In another hadith, the Prophet SAW said, “Verily the prayer was made for me as a tranquilizer.” (HR an-Nasa’i).

Prayer can calm the heart, mind, and soul who are depressed and physically tired due to too much energy suspended. Because, in prayer, a person is actually facing Allah SWT, leaving a moment of worldly activity to provide an opportunity for the spiritual or soul to communicate with Him.

Prayer is a worship that contains remembrance (remembering Allah) and prayer to Allah SWT. Prayer is language meaning prayer. In the Qur'an, remembrance is said to make the heart calm, “Those who believe and their hearts are at peace by remembering Allah. Remember, only by remembering Allah does the heart become serene.” (QS ar-Ra’d [13]: 28).

Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:

وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ فِيْ الصَّلَاةِ

“and has been made an entertainer (decorator) of my heart (my happiness) at prayer.” (CHR. Nasai [7/61].
