room kounsil.." , said Vesius while holding both the heads of Runarr and Alina and stroked her gently.

"Yaahhh.padah Alina wants to play with Uncle longer.." said Alina with a sulking tone.

"Alina.don't disturb uncle first.." said Mallisa.

"But uncle brought something for Alina" Vesius said, taking something from his clothes.

A stuffed owl with a trumpet in front of it is seen in the hands of Vesius.

"Wahhhh! The owl! Like the family sigil of mother and uncle!" Alina happily said while holding the doll.

Vesius smiled then turned his head towards Runarr.

"And this is for Runarr." ' said Vesius then took a wooden sword with a magic pattern from the holy island of Cyronia.

"Wahhh...this can cast magic?" Runarr said.

"Can if Runarr tries, one day Runarr will fly and spew fire from Runarr's hand to burn the Orcs" Vesius said.

*A innocent child he does not know what a lie is and does not.I feel a little guilty.*, thought Vesius.

"Thank you uncle." said Runarr innocently as he picked up the sword.

"So Mallisa, Alina, and Runarr.ehh uncle want to go first yes" said Vesius.

"Yes uncle!" said Runarr with enthusiasm.

"Uncle! Thank you!" said Alina waving her cute hand.

While Mallisa just lowered her head gracefully like a miss.

* 'Danger is coming' * , thought Vesius while remembering what Pruasarr said last night.

*If danger comes.I hope not to come little children and innocent women like them*, thought Vesius.

"Oi Glent" said Hasteinn, walking towards the party.

"Ohh hai Hasteinn" Glent said.

Glent stood up as he watched the waiter prepare the party and the food and drinks.

"What are you doing?" asked Hasteinn.

"No I'm waiting for a party to come" Glent said.

"You're not sleeping?" said Hasteinn.

"Later my father will call me if there is something he needs" Glent said.

"Ah, you're right. Later if there's nothing you can't help your father" said Hasteinn, then stood next to him, "what did your father do?"

"Making rings and some tools for a party, there was a singer who asked for an iron trumpet" Glent said.

It was seen some noble ladies talking and gossiping. While the waiter paced back and forth to pick things up to prepare.

"It's a party." ' said Hasteinn.

"The harvest party is more precise" Glent said.

Some of the kids play here and some of the guys laugh and talk.

The castle was filled with hundreds of laughing and busy people.

"Your father?" said Glent.

"Hm? My papa? He was busy apparently" Hasteinn said.

"Yes too, there will also be the Lord and Duke of this castle" Glent smiled.

Then Glent walked up to grab a glass of wine left on the table and drank it.

"Have you heard? Gossip from noble women" Glent said.

"What's? Don't gossip weird anymore" said Hasteinn.

"It's about you, it seems that you are known as a noble who sometimes disappears in his castle, I even heard that you were said to have climbed the castle tower and gone to the deepest place in this castle" ,glent said after drinking a glass of his wine.

"Isn't that true? We both went to the deepest place in the castle and climbed up the tower" Hasteinn said.

"Gossip and rumor grow like Hasteinn's weed, soon we'll hear people talk that you've been*x with the ghost of the tower" said Glent, who then drank the glass of wine.

"I want to go to sleep, I don't want to think about all that" Hasteinn said.

Hasteinn then walked away from Glent. His head was already filled with confusion about his sister and the party, Hasteinn was unwilling to add to it with any strange gossip.

"I felt something Hasteinn, a danger coming" Glent said.

Glent's words made Hasteinn stop walking and Hasteinn then turned his head to Glent.

"I am the same" Hasteinn said with a serious look.

"Prepare the sword, we don't know what it is. But a sword can bring even a little security" Glent said as he returned to drinking wine.

"Oi Glent! Don't sit down and drink the guest's wine in there! Help me get the iron box!" said Glent's father, carrying a hammer in his right hand.

"Yes-yes" said Glent while putting a glass full of wine on the table.

Then Glent's father turned to Hasteinn.

"Young master" Glent said as he lowered his head to Hasteinn.

Hasteinn simply waved his hand lowly and smiled.

"Oi fucking kid! Bowing you down in front of the young master!" said Father Glent walking while pushing Glent's back down.

"Eakh" , muttered Glent while looking bitterly smiling and looking down.

Hasteinn then went and stayed away from them.

Slowly Glent's father raised his shoulders.

"Basic son of a bitch! I know you're good friends with him! But don't be rude in the eyes of the servants and other nobles here!" Glent's father said.

Glent could then feel the gazes from hundreds of eyes all over him.

"Have a hand to help me get that iron box" Glent's father said, staring intently at his son's face.
