Chapter 34. Where'd He Get It?

Besides, Aneeq just got a call from his men looking for Alicia. He immediately received the call, thinking there was something important, that his men wanted to convey.

"Hello, did something happen? Or is there progress?" aneeq asked as he walked towards the large window in his room.

He was hoping that Alicia would be found soon, because it had been five years since she had disappeared, like being swallowed by the earth, there was no specific information between life and death.

"Sorry, Sir. Me and the team have tried to find it as much as possible. But we have an obstacle" explained a man across the street, making Aneeq frown.

"What's that?"

"It looks like someone's shutting us down, sir. Because as long as we search for the name is nowhere, I'm sure the person protecting it isn't an ordinary person" she explained, leaving Aneeq's mind instantly open.

All this time they kept looking but there was almost no result, and it seemed like the guess was true, there was someone behind Alicia's disappearance. But who?

"What about Lee's men?" asked Aneeq, because he had divided the tasks, his men searched the campus area, while Lee's men were in the hospital area.

The man on the other end breathed, because the answer was the same. They didn't get any leads. "No results whatsoever, sir. But we haven't given up, we'll try to give our best."

"Okay, then I'll find out more about this. Just continue your search, later let me tell you again for the next plan," said Aneeq, who was immediately approved by his men.

He disconnects the call first, and begins to think who might be the one who helped Alicia. Is that guy really powerful.

"It looks like my brain is starting to malfunction. The older I get, the more senile I get" Aneeq muttered, as he could not guess who was behind all this. Whether it's someone who betrayed behind Lee's back, or someone he doesn't know at all.

"Whoever he is, I should believe, that he is more dangerous. This case has been too long, I should have moved faster."

The middle-aged man went back to monologuing with himself, he felt bad for not being able to help his son to solve the problem, even though he was the most reliable figure in his family.

That night Aneeq attempted to contact Lee, as he wanted to ask anyone close to the woman, while still at his son's side. Who knows if he can get an answer from there, and find out someone who's been protecting Alicia all along.

But there was no answer from Lee, because the man's phone was left in the room. Lee is now on the doorstep of his two children's room.

He hesitated to enter, so chose to stand in front of that rectangular object. Long time there, Lee finally decided to see the state of Gio and Shasha.

With great care Lee closed the door, then stepped very slowly, so as not to make a sound. When he was already at the side of the sofa, he looked at the innocent face of Gio who looked comfortable in the arms of Renata.

Lee slightly bent his body.

"I'm sorry Daddy, honey. Daddy hasn't been able to give you the best. Daddy doesn't know if every day you wonder how Daddy and Mommy Sofia are, Daddy is too busy to ever have time for you both" Lee said, gently rubbing Gio's head. He felt like a useless father. Because of him, Gio and Shasha have to feel this all.

Lee kissed Gio's forehead briefly. Then raised the handsome boy, to move to the bed and sleep freely.

"Do'll Daddy well, so you can find your mother quickly" Lee said when his two children were sleeping next to each other. He lifted the blanket up to his chest, then gave a good night. "Good night, My Little Angel."

And now Lee's eyes turned to the figure of Renata who began to curl up on the sofa. The woman hugged her own body as it felt cold at room temperature.

Lee came closer and took a closer look at that pretty face. Because he wanted to thank the secretary, the man also intended to lift Renata's body and move her to the bed.

Renata who was already sound, really did not feel anything when his body floated because it was carried by Lee.

"She's a good woman. But I always felt awkward with her," muttered Lee, then stepped up and laid Renata's body beside Shasha.

However, Lee who was about to envelop Renata, suddenly stopped when he saw the woman's pajamas rising, to show her stomach.

Lee immediately froze while continuing to notice something that plagued his mind. Yeah, he saw a stitch in Renata's stomach, making her brain wander everywhere. Lee widened his eyelids perfectly, and further researched what was before him.

"Him?" Lee's voice choked, with a movable fingers, was about to touch the woman's stomach. "Where did he get these stitches? Has he ever been hurt?"

His mouth may ask like that, but Lee's memories instantly fell during Alicia's time of surgery.
