Chapter 16's

Finix opens the door to Varya's room, where Varya and Reina are enjoying dinner. Realizing Finix's arrival, Varya greeted him with a warm smile.

"Finix! Is your sleep good?" Varya asked with a smile.

"of course. It was thanks to His Majesty" Finix bowed respectfully as a token of gratitude.

"Well, you're really a princess like in the fairy tale my mother told me, when I was a kid" amazed Reina. Varya just chuckled at the girl's innocent behavior.

"Of course, she is even better than the princesses in fairy tales. Look how beautiful she is" Finix said, embarrassing Varya.

"You're right, guard sir. I almost thought that I was meeting an angel now." Reina smiled innocently.

"Come on! Stop flirting with me, let's continue with the dinner. Finix, come sit down. We fill our stomachs first" Pinta Varya.

Finix pulled out a chair and sat down, not surprised by Varya's attitude now. Varya treats Finix not just subordinates but partners as well. This new feeling made Finix feel more comfortable and appreciated.

After they finished eating, Varya immediately wanted to start a serious conversation. Enough with the three of them in the room.

"Reina, I look at you like you're used to being a noble with etiquette that has really been mastered. Have you been taught that before?" Varya asked who saw Reina earlier.

"I've actually never learned this. I've seen this in my dreams. Where I put on a nice dress and learned the etiquette of nobility. What am I doing right?"

"Sure, it's perfect. Do you see in your dreams when you study that where you are?"

"Eum, I don't really remember. But I just know it's like being in a big mansion" Reina replied briefly, Varya wouldn't ask that question further. He did not want to make Reina feel pain when remembering her dream.

"Reina, can you tell me a little bit about yourself? I don't need much, maybe just a word or two. I want to get to know you so I can carry you with me"

"Actually I was the adopted son of a poor married couple in a remote village. They said they found me in the woods while they were looking for firewood. They cannot have children so finding me is a gift to them.

They have supported me with hard work. I was so happy living with them even though we were mediocre. Until one day disaster struck our village when I was seventeen, exactly two months ago. My village and my house had a fire, my mother and I survived but my father was hit by the ruins of the house. When my father was gone, my mother was sick, it was a very difficult time for me. Until finally mom caught up with dad, I lost my way.

Then being dragged by the terrible people, they sold me to the slave auction. I was suffering until one night I had a dream. And that dream made me escape from that prison. As I ran in the darkness of the night only my necklace was capable of guiding my direction. Now I truly believe that my dreams are true, leading me to you. The girl in my dream..." Varya gently brushed away Reina's tears after she finished with her long story.

Varya knew what the girl was feeling right now. In his previous life he was very quiet, maybe this is why. Although Reina gains love and power but is hard to recover from her injuries.

"It's okay Reina. It doesn't matter to me, as long as you're comfortable you can say whatever you want. You've survived this long must be hard, calm down now you're safe with me. Thank you for believing in me" Varya hugged the girl affectionately, she was like hugging her little sister now.

Reina who felt that warmth could no longer hold back her tears. He returned the hug tightly until his cry broke. Fini who saw that smiled, he saw a very moving sight now. He saw another Varya now.

The usually firm and strong Varya now became meek and very affectionate. Finix got confused because the girl was so perfect now. Varya has all the things an ordinary girl doesn't have.

In the morning Varya started her journey again. It was in the car along with Reina and Finix. The right decision to bring Reina to Ferlya, there she will find her future. But this time Varya won't let Reina be taken for granted by the king.

This innocent girl suffered too much in the past due to the king's selfishness. He was almost wretched many times because of the jealousy of the noble girl Ferlya who wanted to become Queen. This time Varya intends to teach Reina stronger with herself, then she will release Reina on the person who loves her.

"Well! Your Majesty see we're going down a path filled with flowers!" Gleeful Reina looked at the flowers on the side of the road.

When saying flowers, Varya immediately glanced at Finix. If likened to a flower then Finix is a rose, a flower that can hurt people who are not careful with it.

"Is there anything you want to say, Your Majesty?" Tanya Finix who realized her self was already noticed.

"none. Merely, my bodyguards always looked great at all times" Finix's cheeks blushed upon hearing that made him turn his face away.

Varya chuckled at Finix's behavior, the man was very easy to tease. Her blushing face was adorable. It's a fun thing for Varya to do, he wants to keep seeing Finix like that.

"His Highness the Princess, is king Ferlya scary?" Ask Reina. Varya was a bit surprised because Reina suddenly asked her future husband.

"So, we'll know when we get there. And we have to be careful when meeting her you understand Reina!" Varya's words with her serious face made Reina round her eyes.

"Ready, I understand" Reina replied with her serious face that made her cute.

"Good, smart kid" Varya rubbed Reina's head gently.
