Hannoic War

Hannoic War
Memories and the Devil (Part 28)

"God has made sure to man that there is no faster way to win by at least dying once"

hannibal Barca from Livy

Memories and Demons

"Dark as always.." - Vesius said as he stepped into this dark room, "just like death.."

In fact, this room is also not far from death..

Just stepping in this room for a while with a torch in hand, Vesius could see a white coffin carved into the face of an Owl above him.

"You don't move him anywhere, do you?" asked Vesius to Harrian, placing his hands on the chest.

The sound of Vesius was so cold and sharp that it made Harrian look nervous.

"T-no my master" said Harrian.

"Good." - Vesius uttered a soft voice but still had a sharp tone in it.

Staring at this old Vesius..

"I loved her Harrian. The thing that was more painful after the Tyronian War was when I heard her death.." , Vesius said in a cold tone even though the content of his words was warm, "my heart felt numb after the Tyronia War.His death brought back the pain in my heart"

Vesius remembers his smile being pushed around and in every room of this castle..

Every time Vesius remembered him he couldn't endure the pain, the desire to cry..

But he can't forget it...The castle brings all his memories…

*Is that why I want to protect this castle? Protecting memories with him.* , thought Vesius.

"I remember playing with him in the castle's hallway, probably the most fun running game I played" Vesius said.

*or the only running game I played when I was a kid, most of the childhood games I played were 'hit and insulted continuously' * ', thought Vesius.

"When all the brothers, people, even my father and mother insulted me, he was the only one who wanted to play and talk to me, he was the only one who wanted to read books with me" ,vesius said as he continued to feel the coldness of this coffin.

*It should be warm again.but it is cold.the stone chest is cold.if I open even the coldest skull.*, think Vesius.

"The way he laughs at me is never the same as the laughter of others." - Vesius.

*Laughter.* , thought Vesius while imagining all his smiles.

"He's gone my master." said Harrian.

"Yes.and here we stand...Garius who is said to be the weakest standing among the bodies of other Garius.God does have a strange sense of humor" said Vesius while gritting his teeth.

When Vesius saw the castle's training ground…

He remembered himself as a child..

'Stand up! Cowardly!'

He remembered the fat boy who stood holding a wooden sword in his hand with a tremble..

And his great brother who held a wooden sword in his hand.

'Haha! He's crying!'

The fat boy cried and then fell down..

Without a single touch of wood touching him..

He remembered how half of Garius in the castle laughed and the other half looked at the fat boy in disgust.

No knight and servant dared to laugh and could only be speechless, afraid that his tongue would be cut off by Toran Garius.

'Nobody should laugh at Garius except for Garius himself' 'Vesius could even feel his father saying that in front of him right now.

Only one man ran off by lifting his skirt.

Vesius even wanted to hit the wall remembering it..

'No Garius can be protected by a woman' 'his father's words can be felt once again.

'Stopit! Vesius could not fight!' said the girl in a powerful voice that Vesius remembered.

'Garius the man must be able to fight, no one from Garius, Reliz' ' said his uncle in a cold voice almost as cold as his father's.

'Garius has produced soldiers, generals, strong men like iron for hundreds of years. It would make all great-grandfather Garius rise from the grave if the resulting generation is only a bookish fat boy who cannot even stand before a wooden sword, ' ' said one of his father's subordinates.

Vesius remembers trying to raise his head…

Hundreds of views he could see.jijik, wanted to laugh, insult.all made Vesius feel unwilling to raise his head forever..

And the last and the most above all…

His father's gaze was as sharp and as strong as that of an Owl..

'Didn't 'Garius protect Garius' isn't that father?' 'Reliz said as he looked at his uncle.

'You are Vesius' cousin, Reliz. But this is not a woman' ' said his uncle Vesius.

'Hit me if you want daddy' ' said Reliz with a strong look that Vesius liked.

Vesius wished he could do such a stern look one day in front of Reliz to protect her..

'He was weakest than Garius, he had to be trained' ' said his Uncle Vesius in a voice as strong as iron.

'She is the most intelligent and knowledgeable among Garius' , said Reliz boldly. For Vesius it is true courage, 'He can tell you all about almost everything that happened from the Conquest of Cassandra the Great to the Fall of the last King Victa'

Some of the Garius immediately laughed.

'Does telling him all that would make him a general and a man as strong as iron as the one from Garius? It would only make him a library keeper, a healer, a singer, a bookmaker, or just a servant who helps teach in a noble castle', ' said his uncle.

'No, but knowing the Conquest of Cassandra the Great until the Fall of the last King Victa would make her a better leader than hitting people with iron and wood' ' Reliz said.

'The leader? A leader who can't even stand up to a certain amount of wood? The Senate even all Victa's people won't want to be led by such a man' ' said his uncle in a cold voice.

'And when the leader leads millions who will not be led by him.then no matter how many hundreds of times good the leader, he will continue to destroy his own country' ,said his father down the stairs with dozens of bodyguards behind him.

Reliz can only click the tongue, then help wake up Vesius.

'Let's go, Vesius, nobody wants us here' ' said Reliz, holding Vesius' hand and taking him off the training ground.

Vesius remembered how when he looked back, hundreds laughed, hundreds put on a face of disdain, hundreds put on a face strong and cold.

If only Vesius had known that almost everyone in the field of training would have died…

"And now here we stand.." said Vesius in a voice loud enough to echo in this room.

"My master?" said Harrian in confusion.

"Hm, no" said Vesius with a smile, "open the door, there's a soldier behind it"

"B-good master" said Harrian as he walked towards the door quickly and opened it.

The sound of the door opening sounded.

The soldier looked nervous.

Vesius then walked towards him while dragging his hand from the base of the Reliz coffin to the end.

"What's wrong?" ' asked Vesius.

"Parit is ready half my master, Boggar wants you to help see the process" Vesius said.

"The boy.." - Vesius said with a laugh, "he doesn't want me to sit here quietly, apparently, what about all 15 defensive towers?"

It is seen that Reliz holds Vesius' hand and then smiles at him..

'Let's protect our memories with Yuk Vesius!'

"All 15 of them are ready with my lord's army, the Watchtower is already filled with 200 new recruits" the soldier said.

*Good.*, think Vesius while taking a step closer.

And then out of that dark room…

Reliz was again seen smiling at Vesius, with the light of the sun penetrating his body..

'Spirit yes! Vesius!'

Between the rain...

Get Glent off his horse in the woods.

With his light iron armour and sword on his waist.

Her chest was a black dog with a dark blue background.

There was no army behind and beside him, only a subordinate he could trust.

"My master is dangerous, the mercenaries are unbelievable" said Hilar.

"You're right Halar, those mercenaries are unbelievable but they're dangerous, but we now need something dangerous to take Fyrr Castle" Glent said as he stretched his finger.

Glent has been stalking his own Fyrr Castle.

And Glent is a fool if not frightened by 16 towers and walls that thick and gigantic in size..

14,000 troops won't be that easy to break through.

With a strong entrance hall with 2 stone high towers beside it.

He needs more troops..

Glent walked into this forest, after many of Glent's trees and leaves passed.

Then it sounded in Glent's ear the sound of fire burning wood between the drizzle of rain.

Then we saw 5 men sitting around the campfire that was almost going to be extinguished because of the drizzling water.

The 5 people all wore armour with the same chest emblem.

Scorpion emblem with a sand-colored background.

"You Glent? The son of the blacksmith who was raised as a noble?" asked one of the men in the middle of the 5 people.

"Your hair is longer and your skin is paler than I thought" said one man standing with his right hand missing.

"I'm sure the trunk under my pants will be longer and my seeds will be paler than you think" Glent said with a smile.

"Hahahahahahaha!"

Laughing all four except for the man who lost his right hand.

It was seen that the person who lost his right hand was seen frowning and grinding his teeth.

"Lemp sat down, I like this guy. He didn't speak as stiffly as the old men in the luxurious camp" the man in the middle stood up.

The man's body in the middle is quite large with an ax in his left hand that is black.

"Heh, you mean the 2 great ants that were crushed to death I kept putting into the letter? Mr Jeog 'The Crow Hand'?" Glent said with a laugh.

"You...boy ng*ntot. You know I turned out? Whoareyou? Why do you know my password to Rirrerk?" said Mr. Jeog with a big smile.

"I saw you during the Aquantania Rebellion" Glent said with a smile, "and I once slipped your tent to look at your table"

"It turns out that right after the Aquantania Rebellion I fed 2 of my bodyguards to dogs, they were more useless than I thought" said the Crow Hand with a face that wanted to laugh.

"How do you know the cipher for Mr. Jeog's negotiation with his rival Mr. Rirrerk?" asked one of the men.

"I once served him and entered the mercenary group of Mr. Rirrerk as well as the lords" Glent said with a wider smile formed on his face.

"Hahaahhaa! Turns out you were one of the 80 soldiers who transferred our mercenaries to us during the Aquantanian Rebels! What a small world! Hihihihahaha!" , said Lemp lost with giggles.

"No.." said Glent as he drew closer to Mr. Jeog, "This world is not small, it is I who pursue you from the other end of the world..I've been targeting you since I heard you serve Vespasian now"

"Hahahahahahhaha!"

Laughing Right Hand Crow.

"It was only the first time, son.I got a young man who dared to approach me.If I saw you at that time maybe I had put you as one of the commanders of my army" ,said Mr. Jeog while holding Glent's shoulder firmly.

Glent could feel the firmness of his grip.

"But dear.we are enemies now.I serve the Victa..now you serve Geralda.and the two are killing each other now.." ,mister Jeog said with a demonic smile and a voice that was as demonic as his smile.

But Glent replied with an honest smile..

"Hihihihihihahahhahaha!" ,laughs Glent.

Halar Sibawahan Glent who dariitadi beside Glent can only swallow saliva and fear until the recurrence.

"Not if you switch sides with me" Glent said as he looked at Mr. Jeog.

"Heh, if you have more silver than Vespasian give it is possible" Lemp said with a smile, "but you and your bodyguards can't even bring half the silver Vespasian has offered us"

Glent simply returned it with a smile.

"You got your nickname Mr. Jeog because he said every human you hold can make crows crow together to eat the humans you hold" Glent said, holding the hand of Mr. Geog holding his shoulder.

*or else Mr. Geog will kill whatever man he holds and then the crow will come upon the man.a strange joke of a mercenary.* , thought Glent.

Glent then let go of Mr. Jeog's hand and walked backwards.

Then Glent spread out both of his hands…

"Then let thousands of crows descend upon Fyrr Castle..Mr. Jeog" Glent said with a smile.

Lemp frowned, "what do you mean

"We need the new Lord of Fyrr Castle...Mr. Jeog.and his welcome event should be full of iron and blood seemingly.." said Glent with a smile as he spread his hands wider.

.

Perrin stands on his sailing ship.

Behind the hundreds of troops and knights followed and guarded it.

Although among the fog can still be seen.hundreds of wood fragments floating in the sea either large or small.

Some wood chips are black because of the charred.

Perrin was quite surprised by this, although it has been days of the former battle is still there.

Perrin felt lucky.he didn't see hundreds of bodies floating here..

Or maybe he's already vomiting.

Perrin just swallowed his saliva…

*So this is one of the payoffs of what I do? It's not just the humans I destroyed.but the ocean*, thought Perrin.

But instead Perrin turned around.

"Where is the Cross?" asked Perrin.

"A little while till my master" , return the sailor bowing to him.

It could be seen that Qharlan was sitting in an iron cage, with bread in his two chained hands.

"If that is true, then the 'real enemy' you say may be true" Perrin told Qharlan.

Qharlan could only stare at Perrin with a lazy gaze while chewing his bread.

*Gluk*, after swallowing his bread Qharlan turned to Perrin.

"I ask you again, please I ask for 1 pigeon for King Trivistane and 1 paper and some ink" Qharlan said.

"You've asked for it 5 times since we docked" Perrin said, "and I've said 5 times 'I won't give it to him' "

"Master can see me writing his letter" Qharlan said.

Perrin could only frown his forehead while looking towards Qharlan.

"I told you, I don't trust you" Perrin replied.

"We need a united Mr. Hero, I don't care if you're fake or fake

*BBUK!*

The sound of Qharlan's cheek being struck with the bottom of the spear wood rang out.

"So your mouth, sir, no one can ask the authenticity of the hero in front of us" said the soldier.

Qharlan could only fall silent while holding his cheek which became bruised.

But Qharlan then looked towards Perrin.

"I don't care what now, sir, whoever we are, our real enemy is only one, which even hundreds of thousands of your troops The Strantos will not be able to defeat.." ,tell Qharlan while standing slowly.

"Don't hit him" ''Perrin told his soldiers.

The Perrin soldiers then retreated and moved away slowly from Qharlan.

"Why can't we beat him even if there are hundreds of thousands of troops at our side?" asked Perrin, raising one of his eyebrows.

"He is immortal" Qharlan said.

*adi?* ,thought Perrin.

"Everyone dies no matter who they are and whatever they worship Mr. Qharlan" said one of the Knights of Perrin in a polite tone.

"Even the word 'anyone' will have no effect on him" ' Qharlan said in a strong tone even though there was still a faint tone in his voice, "he had visited a region that thousands had never visited, even if you want him to be the real Demon King!- gentlemen

*bbuk!*

Blow back at him.

"You've gone too far" said one of the Knights of Perrin.

"Cut off my master's tongue, he has insulted you 2 times" said one of Perrin's other knights.

"We need his tongue to give us information about Trivistane's plan" Perrin said.

*Although we have even reported and tortured him he still cannot say*, thought Perrin.

Qharlan was stronger than Perrin thought, even he had been whipped hundreds of times with his back to bleed.

3 Qharlan's nails were also gone, but still the only thing he asked for was one paper and one pigeon and several ink pours.

But look at him.he looks healthy and strong….

Is that so loyal? Perrin suddenly imagined that he was in Qharlan's position and that he was serving Julius.

So Perrin recalled what was a slackness, Perrin almost forgot about it because he had rarely seen it.

At least Perrin has a little respect for him.

*But is the 'real enemy' that he says is true? Is this enemy really the real Demon King?* ,thought Perrin.

"Who's the name of this 'real enemy' that you're saying constantly?" Perrin said.

"Not having, he has no name or identity, a clear past, or even personality" Qharlan said in a heavy voice.

Perrin could only frown his forehead.

" 'The 'Red Spear' from earlier you called him.." Perrin said unknowingly.

"It was from his weapon, glowing red.but it could even change, sometimes the sword, hammer, bow, ring even sometimes it became an eyeball on his face" said Qharlan.

"Eyeball? How do you know all this?" asked Perrin.

Qharlan then fell silent and his face turned darker and heavier. But still Qharlan seemed to tremble slightly in his lips..

And he fell silent..

*He's scared.* , be aware of Perrin something.

"My lord! That's the pole!" said one of the sailors.

Perrin then looked..

*So true..* , thought Perrin.

The giant Cross was seen in strong black with carved into a perfect pole without any cliches.

The pole is like being built by a demigod, finely carved and no scratch marks are wrongly carved.

Standing in the middle of the ocean, and there was no moss approaching..

Like sea life away from the dark cross.

"How come you didn't starve to death hung there for days? How was this pole made? How was this great pillar set into the sea without any waves of the sea bothering it?" asked Perrin in surprise to see the pole.

Hundreds of questions were like holding Perrin's head to look at this pole.

What's he gonna do next? Make peace with Trivistane and defeat any demons that build this?

Is this why the god brought Perrin and his friends here?.is fighting this demon his destiny?

"You don't lie that this pole just appeared a few days ago?" asked one of the soldiers to ask the sailor.

"Yes, I've been fishing in the ocean far around the Bee River for decades, but I've never seen this pole.or even seen one of these.." ,said the sailor swallowed his saliva looking back at this pole.

Perrin felt a cold sweat seeing this…

*What do I do with fighting between people? The real enemy is in front of you Perrin!* ,thought Perrin.

"Master hero." said Qharlan in a heavy voice that almost sounded vibrating.

Perrin then turned back to Qharlan, Perrin could not keep his cold style...Perrin was terrified and broke out in cold sweat, turning towards Qharlan...

"the real enemy has come Mr. Perrin...The devil has come" said Qharlan with the same face of fear as Perrin.
