Household

Household
Chapter 8 - Good in-laws -

There is no need to listen to others, because we live for ourselves and not for others. As long as it's not harming isn't the problem?

......................

As usual when people at home go to work, Ibu Siti will shop for vegetables and start gossiping with other Mothers. What an unexemplary thing.

“Loh, how limp Ti?” asked Bu Ani as soon as she saw Siti's mother who looked limp.

The other mothers turned to look at Mother Siti who did look limp. “Nothing really, just so tired aja.”

“Capek why then?” this time, Mrs Wiwi asked.

Mother Siti smiled pitifully, inviting worried gazes from the other Mothers. “Capek from yesterday I have no rest. Binar again tired of work so that takes care of home yes I myself.”

The complaint only invited a vote of disbelief. They think a daughter-in-law like Binar is really outrageous. She has a husband but does not know her duties.

“Kok so anyway, very late mbak Binar it. Wealthy in-laws only have household assistants. You do not want dong digituin, once firmly the same son-in-law himself it is necessary.” Bu Wiwi looked so furious, if only there was a Binar here maybe he had lectured the woman.

“That bill, why would you want Siti. You tell your son that his wife does not act. Kasian you are old instead of enjoying old age even added burden.” Bu Ani also looked fiery as if he was the defender of such a weak race.

Ibu Siti again smiled weakly, “nothing Mother-Mother, it's a pity she's been working time having to do homework too. It's just sorting out and cooking kok.”

Miss Rini who was silent from earlier finally joined the voice, “you do not spoil your mouth is Siti. Tell him if you can't take care of the right household better stop working.”

“It can't be like that, I don't want to be selfish like that. Just let him be important he's happy and Blue is happy too.” The ruse invites protest from other mothers.

“Loh it's your daughter-in-law who is selfish, you don't just shut up. Yesterday we had nasehati turned out to be still ignorant too.” Ms. Rini made a sound again, she used to work hard to discipline her daughter-in-law.

“Already Mothers, later I will talk to Binar. Thanks for the input from Mothers all,” Mother Siti smiled happy to feel she got a lot of support from among Mothers.

Mother Siti thinks everything she does is solely for the happiness of her son. She only wanted Binar to serve as a good wife and to carry out her duty of serving Albiru with all her heart as she served her husband.

...****************...

After last night's conversation with Binar, Albiru kept thinking about his wife. Actually Albiru had suspected this, some time ago Ibu Siti had also discussed the problem of Binar's work. It's just that Albiru did not until the heart conveyed to his wife. Deep in his heart Albiru really did not mind if Binar worked, the only condition is that Binar did not forget his obligations as a wife.

Albiru sighed for the umpteenth time. Raka who heard the voice just turned her head. Seeing his co-worker who was like a lot of thought made him wonder. As someone who is more mature, of course, Raka feels Albiru needs a place to confide.

Raka shifted her seat closer to Albiru who was just stirring the food on her side. “Why the hell? More power of thought yes.”

Albiru turned a glance, not knowing what to answer. During this time he never told anything to others about the problems in his household.

Raka who understands soon embraces the new Albiru, “kalo there is a burden on the mind lo story aja same me. As long as I can help will I help.”

Albiru smiled faintly before finally choosing to tell a story. “Gue is just confused, my wife has many more thoughts. I'm saying she should be my neighbor's gossip because she chose to be a career woman rather than a housewife.”

“My wife is also like that first, lo taukan parents thinking sometimes still a little conservative. They think the wife is the duty to serve the husband. I'm not wrong thinking that anyway, there is a wife forced to come to work because of insufficient economic needs and there is also a wife who works because it is her dream, so career woman.” Obviously Raka while remembering the problem first with his wife.

“Gue never forbid my wife work mas, but last night he just did I sincerely he work. He became guilty can not be a good wife just because of the omonga neighbors are not good.”

“We cannot force others to agree with us. Let it be, just prove that your household is harmonious even though your wife chooses to be a career woman.” Raka's advice invited Albiru's relieved smile.

What Raka said was true, as long as her household was fine no matter whether Binar worked or not. And he really appreciates the desire of his wife, after all there will be a time when Binar stops working as they had agreed.

...****************...

“Mbak Binar!” call Dinda as soon as you see her getting out of her car. Today there were no gossip mums so Dinda felt safe.

Binar turned his head and smiled when he found out that Dinda was the one who called him. “Hai mbak,” greet Binar friendly.

“I can talk to both of you for a minute?” ask Dinda.

Binar turned his head towards the house for a while making sure no one was eavesdropping. “Bby mbak, let's get in the car first.”

The two got into Binar's car to make sure no one would be able to eavesdrop on their conversation. For some reason their Binar what Dinda will talk about is a secret.

“Previously I'm sorry mbak,” Dinda opened the conversation. “I've been holding this for quite a while, but I don't have the same heart as Binar.” Dinda paused for a moment confused about where to start.

“What's up mbak?” ask Binar was-was.

“I've heard several times in-laws mbak Binar tell a bad-ugly about mbak. I don't know if I believe it or not, but I can't hear it. I used to be in the position of mbak, my in-laws always told me of other neighbors, therefore I do not have the heart if mbak in my position first.” Clearly Dinda was at length and exaggerated.

Binar was of course surprised, because all this time Mother Siti treated him well. Never get angry at him and always give good direction. Binar is confused to believe in Dinda or not. If you see how Dinda tried to speak in person, make Binar inevitably a little trust in Dinda. After all, there was no point in Dinda lying to Binar, but she did not know what to react to hearing her own in-laws pinning herself behind. Even though Binar loves Mom like he loves his mother.

“I don't know how to. I have to believe it or not, but I thank you for the information mbak.” Binar was confused.

Seeing that Dinda smiled politely, she knew Binar was at a loss as to what kind of reaction she used to be as well. Between believe or not. Because in his mind what kind of in-laws can mock his own daughter-in-law.

Dinda immediately withdrew, leaving Binar alone to think clearly.

While Binar was still sitting in the car, rethinking Dinda's words. What's he supposed to do? Inner wonders.

Tok tok tok tok

The car's glass door was knocked to make Binar aware of his banquet. He saw Albiru who was staring worriedly at him. Binar smiled slightly and immediately went out to see her husband.

“New home Bi?” He just politely yelled at Albiru.

Albiru did not answer but asked back, “you why in the car alone?”

Binar shook his head trying to hide his anxiety, “I'm just a fad of playing hape even the persistence until forget time.”

Albiru stared unconvinced but decided not to ask further. Seeing that Binar was secretly breathing a sigh of relief, he would keep this to himself until later to find concrete evidence of his in-laws' behavior.
