I Love You, Uncle

I Love You, Uncle
Chapter 3

Ansel stopped his activity, then squinted his eyes at Ridwan. “Clara said nothing about it,” he said softly.

“What did he tell you about it for? If Clara accepts the man, she doesn't need to tell you but she will directly introduce the man to you!” babble Ridwan.

“What do you mean?”

“Clara rejects the man's love,” Ridwan explained. The man then nodded slowly. “That's how you don't understand. How do you understand women's feelings? It is only fitting that you have been single!” all this time

Ansel's face instantly turned sour. The man's originally very good mood suddenly turned into a mess after hearing Ridwan's story. On one hand he was annoyed that there was a presumptuous man who had liked his nephew. However, on the other hand he also wonders why Clara rejected the man's love? What reason?

Seeing Ansel's face that looked so upset, Ridwan then laughed out loud. The man could no longer hold back his laughter that had wanted to gush from earlier. He could already predict that Ansel would be very upset after hearing the story. And it proved to be really happening.

“Already, Ansel. You just admit that you like your foster niece, ‘kan? No need to dodge anymore!” said Ridwan, trying to urge Ansel.

“Where is such a feeling. I have absolutely no feelings for Clara,” Ansel replied, then pretended to be busy checking documents on the computer.

“What's wrong if you like Clara? He's not your nephew. You have no blood ties whatsoever. So, it feels good if you like him. I'm sure that you won't be able to ignore your feelings any longer.”

Ansel took his breath. Annoyed by what Ridwan said.

“My feelings for Clara are just an uncle's affection for his niece. No more!” ansel said firmly.

After the thrilling days had passed, now was the time that the disciples who had fought hard to take the test would immediately get results. That afternoon, Clara's school students had gathered in the school hall area. The parents of the disciples also attended and sat on separate benches with the disciples.

Clara looked over here, hoping to be anxious because she had not seen Ansel's nose. The girl was very hopeful that Ansel would be present as her guardian at her graduation, but it seemed like God would have another will. Because until the event began, Ansel did not come.

“Clara, why are you silent?” asked Mira who was sitting next to Clara.

Hearing this, Mira also combed her gaze throughout the room. It was true that he could not find Ansel's whereabouts there. Mira was a little surprised, because Ansel had never been absent to come to Clara's school events. However, so that his friend does not grieve, Mira chooses not to discuss it.

“Clara, it is possible that Om Ansel is currently busy. Said Kak Ridwan, the last few days in their office are very busy because it is soon approaching harvest time,” said Mira, trying to entertain Clara.

Clara took her breath. “Yes, maybe so,” Clara said at the end even though she herself was hesitant about Mira's remarks.

All this time, as busy as Ansel was, the man would definitely make time for Clara. But not for today. Oh, even Clara's been feeling like there's been something wrong with Ansel for the past year. Somehow Clara felt that Ansel was keeping some distance from her.

“We better focus on this graduation announcement. I was so nervous, afraid if I didn't pass,” Mira said.

Clara chuckles. “I'm sure we'll all pass, Mira,” reply Clara.

The event began, after the headmaster gave a speech, now comes the time for the announcement to be carried out. The disciples were sitting uneasily, as were the elders present there.

“The results of the exams of all students of this school state that all of you ... Pass one hundred percent!” exclaim the headmaster while casting a smile.

The entire student exclaimed in excitement after hearing the announcement. They are very happy because their efforts have not been in vain.

“And there is one student of this school who got perfect grades in all subjects. This student is the best graduate in this school and also a national level champion,” continued the headmaster, making students whisper to each other who the person is.

“Clara Antonio, congratulations! You are the best graduate in this school and a national level champion!” the headmaster exclaimed, making the students and parents applaud.

Clara, who was initially sad that Ansel did not come to her graduation, is now happy with what she has achieved. He is proud of himself for being a champion.
