Chapter 26 - Talking Both

A few weeks have passed. Khaira's lecture went well. It's just that during these few weeks, Khaira felt very uncomfortable with her senior brother named Dito.

The reason is, the man blatantly approached Khaira, wherever he was. Both in the presence of his classmate, and in the presence of Khaira's classmate. Not only on campus, he even recklessly came to the residence of Zafran only to meet with Khaira and give her vitamins, even though only arrived in front of the fence of the house from nowhere he got his address.

It made Umar feel angry and did not like Dito for any reason. Though he had often got a gift from him even though in the end the gift was never received because he knew, all just mode. Too rude actually, but that was the instinct of a younger brother who clearly knew how an actual male character was.

Right tonight, Khaira will take part in a vacation together as well as social service held by BEM Faculty of Medicine in the form of free treatment which will be accompanied by several doctors alumni of his own campus.

Khaira is currently preparing items that he will bring in the activity. Umar, who knew his brother's plan, went in and sat on his bed.

"So, who's involved in this activity, brother?" tanya Umar, made Khaira immediately stop his activities for a moment.

"All medical students, Dek," replied Khaira and resumed his activities.

"I went along, Brother," said Umar, making Khaira now look at him in wonder.

"Come? Tumben," replied Khaira in disbelief. He really knows the younger brother who does not like to join the crowd, especially if it is a person he does not recognize.

"It's okay, isn't it? I want to refresh, brother."

"Really?" Khaira now squinted her eyes and looked at her sister with suspicion.

"Really, Brother. Follow me, "pinta Umar again, this time with a face made as blank as possible to persuade the brother.

Khaira was silent for a moment to think. Actually there is no problem if Umar came along, only he was a little doubt whether the BEM party allowed him to bring his brother. Finally, Khaira decided to contact one of her senior brothers to ask about it.

After a while talking over the phone, Khaira turned off her phone, then stared at her sister.

"Yes, you are ready," said Khaira who immediately got an enthusiastic response from her sister.

After preparing and saying goodbye, Khaira and Umar headed straight to the campus on a motorcycle. The plan is that all medical school students will leave together by driving a bus to a coastal area far enough from the city, where social services will be held as well as holidays together.

Before boarding the bus, all students gather to hear advice and direction from lecturers and doctors who will guide the activity this time. While Umar chose to wait near some buses that they would ride later while monitoring the brother from afar.

"Ra, which bus will you take?" dito asked, he came to Khaira who was gathering with his class friends.

"That one, Brother. Why why?"

"It's okay, I'll get you a seat."

"What's? No need ...." Khaira stopped her protest when Dito had left first without waiting for her to finish speaking, it was very clear that the man did not want to hear the word rejection.

All the students started taking the bus one by one including Khaira. He had just received a message from Umar if he had taken a seat for him in the middle.

When Khaira had boarded the bus from the back door, a wave of hands was seen from the front, where Dito had been waiting for her there with a big smile.

Khaira did not pay much heed to Dito because the one in his mind right now was Umar. The girl started walking down the bus hallway while looking left and right. Until he found the younger brother who is now cool playing games on his phone while wearing a hat.

The smile on Dito's face instantly vanished when he saw Khaira sitting in the middle with a man whose face was not clearly visible. The resentment and shame of being ignored began to possess the man.

Hearing someone ask him, Umar immediately looked up. Dito who just realized the existence of Umar was instantly silent with a face so surprised.

"Eh, Umar, I'm sorry, who did I think I was." Dito smiled wryly then immediately returned to his seat without speaking again.

Intentions want to get closer to Khaira, all of them failed because of the existence of Umar.

After a journey of approximately 12 hours from night until morning, the bus carrying Khaira and his friends has now arrived in a village on the coast. The villagers welcomed their arrival with great joy.

After a short break, that morning the team of medical students began to perform social services that lasted until late afternoon, where of all the students were divided into several posts to make it easier for all residents to reach him in doing free checks and treatment.

In the afternoon, the social service activities have been completed, Khaira and Umar along with other students are busy cleaning up the items in the post they occupy before they will refresh and play water on the beach.

"Rangga, you see them?"

Dito and Rangga were sitting in a place not far from Khaira's post. The two have since monitored the girl's activities with her sister.

"Please take Umar away, I want to have a serious talk with Khaira, her sister's whereabouts really interfere with my plans" Dito told Rangga.

"Dek, please help lift this cardboard to the main post well, it happens that you are only a man here," Pinta Rangga who is now carrying a large cardboard containing some drugs and thrusting it on Umar.

Umar did not ask much, he immediately took over the cardboard and took it away as directed by Rangga. The distance between the Khaira post and the main post is a bit far, so it takes time to be able to go back and forth between the two posts.

"Khaira, can we talk?" dito asked who had just arrived at Khaira post after Umar's departure.

"Speak what, brother?"

"Do you want to come with me?"

"We'll just talk here, brother."

Khaira subtly refuses Dito's request, so by force, the man codes another student who is there to leave. Khaira who now no longer has the choice finally resigned but remain vigilant and keep a distance so that no one misunderstood.

"Ra, I'm sorry if I took your time. I just want to express my feelings for you that I've long been craving."

Khaira silently listened word by word to Dito. His heart was racing, not out of nervousness but rather fear and worry about what he would hear later from the man.

"Ra, I like you, I love you, would you give me a chance to be in a relationship with you?"
