Hannoic War
Black Boy, Princess, Some Corpse (Part 2)

"Sometimes 'Silent' is a great work of art in a conversation"

the Marcus Tullius Cicero

Black Boy, Princess, Some Corpse

The sound of fire burning wood sounded.

Jean and Hanno face down. Jean's face was full of wide smiles, while Hanno almost looked like a corpse.

They were lighting a bonfire inside a village house that had been looted by soldiers.

The sound of rain falling was heard outside.

"The soldiers who plundered your village don't seem to have stayed long for fear of their actions being discovered just as their general seems to be" Jean said with a smile.

Hanno just sat with her empty eyes staring at the fire burning wood.

"Aren't you going to get revenge?" said Jean.

"Revenge does not bring Filda and her father back to life" Hanno said in a flat voice.

*His eyes are very empty.*, inner Jean.

"Smart kid, you're right.not turn on the person who made them revenge, but the sense of pleasure that some people seek for revenge" ,jean said, adding pieces of wood to the campfire to burn.

Hanno's empty eyes then turned towards Jean.

"Didn't you enjoy revenge?" said Jean, smiling wider as Hanno looked at her.

"Killing never gives me pleasure" Hanno said in a heavy voice.

"Hahahahaha!" , Laughing Jean heard it.

Jean laughed loudly in the rain while the dead body lay on the street just in front of this house.

"Hahhh...what about torturing someone? Have you ever been? And enjoy it.??" , asked Jean.

Hanno just fell silent not answering Jean, her eyes just moved quietly and looked indifferent to Jean.

*He listens.just won't answer*, thought Jean.

"You lack ambition and bloodlust" Jean said, taking something from her bag.

The sound of rain and lightning could be heard from the roof of this house, while this house was quite a mess.

The dining table and chairs looked broken with several baskets of vegetables falling on wet ground.

"Now, eat" Jean said, taking bread from her bag and pointing it at Hanno, "our journey may be long depending on the target we are pursuing"

Hanno then took the bread and looked at it for a while.

"What is that target?" Hanno said, realizing what Jean had said.

"Ask that when you have a purpose" said Jean, who put bread in her mouth.

The bodies of the peasant girl killed by the soldiers lay beside them while being slowly eaten by maggots.

It was seen that the woman had her clothes torn and tears coming out of her dead eyes..

Sitting Taitus in his bed while staring at a knife placed on the table in front of his mattress.

The blade looks blue with white flow like bones mixed in it.

"This...the knife used to kill Kalavvar?" said Taitus.

"Yes my lord, this is unmistakably the melted Iron Mithril and also this sword penetrates the armour of one of Kalavvar's bodyguards easily, so it is very clear the proof is Mithril" Taitus said.

"This is a strange thing. This killer is not an ordinary killer but instead targets Kalavvar.." Taitus said while pressing the side of his head.

Then he looked at the map of Strantos.

A copy of the map drawn by 'Kelenn the Reader' 200 years ago.

"Binun Gerald and Varas Birral..are they killed with the same sword?" Taitus said, turning his head.

"One of Varas Birral's subordinates who saw his murder described the murder weapon as 'Blue like the color of the sea and sparkling like the sun' while Binun Gerald's murder was unclear" Taitus' servant said.

"That is unmistakable.the depiction of Mithril's weapon" Taitus said.

Taitus thought about who wanted to do this, the motive of the person who assigned this assassin to Kalavvar and the other nobles.

"Mithril is rare and very expensive. How could these assassins get it? Besides, why would you want to kill Kalavvar and the other nobles with Mithril weapons?" Taitus said, dizzy thinking about it.

The sound of footsteps behind Taitus' room was heard.

*Tuk*Tuk*Tuk*

"Mr Taitus of Victa.ini I'm Casca" said Casca from outside Taitus' room, knocking on his door.

"Get in" Taitus said.

*Trrekkttt*

The door opened and Casca entered.

"My master" said Casca, looking down at Taitus.

"Am I out?" said Taitus, staring at Casca.

"Yet my lord, your condition is still not determined by 'Kounsil Finger and Hand'. I heard from various mouths of other nobles that you are still suspected as one of the perpetrators of the palace hall attack last night" Casca said in a slippery voice.

"I had no good motive for the strange attack last night" Taitus said.

"Hm" , smiled Casca, "of course, but rumors and wild fake news more always defeat logic among my master humans. I heard people started to dub the attack last night as my master's 'Black Party'" Casca said.

" 'Black Party' ? Was it because of the robes of the assassins who attacked the nobles last night? Strange sense of humor" Taitus said with a small smile.

"I have one more piece of news, my lord, whether this is bad or good" Casca said.

"What?" said Taitus.

*Bad or good?* ,Taitus wanted to say that but held it back.

"Hero Master Cyrus was given the post of 'Prime Minister' by 'Kounsil Finger and Hand' ", Casca said with a sly smile formed on his face, "and his first action was to give Mr. Hero Perrin the position of 'The Prime Minister's Right Hand' "

The sound of clapping the crowded horse legs and the soldier walking with the iron armour could be heard from afar.

So is the flag of the Garius Owl that can be seen fluttering from far away.

Standing Vesius facing the window saw the father and most of the army of Garius departing from the capital.

His father led the front with his grey iron armour and his red cloth wrapped around his chest.

In Vesius' hand held a golden glass with wine in it.

The red-colored war minister's gadget was mounted on his chest.

"My master" said Torrmund, bowing to him.

"Hm?" said Vesius, turning his head towards Torrmund.

"There is news of my master from Dalmatia" Torrmund said, raising his back from his bow to Vesius.

"I thought you wanted to bring me a kounsil shirt" Vesius said as he approached, "what's wrong?"

"There was an attack in Balradius palace and it was reported that Lord Queen Dalmatia survived but was injured in the hand, people called her 'Black Party' my master" Torrmund said.

*Incursion? Did dad? No way, then who?* ,thought Vesius.

"'Black Party'? Heh" , smiling Vesius heard him, "have you found who is behind this attack? Surely not from us, right?" said Vesius.

* 'Black Party'.strange sense of humor* , thought Vesius.

"I've made sure that on our side no one is too creative to attack without our permission my master" Torrmund said.

"What about dad? What about Mr Military Minister Toran Garius?" asked Vesius while looking at Torrmund.

"No my lord, I'm pretty sure of that" Torrmund said.

"You're right, I planned the invasion of Has Castle but I wouldn't have planned the invasion of Balradius Castle because planning 2 plots at once was difficult" Vesius said.

"There is also more news from my lord Dalmatia" Torrmund said, taking out a letter from his clothes.

*I think only one news from Dalmatia.either what the gods planned on me.* , thought Vesius.

"What is.bad news? Or good news." - Vesius.

"Perhaps both are my masters." ' said Torrmund in his calm voice as he opened the letter, "one of my spies copied a letter that was planned to be sent to the nobility in western Dalmatia"

"What is that?" said Vesius, who then drank a glass of wine.

"Someone claimed to be the cousin of Queen Lumpuh Voa.His name was Trivistane and he crowned himself king of Dalmatia, he landed on the floor of Dalmatia and took the port of Harlaw in 1 night with his 30,000 troops, he landed on the floor of Dalmatia and took the port of Harlaw in 1 night with his troops, I heard some of his troops are mercenaries" Torrmund said.

"Trivistane..in the near term this is good news while in the long run this is bad news, for now Dalmatia is in a civil war and distracted by civil war so they are weak in the current Victa front" ,vesius said as he looked at his ring-filled hand.

*Trivistane..that's the name of the Akkadian.*, Inner Vesius.

"The princess was already crowned as Queen of Dalmatia before the god Aurex and the nobility had sworn allegiance to the little Queen while Trivistane had not. Whereas if Trivistane wins then Dalmatia will have a strong crown back" said Vesius who then saw a map with dozens of pawns in it.

*Wait a minute..hero? What about heroes? Which side do they choose?" ' thought Vesius.

"What about Heroes?" asked Vesius curiously.

*If the Hero chooses the Trivistane Faction then it is just as bad news.*, think Vesius while drinking a glass of wine to calm himself for a while.

"I heard that my master had just had a flying pigeon from Balradius Castle, that one of the heroes, Hero Lord Cyrus, was given the post of Prime Minister" he said

"Her hero became prime minister? It is no longer a fight between the little Queen and the King, but a fight between the King and the Hero." - Vesius.

His gaze was directed towards the map with hundreds of pawns inside.

"If the little Queen Lord dies, then it means a hero who has the most likely will rule the throne of Dalmatia.." Vesius said with a sharp look at Dalmatia on the map.

"That's it, son, get out of the tent. I can wear my own armour" Glent said to the boy in front of him.

"Ba-good sir" said the servant while taking his hand off Glent's armour nervously.

Then the waiter walked out of the tent.

*Haw...Hasteinn.when you don't have to send a waiter for me*, thought Glent with a bitter smile.

Hasteinn was too good for Glent, he sent Glent some servants and gave Glent a position as well as the ground even a glistening silver plush armour.

Glent didn't want any of that, though, when Hasteinn said he had a job for himself. Glent thought that he would only be assigned to protect Vella and become her bodyguard.

*Oh yes.maybe I should visit Vella.to see if she's okay* , thought Glent.

Glent then walked out of the tent with a luxurious armour as his clothes.

Some people started to notice him and then hundreds of gazes started to feel.

Glent felt naked despite wearing this armour.

Unlike when he was wearing just an ordinary leather armour and light iron, no one noticed him or saw him.

Glent felt like yelling 'This is the kid wearing the dust-filled leather armour last night all of you were bego!' but he held back.

*Ah tent Vella.*, thought Glent while looking at the tent that looks luxurious from another tent with dozens of soldiers standing outside guard.

Glent then walked towards the tent with a hipped sword and a luxurious shining silver armour.

"Tell me your name" said one of the guard soldiers who noticed the approaching Glent.

"I'm Glent" Glent said.

"Family name?" said one of the guard soldiers.

*Ah shit, when I was told by Hasteinn that I wanted to be given land I should have thought of my family name first. So at least I can be known by my last name*, Glent thought.

Glent thought what if he could enter, should he say that he who led the vanguard was ruled directly by King Geralda? How did this guard warrior recognize him?

Glent had thought that he would leave and cancel for Vella's lace but that made the guard soldiers even more suspicious.

"Vella! It's me Glent wants to come in!" ' he yelled at Glent, not knowing what he was doing and feeling the only thing he could do right now.

"Oi! Oh! Who are you!" said one of the guard soldiers.

"Veeeeeeeeellllaaaaaa~~" , Glent said in a tone.

"Oi! Do not be impudent in front of the tent of the princess!" said one of the guard soldiers again with a sword he was ready to finish.

"Veeeeeeeeeeelllllllllaaaaaaaaaaa~~" , Glent said in a longer voice.

"Oi! It's already! Let's get him!" said one of the guard soldiers.

"Pronounce the cipher!" , the voice of the cute princess Vella could be heard from inside.

It made the other soldiers stop talking as well as Glent.

The atmosphere became quiet for a moment.

"What?" said Glent.

"Here-and-so! 'Password to mister miss' !" said Vella loudly.

*Oh.sial.* , thought Glent.

Glent remembered the 'password for miss' ', he remembered the password when playing in Has Castle with Vella.

But the problem is that he's pretty embarrassed to say it now..

"......the grave flower is swallowed by me" Glent said with a bitter smile.

Some of the guard soldiers were silent and some were seen holding back laughter.

When Glent wanted to enter Vella's room, Glent had to say that, so Glent was careful to be caught in Vella's room.

The Iron-Savvy Child is not allowed to enter the room of a lady, especially if the Iron-Savvy Child is 16 years old while the Miss is.13 years old.

"Mr Glent come in" , another woman's voice came from Vella's tent.

"Master please come in.." said one of the guard soldiers.

Glent walked past the guard soldiers who were staring at him.

*This is because you guys didn't let me in.*, ' Glent thought with annoyance.

When Glent started to get really close to the tent, there was the sound of laughter of princess Vella and the laughter of the other little girls.

Vella can be heard not alone in her tent.

When Glent opened his tent, several daughters from other noble families were with Vella.

Among the group of little girls who laughed saw a teenage woman sitting and her body is taller than other women here.

"Uncle Glent~" , said Vella with a smile.

*Vella smiles more than usual.*, thought Glent.

"Mr Glent, I've heard the courage of you and your father.I heard it was you who saved His Majesty Hasteinn from the boar attack" , ' '' ''I heard" ,said the teenage woman stood up from another group of girls.

"It was a long time ago.nona Balur" Glent said.

Layara Balur, the son of Malare Balur, is one of the most beautiful noble ladies in Geralda.

He was very kind and friendly among the nobility even when he was a child.

"I've heard the news that Mr. Glent was very familiar with the noble Hasteinn.can you tell me how his nature.so we've heard hundreds of stories and rumors before meeting him" ,layara smiled gracefully.

"Talking about her noble nature is like trying to betray her" Glent said.

"It doesn't need to be so serious sir, women like to talk about the nature and personality of a man" Layara said with her sharp brown eyes.

His black hair stretched back on his slender back.

"There's nothing I can tell you about your majesty" Glent said.

"Abang Glent! Brother Glent! He said the king was manly and strong!" said one of the girls with vigor.

"I'm ti-

"No! I heard the king was agile!" said one of the girls so loudly that he cut off Glent's words.

"No, said Vella, the noble one is protective and kind and humble, gentle and loving." said one of the girls again.

Vella seemed to be smiling and Glent smiled bitterly.

Glent then turned his attention to Vella.

"You all right?" Glent told Vella.

"Yes, I'm fine" Vella said, smiling happily even though a little sadness could be felt from her smile.

*How long has he been smiling like this? After her mother died, most of her smiles were sad and forced but at least now there is happiness from her smiles*, Glent thought.

"The princess is happy, Mr. Glent, she was happy to tell us the story of King Malada the Red Beard" ,layara said as she knelt one leg and held Vella's small hand and smiled at Vella.

"Oh..Well then, is there a problem?" Glent said.

There was a sense of sadness from his face even though he was smiling, Glent knew that.

"Nothing.I just want to see my sister again before she leaves. The battlefield.." ' said Vella quietly.

Her eyes could hold back tears.

*she was terrified.she was afraid that her brother would leave like his mother, this child had been beaten and realized by the most sick reality in the world, woman or whatever god she worshipped.*, thought Glent.

Glent could feel the sadness of Vella.

*What can I do? I can't prevent Hasteinn from going to war, I don't even want to go to war without knowing if I'm going to die or not*, Glent thought.

Hasteinn had already moved away, his face and gaze had already changed to lift his great responsibility. He was not the one who played with them anymore in the castle but a king....

*She was relieved to see my face before the war, but she needs her brother right now.*, thought Vella.

"Ush..ush.ush" , Layara's murmur calms Vella for knowing Vella wants to cry, "the noble is busy, we must not bother her.."

*What can I do? I am the son of a blacksmith. What can I do with a king?* ,inner Glent.

"I'll ask your noble permission" Glent said confidently.

Vella and Layara looked at him.

Everything's silent.

"Sister Glent?" , muttered Vella.

"I'll ask your Majesty to meet the princess before going to the battlefield, I can't prevent your majesty from going to the battlefield but I can talk to her" Glent said.

"Are you ready?" said Jean, speaking to Hanno, whom he was riding.

"Yes" said Hanno in a flat voice.

"Hehe, of course, what do you want to prepare?" Jean said with a smile.

A horse's hoop was heard following with the sound of a horse's footsteps.

They rode horses in the middle of the burned village and hundreds of corpses were eaten by maggots and crows...

And the white temple and orphanage that Filda loved burned and destroyed...
