After the call ended, Ansel turned on his car engine again. The man decided to turn around to go to the grave of his older sister, Clara's mother.
Upon his arrival at Clara's mother's grave, Ansel crouched beside the tomb and sowed it with the flowers he had bought in front of the tomb. When he finished, he also offered a prayer for his brother.
“Kak Nia, I'm really sorry because I failed to keep Clara, sister,” said Ansel, then took a deep breath.
The man closed his eyes. Other than Nia, there were no more brothers she had. In the past, Nia could always calm Ansel's heart whenever Ansel got into trouble. But now, Ansel only hoped that telling Nia a story would lighten the burden of his mind a little.
“Kak Nia used to ask me to look after Clara and ask me to think of Clara as my own niece. But ... I fell in love with Clara.”
Ansel gave a roaring laugh, well aware of the stupidity he had been doing for the past few years.
“I've tried to forget Clara, Sister. I even sent Clara to study abroad so I could forget about Clara. But, everything just feels so hard. Even after Clara came back, I was even more convinced that I really loved her, Kak.”
Ansel rubbed his sister's tombstone, then exhaled a tired breath. She feels like she failed in her job because she fell in love with Clara. However, Ansel also realized that he could not manage his feelings. It was God who gave that feeling to him.
“Kak, I promise I'll keep looking after Clara. It's just, I can't lie to my feelings if I love Clara.” Ansel smiled faintly. “Sorry, Brother. I really don't understand why I'm like this. Sorry also because I already love your daughter.”
Ansel took a breath, then stood up.
“But, if I can't forget Clara, can I have her, sister?” ask the soul who can't answer the question.
One month later ....
Ansel had just walked out of the meeting room when one of his employees walked over. The man frowned when he saw a food box that the employee was carrying.
“Good day, Sir. There is a delivery of food for Mr.” said the employee while handing over the lunch box he brought.
Ansel received the lunchbox while frowning his forehead. “From whom?” tanyanya's confused.
“I don't know, Sir. Because the one who sent this food was a courier,” said the employee then excuse me from before Ansel.
Although confused, Ansel still brought the food box to his study. The man had hoped that the one who sent the food box was Clara. But, he brushed the thought away because Clara could not suddenly send him food. Especially after what happened a month ago.
Yeah, a month has passed. During that time Ansel did not meet with Clara. Even for work problems, Clara always sends other employees if there is a meeting at the headquarters which is none other than the office headed by Ansel. However, despite never seeing Clara again, Ansel's feelings for Clara grow even bigger.
Just about to open the document, a call was received by Ansel. Seeing who was calling her, Ansel let out a sigh.
“Halo, Delia?” sweep it with a flat voice.
“Have you received the food I sent?” delia asked with a cheerful tone. The girl sounded so excited, very different from Ansel who actually became not appetizing to eat after knowing that the one who sent the food was Delia.
“Oh, so you sent the food? Yes, I have received it,” replied Ansel, trying to remain kind to Delia.
“You don't like the food, huh?” guess Delia based on Ansel's tone of voice.
“Ah, it's not so. I haven't tasted it yet because I just received it. After this I will eat it, kok,” replied Ansel.
“Good. I hope you like the food I made special for you!” exciting Delia.
“Thank you for the food, Delia. I will definitely spend it.”
“Sama-sama. Then I close the phone first,” said Delia and disconnected the call.
As soon as the call was cut off, Ansel let out a long sigh. The man leaned his body on the back of the chair while looking at the food box that Delia had delivered.
In recent times, Ansel has often ignored Delia. He even thought about ending their relationship. How not? The loveless relationship slowly begins to torment Ansel. Ansel initially courted Delia because she wanted Clara to stay away from him as if she had backfired for what she had done. Now, she must be tormented for pretending to love Delia. It is true that the presence of Delia managed to make Clara leave Ansel. But Ansel misses Clara and regrets her decision to date Delia.
In the midst of Ansel's daydream, someone knocked on his study door.
“Sign in,” says Ansel.
The door opened and showed Ridwan coming with a pile of documents.
“This is the data you requested. Data on plantation results for the past year and also data from finance,” explained Ridwan while putting the documents on the Ansel desk.
Ansel nodded. “Thank you, Ridwan.”
