He's Not A Bad Boy

He's Not A Bad Boy
Chapter 41 - Tears of Happy Tears

The sound of wheels coming from a wheelchair could be heard passing through the hospital hallway. A man with a pale face was there. Boy, even though he is still so weak, he still tries to meet his father.

From the beginning he left the house, the goal was indeed a hospital, and who would have thought, qadarullah, he really arrived at the hospital even with different circumstances.

Akmal pushes Boy's wheelchair, while Khaira walks by his side. Not waiting for a long time, now they had arrived at the nursery with Anderson's name plastered there.

Boy was a little surprised when he found Zafran was there to accompany his father.

"Thank you for accompanying me" Boy said.

Zafran did not answer, he walked over to Boy and took over his wheelchair from Akmal.

"How are you doing?" asked Zafran to open his voice.

"Alhamdulillah, it's better, Om," replied Boy smiling awkwardly.

With the help of Zafran and Akmal, Boy is now standing by the side of his father's bed still closing his eyes. He no longer cared about the excruciating pain in his stomach. As long as he could talk to his father, he could feel better.

"Dad, it's me, Boy" said Boy near his father's ear.

Unexpectedly, the man who had since closed his eyes was now slowly opening his eyes when he heard the voice of the son who he had longed for.

"Boy, is that you?" anderson asked in a soft voice, almost sounding like he was whispering.

His hands were so weak he slowly pulled up and rubbed both sides of Boy's face. "I'm sorry dad, Boy" he said in a voice so weak, followed by tears streaming down from the corner of his eye.

Boy shook his head and then held both hands of the father who had started to snort.

"No, Dad's not wrong, I'm the one who hasn't noticed your affection all this time, I'm sorry, Dad." Boy lowered his head in holding back the tears that also wanted to barge out. He really did not want to be seen in front of his father.

"You're never wrong, son. All this time your wild attitude is because of your own father, and I admit that all this time I've been wrong to vent my loneliness and heartache by working to never care about you again." Anderson's voice grew smaller, even starting to stammer.

The middle-aged man really regretted always obeying his brother's words, so he did not realize that all this time the brother was only targeting his property.

"May I hold you, son?" ask Anderson slowly.

Boy just nodded then slowly bowed in order to hug the father. Boy clenched his teeth and closed his eyes withstanding the excruciating pain in his stomach to be able to hug the father, a hug he had only felt this time since a few years ago.

Khaira who has since witnessed everything now unconsciously also shed tears. He was so moved to see the closeness of Boy and his father who re-established after a long stretch, even had almost broken up, but did not break up completely because there is still a longing that binds them.

"Son, who's the girl behind you? All ages, I've never seen you take a woman with you" Anderson whispered. Despite stammering, Boy is still able to understand what the father said.

"He ...." Boy hesitated a bit to answer, but in the end he answered honestly.

"She's the girl who made my life turn upside down, brought light into my life, and filled the space in my heart" Boy replied in a whisper to avoid being heard by Zafran, Akmal and Khaira.

"Can't, she already has a better husband candidate" said Boy, bowing.

"And her future husband is you." Zafran advanced to the side of Boy and then grabbed his shoulder.

Boy was shocked and could not believe what he had just heard. "W-what do you mean, Om? Didn't I resign? Why did you choose me?"

"We didn't choose you, not even Khaira chose you. God chose you, boy."

Boy reflexively turns around and accidentally meets Khaira and finds the girl smiling shyly and bowed.

"Married, Son. I want to see you get married before you leave" Anderson said.

Boy quickly turned around and shook his head again. "Don't talk like that, Dad." Boy lowered his head to his father's soft hand while holding back the tears that again wanted to come out.

"Dad please, son." Boy's hand stopped, he looked at his father's serious face. A moment of silence looked at that pale face, there was no joke there, his beautiful eyes even looked clear.

Boy doesn't understand what to do at the moment. Despite having gotten the green light, he was somehow so embarrassed to ask Khaira to get married right now. Don't all girls want a proposal until a memorable wedding?

Boy quietly bowed for a moment, then took a deep breath several times. Yes, although heavy, pepper finally he still have to convey, in order to make his father happy.

Boy turned towards Zafran with his heart racing. The same feeling when he was first about to propose to Khaira was now coming back.

"Om, I'm sorry if I don't know the place, but allow me to re-apply Khaira, Om's daughter, as well as make her my wife today. Maybe this seems sudden and pushy, but honestly this moment I've been waiting for a long time, I also want to give a gift to dad."

Zafran smiled at Boy's bravery. He patted Boy's shoulder gently and hugged him. "Congratulations, Son. Your good intentions have my blessing."

The atmosphere of the room now seemed crowded but silent, there was no sound in the room other than the voice of someone who had just uttered the lafazh ijab qabul in front of the ruler and his in-laws.

"Well!" akmal and a doctor who witnessed the incident said, not only that, some doctors and nurses at the hospital also said the same thing when watching their patients get married.

Thousands and thousands of thanks are now in the sky for immeasurable favors. After going through a long and difficult process, Boy and Khaira have now officially become a halal couple with dowry all the contents of Boy's wallet because that's all he has today.

Anderson again shed tears at the happiness on his son's face. He is so happy at this time because he was given the opportunity to meet and see his only son give up his single at the end of his life.

My eyes were now slowly closing after successfully shedding the last happy tear.
