Panic Flavor
"We meet again, Elkan," said the oriental-faced woman who was now standing before Elkan and Mira.
If Elkan had held Mira's hand even tighter, while Mira herself immediately remembered the pain she had experienced a few years ago. Seeing the woman back in plain sight made Mira feel that the storm might greet her household ark again.
It was as if just yesterday Mira prayed to God to enjoy the breeze blowing in her household, but now in fact what came was a storm. Panic also seemed to surround the heart and make Mira afraid.
"We'd better go, Honey," asked Elkan.
Mira nodded her head. Of course she'll go with her husband. Instantly there was a sense of insecurity that Mira was feeling right now.
"Don't, we just met. Is this your reward for everything I've received and experienced in the past because of you?" ask the woman.
"Forget over the past" replied Elkan.
The woman smiled. How the past happened was so bitter that he was expelled from campus, lost valuable opportunities, and also deported from the Kangaroo Country. Yes, this woman is Rosaline. The woman who is obsessed with Elkan, even stabbed Mira a few years ago when they were both studying in Australia.
Meeting Rosaline made Mira feel sick again. It was not only the heart that was hurting from hearing and seeing for itself how the woman was obsessed and infatuated with Elkan. However, there is another pain that arises is remembering the pain of receiving a stab in his stomach several years later.
Even Mira reflexes holding her own stomach. The shadow of the past if a folding knife stabbed into his stomach while it was still feeling. Elkan knew that there might be trauma related to the past re-emerging. Therefore, Elkan immediately tightened his arm.
Rosaline smiled. Presumably he managed to spread intimidation even though he honestly has not done anything. Until finally, Rosaline switched, she took a few steps and started dealing with Elkan and Mira.
"The line of destiny brings us together again, Ra. We met in Australia, now we meet in Jakarta. When will we meet in sweet dreams?" rosaline asked Elkan with a gentle smile.
"Stop that crap, Line!"
Elkan answered so with annoyance. For him, Rosaline not only used to, but now it feels so annoying. This made Mira very upset by it.
"Don't be quick, Ros. I'm not affected by what you say."
Meeting Rosaline was certainly not what Elkan expected. For, Elkan had truly left what was happening behind him.
"You better go, Rosaline. Let's just say we'll never meet in this town" Elkan said.
"Can't, Elkan. I came from Singapore expecting nothing after the years passed. However, after meeting you as if to re-ignite the fire in my heart. So, I can't forget anything" Rosaline replied.
Mira took a long breath. What does Rosaline want? Mira has a premonition this time is really not good. Moreover, Rosaline who used to be an ambitious figure and full of obsession with her husband. It really made Mira to be misgivings.
