He's Not A Bad Boy

He's Not A Bad Boy
Chapter 30 - The Threat Boy

Boy ran down the aisle of a hospital feeling unsettled, his eyebrows clinging to each other, his heart pounding and sweat began to drench his temples. It was obvious anxiety on the man's face, anxiety on the person he already thought was like his own brother.

"Ali had an accident when he had just left the airport. The taxi he was riding in was hit by a large truck and left his head severely injured. Now he's in a coma in the hospital, and hasn't woken up until now."

Boy rubbed his face rough when the words of Salma's mother who turned out to be the mother of Ali had returned to spin in his memory. The longer his run slowed down until his body was now right in front of an ICU room door where Ali was cared for.

The sound of an open door was heard in the room. Boy walked in and immediately introduced himself and greeted a middle-aged man named Herman, he was seen guarding his son with a state that was so lethargic.

How not, the only child who has been a pride and always gives happiness, the, now lying weakly on the bed with a variety of medical devices attached to his body to monitor the situation and help Ali's body during a coma, such as breathing apparatus, which can be used to monitor the situation, feeding tubes and infusions as a way to include nutrients and medications, and ICU monitors to monitor heart rate and blood pressure.

Boy walked over to Ali, who was still blindfolded. His lips covered a smile, but his eyes radiated sadness.

The atmosphere of the room now feels so quiet, there is only the sound of ICU monitors ringing regularly.

"Take a word, son. The doctor said, even though he was unconscious, he could hear voices around him" said the middle-aged man.

Boy looked at Ali's face and then put on his smile again. "Assalamu 'alaikum, Bang. Do you still remember me? I'm Boy, I'm done and I'm back home. It is fitting that you lost the news when you returned to Indonesia, apparently you were lazing here. Awake, Bang. Don't you want to find a job and propose to your special girl?"

Boy stopped his words then looked at Ali's face which gave no response at all. The man now turned towards the middle-aged man beside him with a listless face.

"It's okay, son. We can try it again later," said Herman while commenting on a thin smile although seemed a little forced, he understood the meaning of the look on Boy's face today because he had often experienced the same thing.

Shortly after, Salma entered the room. The three men now talk to each other for a moment about Ali's situation. Based on the story of the middle-aged woman, I don't know how many times they invited Ali to tell a story, but none of them managed to make Ali respond.

"The doctor said, say something that can provoke his emotions, in order to trigger his body to react" said Herman.

"Yes, but Ali is patient, what kind of thing can make Ali's emotions moved?" reply Salma.

Boy immediately remembered something, he immediately turned around and went back to Ali's bed and whispered something near his ear.

"Bang, let's get up, if you don't wake up, I'll marry your special girl" Boy threatened.

Shortly after that a doctor came in to check on Ali, from the pupil examination to the EEG . And from this EEG, there was new activity in his brain that made the doctor's face a little sparkling.

"Alhamdulillah, Ali has just shown his new development, continue to invite him to talk, hopefully in the near future he can wake up from his coma."

Like a breath of fresh air, Ali's parents rubbed their faces full of gratitude and immediately approached Boy.

"Son, we don't know what you're saying to Ali, but whatever it is thank you, son. If you need to repeat again so that Ali will be aware immediately." Herman shook Boy's hand so happily. After a long time they struggled, finally the condition of his son increased in a better direction, God willing his son will soon realize, that is what he believes at this time.

While Boy can only scratch his head that does not itch. It is also impossible that he always said that, if Ali heard everything, maybe he would get a slap from the man when he realized later.

A few weeks later, Khaira resumed her education to obtain a doctorate, where she had to undergo a koas (co-assistant) education for two years in the hospital directly.

As of today, Khaira and some of her friends are following their guidance physician for inpatient visits. Occasionally the doctor will explain the condition of the patient, and not infrequently the doctor will throw a question to them.

From one room, they now move to the ICU room. "This time we will observe patients who have been in a coma for more than three years" said the doctor and then entered a room.

Khaira and some of her friends entered the room.

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a tool that serves to study images from recordings of electrical activity in the brain, including EEG recording techniques and their interpretation.

an EEG may also be useful for diagnosing or treating disorders such as brain tumors or brain damage due to head injury, brain dysfunction that can have various causes (encephalopathy), brain inflammation (encephalitis), and brain inflammation, head trauma and sleep disturbances.

In addition, an EEG test can also be used to confirm brain death in someone who is in a persistent coma. Continuous EEG testing is used to help find the right level of anesthesia for someone who is medically induced (halodoc.com).
