He's Not A Bad Boy
Chapter 28 - He Changed

Morning at Abah Rahman's house. Khaira and Umar had just arrived after returning from his social service. While Ainun and Zafran had come early in the morning because of the holiday.

The event will take place later tonight so they come first to help prepare food and various other things.

"Assalamu 'alaikum Granny Ummi," said Khaira and Umar immediately greeted Ummi Lina's hand who answered their greetings. Both of them wanted to greet Abah Rahman as well, but stopped when they saw the grandfather was making a video call with someone.

Umar decided to go straight to the back of the house where his father and omnya and his twin cousins Ammar and Ameer were there. Khaira stayed behind to talk to Umm Lina for a moment.

"Grandmother Ummi, Grandpa Abah is on video call-an equally who?" ask Khaira curiously.

"Oh that, your grandfather's favorite santri who is studying in Cairo right now," replied Ummi Lina.

"Cairo? Well, great well, is he the same age as Khaira?"

"You're old, just two years older than you, why ask that? Do you want to be introduced to him?" ummi asked Lina to tease Khaira.

"What the hell, Ummi's grandmother, Khaira's just her name." Khaira laughed while occasionally covering her face that emitted a reddish tinge, making Umm Lina laugh and increasingly teasing him.

"The name is Boy, it's good to know each other, once a mate," joked Ummi Lina again while laughing.

Unlike Khaira who was instantly silent with a laugh that now vanished from his face when he heard the name Boy.

"Boy? Her name was similar, but there was no way she was, the world would be very narrow if it really was her."

"Yee, he joked and daydreamed, why?" Khaira's daydreams instantly froze when he heard Umm Lina's rant.

"No daydreaming, Grandma Ummi," Khaira lied. "Oh yeah, where are Mama and Umm Aisyah?" he continued asking and diverting the conversation earlier.

"They're in the kitchen, go help them."

"Asiezap." Khaira raised her hand as if she was being respectful then immediately headed towards the kitchen.

"Mrs ... Ummi ..," call Khaira, making the two women who have been talking seriously compact.

"Ah, here apparently. Khaira help, yeah." Khaira immediately joined in chopping vegetables.

Ainun and Aisyah were now staring at each other and giving codes through each other's eyes. Ainun who understood, finally began to open his voice carefully, he did not want his son to misunderstand until he thought he would be married when he still wanted to focus on college.

"Ekhem, Honey. If someone likes you, how?"

"Alhamdulillah, Mother..Khaira is happy if anyone likes Khaira," replied Khaira so lightly without turning her gaze from the carrot she was cutting.

"It's not that, honey. I mean, if suppose there's a guy who likes you and wants to marry you, what do you think?"

Khaira immediately stopped her activities and stared at Ainun and Aisyah in turn.

"Married me?" Khaira pointed at herself and the two women nodded their heads compactly.

"Yes it's okay if anyone wants to, meaning that Khaira is still selling in the market," replied Khaira who was wanted to be a grunt.

Ainun and Aisyah who had held their breath in curiosity waited for Khaira's answer to immediately throw a rough breath. Both of them did not think out with the girl, he could have answered a serious question with a joke.

"Seriously little by no means, son," said Ainun.

"Yes, here. Don't kayak Om you're the one who likes to joke, again seriously as well" Aisyah said.

"Hehe, yes, sorry," Khaira said with a faint smile.

"So how?" ask Ainun again.

"Khaira still wants to focus on completing college and getting a doctorate first, Mama, Ummi. It's not that Khaira wants to put off good things, it's just that Khaira isn't ready. Khaira still wants to enjoy college and spend time with you."

"If Khaira has finished college, and achieved Khaira's dream, then Khaira wants to open her heart through marriage and make a new dream with her husband," continued Khaira smiling with a look forward.

Ainun and Aisyah now nodded in understanding with the girl's answer before them which was quite reasonable. However, Khaira is an adult, and they do not want to force Khaira to do something, because they realize, Khaira must have been good at making her own decisions.

Abah Rahman and Umm Lina were busy welcoming guests, as well as Aisyah who was busy welcoming her teacher friends.

"Mom Aisyah, how is it? What has been said to Khaira's parents about my son's good intentions?" salma asked, Aisha's teaching friend.

"Eh Miss Salmah, come here." Aisyah took Salma a little away from the crowd of other teachers to maintain privacy.

"Look, Mom. It wasn't just her mother I told her, but Khaira I told her right away."

"Keep, what's the answer?"

"Said Khaira, she wants to focus on college first, Mom."

"Oh yeah it's okay, wong Alinya is also still studying S2 in Cairo, so later if it's finished, Khaira is also finished, so can meet each other, right?"

"Eh yes, Mom. Alinya willing to wait patiently, because college in medicine was a bit long. But we can't promise either, because all decisions will go back to Khaira."

"Yes, Mom. I understand."

One year later.

Today is Ali's graduation day. Both parents could not come because the father was not healthy, so instead, Boy and some other friends who replaced them in celebrating the happy day.

"Congratulations, Bang on graduation" Boy said, shaking Ali's hand and smiling happily.

"Thank you, Boy. Hopefully you can also graduate soon, your grades are always good and your Arabic skills are also getting smoother, God willing it will be easier," said Ali hugged Boy for a moment.

"Aamiiin, thank you, Bang," said Boy smiling, he hoped that what Ali said was true so that he could soon return to his homeland.

Shortly after they had a conversation, a girl came with a bouquet of flowers.

"Bang Ali, congratulations on graduating" Silvi said as she handed Ali the bouquet and shook her hand, but quickly cupped her hands together in front of her chest.

"Thank you, Silvi," said Ali.

Silvi just smiled awkwardly while pulling back her hand. "So, what's your next plan? Work or marriage?" silvi continued trying to expel his awkwardness.

"Of course I'll get married right away after work, Silvi. How can I support my wife if I don't have a job yet?" ali's reply followed a laugh.

"Well cool, there is already a candidate that means," asked Silvi again trying to make small talk.

"God willing, please pray all, may it be made easy."

"Aamiiin," answered all his friends, including Boy and Silvi.

"Boy, hurry up and finish, so you can marry your special girl soon" Ali told Boy.

Silvi immediately turned to look at Boy who was nodding at Ali's words.

"Special girl? Who the hell is he Boy? Am I not that special girl?" cecar Silvi gave a forced smile, and looked quite worried.

Instead of answering, Boy ignored Silvi and did not intend to answer every question at all. For him, answering questions will only make Silvi more and more pursue him with endless questions.

Elsewhere, a middle-aged man was sitting in his great chair, looking at a photo of his son he had never met in college with a very different appearance.

"She's changed, she's really changed," she softened with a crystal melt that slowly began to wet her cheeks.

"Do I have to call him for you, sir?" ask the secretary who is standing right in front of him.

"No, don't ever contact my son, let him go to college there, and I have no rights to him anymore" the middle-aged man refused, wiping his tears.
