I Love You, Uncle

I Love You, Uncle
Chapter 7

Arriving in the room, Clara did not immediately sleep. He stood up while leaning his body on the balcony railing. The girl said she wanted to rest because she wanted to avoid Ansel because she knew that her uncle would definitely oppose her decision to stay in her parents' old house. But, Clara didn't care about it. His decision was unanimous and he did not want to change his mind.

In addition to keeping them from negative people, actually Clara does it all because she wants to keep her feelings. He did not want to feel hurt anymore because he was sure that he would only eat heart if he stayed with Ansel. Clara could not deny if four years did not meet with Ansel did not make his feelings disappear just like that. That feeling is growing bigger.

Gts ... Gts ... Gts ....

Hearing the sound of her room being knocked on, Clara sighed then stepped towards the door of her room to open the door. As expected Clara, the one who knocked on her bedroom door was Ansel.

“What's up, Om?” ask Clara.

Ansel frowned, puzzled that Clara had not allowed him into the girl's room. Ansel increasingly felt that Clara had completely changed and kept her distance.

“You sure you want to stay alone in your parents' house?” ask Ansel again, making sure if Clara's words at the dinner table were just a joke or not.

“Of course.”

“Clara, it is not good for a woman to live alone. Moreover, you still have Om. What if someone has malicious intentions to you?”

Clara grunted loudly. “Why think about it now, Om? Why didn't Om think of that too when Om sent me to study abroad? Om thinks I'll always be safe living in a country I don't know its culture. Even I didn't know anyone when I just moved there,” Clara sneered.

“Clara, Om did it all for your good. Om wants you to get a good education and Om believes that it is much safer there than here.” Ansel took his breath. “Just Om doesn't agree that you live alone. What makes you think we shouldn't stay together?”

“Isn't that Om's goal from the start? Om sent me abroad and even introduced me to Om's lover when Om knew clearly that I loved Om. Isn't that enough to explain that Om doesn't want me to be here?” clara asked with a wry smile.

“Clara, you and I cannot possibly have any relationship,” Ansel said.

“Then from that, I asked Om to stop organizing my life because I was an adult,” Clara said and then closed the door to her room.

The girl then ran to the bathroom, crying while condemning her stupidity for having fallen in love with her own uncle.

The girl slowly opened her puffy eyes. He slowly wiped the dried tears on his cheeks. He took a deep breath, then got up to sit while leaning his body on the head of the bed. Crying long enough to accidentally fall asleep makes the girl's head feel a little dizzy. His nose was also flushed from crying.

Clara smiled wryly as she looked around her. Just a few hours back at his old residence, Clara was already feeling uneasy. The house that used to be the place to go home, now feels so foreign to him. Either Clara felt it all because indeed she had not lived in this place for a long time ... Or because of his relationship with Ansel that made the girl think so.

Clara rolled over to the edge of the bed, then stood up. He pulled back his suitcase from under the bed. Earlier, because she did not have time to open the suitcase, Clara immediately pushed her suitcase in. It was fortunate that he had not unpacked his suitcase, so he did not have to bother if he wanted to leave the Ansel residence.

Clara took some of her personal belongings that she did not have time to take abroad, then put them in a suitcase. Not to forget he also brought a camera that he used to always use to take important moments in his life.

After finishing cleaning up the items he would bring to his late parents' old residence, Clara then glanced at the wall clock that perched sweetly in the middle of his room. Now that it was three in the morning, it meant that he still had time to rest for a while before finally leaving.

Clara decided to take a nap. And at exactly five in the morning, he got up to get ready.

The girl opened the curtains of her room. A ray of dawn slowly appeared on the eastern horizon. Clara hastily picks up her phone to contact Mira, her best friend.

“Halo, Clara. What are you calling blind mornings like this? Didn't I apologize yesterday for not being able to pick you up at the airport?” ask Mira from across the street.

Clara chuckles little. “I don't want to be mad because you can't pick me up at the airport, Mira. But, there's something I want to say,” reply Clara.

“Hm ... What's up?”

“Looks like I can't stay at home Om Ansel.”

“What do you mean?”

Mira who was not fully awake immediately opened her eyes wide when she heard the words of her best friend.

Clara bit her fingertips. Confused about where to start. “Later I'll tell you everything. Please meet me at my parents' old house. You still remember the address, ‘kan?”

“Iya, I still remember.”

“Then, I'll wait for you there. See you later, Mira.”

“See you later, Clara.”
