I'm Not Dead, My Husband

I'm Not Dead, My Husband
A Sinner

Amanda drew closer to Ghea.

"So you want to make a deal with me?"

"Of course as long as it's profitable for me," Ghea replied with a smile.

"You're not asking how Abimana is?"

"What's in it for me? She has nothing to do with me."

"But he's still your husband?"

"I'll divorce you soon if I get out of here."

'Basic savage woman,' Amanda muttered while looking at Ghea who was now smiling.

"You better not have much ado, what offer are you offering?"

"You actually did all this because you didn't want to go to jail, did you?"

"Yes, of course. I don't want to go to jail and be punished like Abimana. He's too stupid to go to jail, I don't want to be stupid like him."

"Well I won't put you in jail but please stop pretending in front of the doctor, please tell the doctor about your true condition, if you've done all that then I'll release you as soon as possible. Do you want to?"

"What will I get if I follow your words?"

"Freedom and large sums of money."

"Wow I like that. All right, I'm working with you, Amanda."

"Well, can you start tomorrow? Show the doctor if you're cured from tomorrow until the doctor issues a letter if you're no longer mentally ill. Do you understand?"

"Yes, I get it. Then why are you actually doing all this to me? What good are you doing all this? You're not setting me up, are you?"

"Oh certainly not Ghea, I did all this because I didn't want to take too long to bear your medical expenses while in this hospital. I certainly do not want to continue to bear your medical expenses, whether until when. Rather than me doing all that, wouldn't I make a deal with you?"

"Oh yes of course. You're very smart, Amanda. You do have to do all that, bearing my medical expenses at the hospital is very troublesome right?"

"Yes, that's very troublesome. Besides, your existence doesn't really matter in my life, does it?"

"Yes, for I am not as bad as Abimana."

"Yes...Emhh Ghea, now I go home first. Please do all the work we both did. Stop all your pretense in front of the doctor so that you can get out as soon as possible and enjoy the life in the outside world that you have longed for. Do you understand?"

"Yes I will do all that, I also want to get out of this place and have fun as usual."

"Yes, I'll go home first. Good night Ghea."

"Good night Amanda."

Amanda nodded then came out of Ghea's treatment room and approached Rayhan who was waiting for her in the hospital lobby not far from Ghea's treatment room.

"How's it?" rayhan asked as Amanda stood before him.

"As we suspected."

"Yes, he's just pretending to be crazy. But I made a deal with him and he wants to do that, he's not gonna pretend again until the doctor gets out a letter if he's not mentally impaired so we can include that evidence to the police when he's in jail."

"My wife is so smart."

"Of course, I won't let Abimana bear all that alone, Ghea should also get the punishment for all the crimes she has committed."

"Yes, you're right. Come now we go home, tomorrow we'll move into our new house."

"Yes Ray, I can't wait to see Cleo tomorrow. He's gonna be our daughter-in-law, right?" amanda said as she chuckled.

"Don't I tell you not to impose your will on children?"

"All right."

Abimana slowly opened her eyes when suddenly a voice seemed to disturb her hearing.

"You awake? I'm sorry if I bother you, actually I just wanted to give this to you, " said a voice.

Abimana then turned his face away.

"You're already here? Isn't it still morning?"

"Oh yeah, I left with papa. There's a morning apple because there's going to be visits from some officials so we're preparing the welcome first."

"Oh. Why so much food? You brought all that?"

"Yes, I brought you all this food. You're sick, you have to eat a lot to get well soon."

"Isn't that the same thing?"

"What do you mean?"

"I have no purpose in this world, even the time of my death has been decided. There's no point in me being able to recover quickly because it's all the same to me."

"Please don't say that, it's precisely in the rest of your life that you have to do something useful as a provision in the afterlife and as the last thing that can impress others because of you. You must be useful to others, Abimana. Show people you've disappointed if you can do good at the end of your life too. I'm sure you can do all that, Abiman."

"What's in it for me? I don't need a confession from anyone else if I'm a good human being because the truth is I'm a sinner."

"A sinner also deserves a chance."

"You can say that because you don't know what sins I've ever committed. I have killed my own parents, once again listen to me carefully, I have killed my own father just to fulfill my naf* to master the property that is not as good as mine. I am a demon-hearted man, I am not worthy to live in this world, I am not entitled to forgiveness from anyone, it is appropriate that I am given the death penalty, I deserve to die. If I can choose, I want to die now. I wanted to meet with papa and apologize to him," Abimana said as she sobbed and then covered her face with both hands.

Inara was only silent, until a while until Abimana's cry subsided a little, she then held Abimana's shoulder.

"Cry, cry if it makes you feel better, never feel weak because of your crying, if you are filled with regret now it means you are not like you said, you are not the devil, you are not, you're just a normal human being full of misfortune because of the seduction of shatan due to na*su in your heart, you've indeed made such a big mistake, and now it's time for you to fix yourself, before your death comes, you must fix yourself, Abimana."

"Why are you so good to me? You're doing this because you don't know who I really am."

"I know, I know you without you explaining who you are to me, I was even attracted to you when you helped me first" said Inara, who made Abimana look at her with a question mark.
