Hijrah Love Arunika

Hijrah Love Arunika
Chapter 8. Istikharah

Aru and Dirga meeting also happened. The parents of both parties had planned this meeting the day after Aru was told to be betrothed. Counted a week from that time. Dirga's parents, who were abroad, took the time to go home for the Son.

The old men were chatting intimately, as if Papa and Mama Aru had known Dirga's parents for a long time. Curious, Aru who had originally survived in silence, chose to ask. "Have you known each other for a long time? Why are you so familiar?" ask Aru wonder.

Crispy rarity was heard from all. Aru feels like the dumbest man there because he knows nothing. "Your father was Om's friend in college. We are also involved in some business cooperation" replied Mr. Sena, the father of Dirga.

"Actually, you've met us at some meetings. It's just, you used to not care about the surroundings. You are too good with your own world. But, Auntie is happy to see you've changed and care around." It is now Bu Dita's turn to explain.

Aru smiled stiffly. In the past, he wasn't that cool. Too busy with gadgets and his world is just Yoda. Now, Aru regrets having forgotten those closest to him just for the sake of a self-destructive man.

"I'm sorry about the old Aru, Tan. Unintentionally, maybe Aru had hurt Aunt at that time," said Aru full of regret.

"No problem. You just lost your direction. Now, you have found your lost self. Stay put and improve, baby," replied Ms. Dita full of tenderness and affection.

Dirga who saw that, revealed a thin smile that might not be seen by one person.

Aru's gaze fell on Dirga who was now also looking at him. There was no forced signal like the one in the movies and novels that Aru read. In fact, Dirga is so enjoying the atmosphere tonight that according to Aru is actually so stressful.

Perhaps, it was only tense for him to know how Dirga's character was. I don't know what happens if he's going to one roof with the man with the spicy mouth.

"So how? Does Aru approve of this matchmaking?" ask Bu Dita expectantly.

Aru looked at Dirga again for help. He also hoped that the question would be thrown at the man first. "It's still shy. How about Dirga himself? You must have known how Aru was in the past, and that can not be proud of," said Mama Kalea then folded her lips inward.

Talking about his daughter's past has always been a sensitive subject. The Dirga and Aru saw that expression clearly. "Dirga's no problem, Tan. The most important thing is Aru in the present. I will accept all the good and bad past" replied Dirga so sweetly.

The parents smiled with relief. Now, all eyes are back on Aru who has not given the answer. "How's Aru?" asked Mr. Sena smiling without any intimidating look.

Aru pulled and exhaled slowly. "Aru ready, Om. Hopefully, Dirga can guide and teach Aru about kindness. Thank you also because Dirga is willing to accept Aru as it is," he said sincerely. Aru never manipulated his words. He earnestly praised Dirga who had graciously accepted it.

Regardless of what intentions are hidden within. Aru did not want to guess and ended up having a headache from thinking about it.

All smiles and breathing a sigh of relief. Not wanting to delay, they immediately discussed about marriage. Aru was invited to discuss so was Dirga. Because they are getting married, all decisions still need consideration from them.

After the dinner was over, they decided to go home. Aru was already in her luxurious room and sat pensively by the side of the bed.

"Is my decision correct by accepting this match?"

"Will Dirga really teach him about kindness?"

Aru monologued when her head was boisterous by the question. Given this, Aru also remembered the message of Umi Nyai during the study this afternoon. Aru smiled, feeling enlightened about the anxiety that was being felt.

"Sholat istikharah," murmured Aru and found out on the internet about his procedures. Not to forget, he also asked Mbak Zahra to prove his validity. Seems to have understood, Aru went to the bathroom to take ablution water.

He believed that God would help him find the bright way. Before the wedding day arrives, Aru must strengthen her heart first.

After returning from the bathroom, Aru put on a face and held a prayer mat. He wanted to calm his heart as well as his mind. By being close to the Creator, Aru believes he can find a way out.
