05. Family Meetings

"Well, Dad, where are we going? How come it's not?"

In the car that was traveling at that speed, Shabira looked at her parents in confusion and curiosity. It had been about thirty minutes they had passed, but the car driven by papa Antonio had not stopped at the destination.

"We're meeting someone, Shabira. Old friend Papa, you will also know" replied Antonio who is still focused on driving his car.

Shabira nodded her head, though still did not understand which friend Papa Antonio meant. Tired, the girl began to close her eyes in the back seat. Antonio and Shinta who saw him just quietly let. They knew his daughter was still exhausted after school.

"Well, are you sure of this decision? Shabira was very young Pah," asked Shinta after seeing Shabira sleeping in the back.

"Yakin Mah, Papa knows what's best for Shabira. After all, Papa and Ray had planned this all a long time ago" replied Antonio.

As Antonio fell silent, what his wife said was true. However, he also could not cancel this matchmaking plan. “Shabira? You're not papa?” ask Papa Antonio.

“Ah eum no papa kok Pah.” Shabira averted her eyes, when she realized Austin's gaze was now on her.

Dutifully Shabira just kept quiet and obeyed. Sit in the seat next to Austin, which is still empty there. Shabira occasionally glanced at Austin who was still silent without intending to stare back at him. Letting his parents talk to each other with Papa Austin, Raiden Lloyd.

"Sorry Ray, it looks like we're late!" antonio said while greeting his best friend.

"Ah yes, meet Ray. This is my daughter, her name is Shabira." Realizing the gaze of his best friend who was very curious, Antonio immediately introduced his daughter. "Shabira, this is Mr. Ray. Papa's friend!" continued.

Shabira lowered her head, while making a smile. Realizing Austin's gaze was now on her, Shabira cleared her throat. "Is this my son-in-law's candidate?" ray asked while watching Shabira.

"Yes, she's the daughter-in-law you want."

Hearing Papa Antonio's reply, Shabira raised her head with a confused face. "What does Papa mean?" ask Shabira.

"Look, it's been a long time that Papa and Mr. Ray are planning to match you up with Austin. Papa knows maybe you think this is too soon, but we have calculated everything in the future. After graduating high school, we'll marry you!" said Antonio.

"What's? Married married?"

Now not only Shabira was surprised to hear the words of Papa Antonio, Austin was also surprised to learn that he would be betrothed to the girl next to him.

"Dear, you agree, right? Didn't you guys know each other for a long time?" ask Antonio.

"But Pah, we're still in school" Shabira said. Although he likes Austin, he still does not want to get married too early.

"That's why Papa decided to marry you after school, you'll agree right?" Ray stared intensely at his son and future son-in-law, his facial features as if warning the two children not to refuse this matchmaking.

The two children looked at each other simultaneously. Austin's facial sharpness strongly showed dislike. This was confirmed when Austin suddenly moved from his seat.

"I don't agree Pah, I told you before. I don't want to be betrothed to anyone!" press Austin.

"Austin, didn't Papa say it before. It's all for your good! You can't keep going like this!"

"By marrying me to this woman? What kind of kindness does Papa mean?" austin asked coldly and sharply.
