Warmth of a mother.

Alice opened her eyes when she heard the voice of someone calling out to her, Alice held her throbbing head, for some reason her body felt shivering now and her eyes felt heavy.

"Alice, are you okay?" olivia's voice called out to him.

"Olivia and?" Alice was about to get out of bed but her head hurt.

"Hey you better get some sleep." Olivia restrains Alice's body to keep her best friend asleep in bed, but Alice stays in her bed.

"Olivia, why are you here and how do you know my house?" tanyanya.

"That kid.?" The woman who was sitting in front of him pointed at Jacob who was standing leaning against the door.

The man only looked at Alice while his face was clearly visible if he was worried about Alice.

"She asked us to come over and freaked us out, I think something really bad happened."

"Alice, Brother Jacob called us here and said you were sick" Olivia said.

"Sister Jacob?"

"Sorry he's my brother." Olivia was not feeling well.

"Alice are you okay?" the woman sitting in front of him touched Alice's forehead and rubbed her hair.

"This is my mother" said Olivia.

"Mother?" alice's tears immediately flowed upon hearing the mother's words.

Samantha was very astonished and looked at her son, why is the girl crying?

Jacob nodded at his mother and at that moment Samantha immediately hugged Alice, although she did not know what was happening but her maternal sense said that she should do that.

Alice returned Samantha's embrace, hugged the woman and cried in her arms. She felt she was hugging her mother at this moment because the warmth of the woman's embrace made her remember the warmth of her mother's embrace.

Jacob just leaned against the door of the room, looking at the crying girl in his mother's arms.

When she brought Alice back from her family grave, the girl began to shiver during the car especially when she touched Alice's forehead which was hot.

Jacob began to panic, when they arrived at the girl's house, Jacob immediately held Alice and brought her into his room.

Jacob even replaced Alice's clothes that were wet with dew, taking a towel and warm water to compress the girl's forehead.

When she returned Aunt Carol was gone, it seemed like the middle-aged woman was going somewhere while Marry had gone to school, it made Jacob panic.

Jacob calls Olivia and asks her sister to come to Alice's house with their mother.

She felt Alice needed a mother figure at this time especially the girl always said if she missed her mother.

"Darling, is my son bothering you?" Samantha rubbed Alice's hair gently.

Alice shook her head, the sense of warmth of the woman's body she was embracing was treating her mother's longing.

"Sorry aunt." Alice let go of her embrace and wiped her tears.

Samantha smiled at him and rubbed Alice's head.

"It's okay, you can think of me like your mother."

Samantha helps Alice get back to sleep in bed.

"And tell me if that kid is bothering you." while looking at Jacob.

"Mom, I'm not bothering him." Jacob replied quickly.

Alice looked at Jacob who looked worried.

"Thank you aunt, she sucks and bothers me" she said.

"What?" Jacob couldn't believe hearing it.

Olivia held back her laughter while Samantha stepped towards her son.

"James!" Samantha immediately grabbed her son's ear.

"Mom, he just talks, I'm not like that!" Jacob held his ear.

"What is not? You're not much different from your daddy." Samantha still holds out her son's ear and pulls Jacob out of Alice's room.

Alice smiled and pulled out a blanket to cover her cold body.

"Alice, are you okay?" Olivia approached him and sat on the bed.

"Olivia thank you for coming with your mother."

"It's okay Alice, you know, when we arrived Jacob's sister looked so panicked."

"Yes." Yeah." Olivia looked down and felt bad.

"Good, you tricked me!" alice was upset.

"I'm sorry Alice." said Olivia.

Alice looked at her best friend, then the girl covered her eyes with her arms to hold back her tears from flowing back.

"It's okay Olivia, I'm just kidding. Thank you for coming."

Olivia touched Alice's hand and rubbed it.

"Alice, I just found out that you don't have both parents anymore."

"It's okay Olivia." Alice interrupted her friend's words quickly.

At that moment Jacob entered Alice's room, carrying medicine and a glass of water in her hand, the man walked up to them.

"Olivia, mommy called you."

"Alice, I'm out first, and get some rest." Olivia got up and walked away.

Alice nodded and at that moment Jacob sat down beside her and gave Alice the medicine he was carrying.

"Darling, how are you doing now?"

"As you can see."Alice sat back in bed and took the medicine from Jacob's hand and drank it.

Jacob held onto Alice's forehead which still felt warm.

"Rest, my mother is making you porridge."

Alice looked at the man and went back to laying on the bed, why is it so good?

"Jacob, I'm so grateful to you. You even asked your mother to come and I felt bad for bothering her."

"Stts..honey, I told you that my family is very good, even though I'm like this but I have principles."

"I will be sincere with every word I say so don't feel bad because sooner or later you will be mine."

"Don't dream!" Alice immediately pulled out a blanket to cover her flushed face.

Why was his heart pounding when he heard Jacob's words? It must be because of the fever!

Jacob simply chuckled and kissed the girl's forehead gently.

"Sleep baby, I'll wake you up."

"Jacob, once again I'm very grateful."

"Ssttt...!" Jacob lowered his head and kissed Alice's lips.

Alice raised her hand, hugging Jacob's neck tightly.

"You'd better go to bed, baby, otherwise we'll be sprawled out here together because I can't stop kissing your lips." Jacob whispered on the sidelines of their kisses.

Alice smiled and kissed Jacob's face, which made Jacob startled, did Alice begin to accept it? Or did the girl do it because of her fever?

"Hey honey."

But Alice had already covered her blushing face with her blanket, she was very embarrassed and did not want Jacob to see her face.

Jacob's smile expanded on his face, with Jacob slowly rubbing Alice's head.

"Sleep, baby." Jacob immediately got up to his feet walking out of the room.

Alice looked at Jacob's departure and closed her eyes, inexplicably why Jacob was so kind to her but she knew, the man was so sincere to her.

At that moment, Alice remembered her father's message. If his father was still alive, would his father have scolded him for being close to Jacob Smith?

Somehow he became curious why his father asked him not to get involved with the Smith family when they were a very good family.

Alice exhaled heavily and said inwardly:
