The sound of rain was heard. Leo opened his eyes and found himself in a dim room with light coming from fireflies. His body was tied with chains and his heart was pierced by a dagger.

“Leo Avalon, you are the soul I sucked in for having too much of a terrifying pitch-black aura. You have killed many people in your previous life and in this life I will save you.”

Leo heard a voice and before long a terrifying figure appeared before him who was holding a large red scythe sword.

“You... Who?” Leo's eyes widen but show no fear.

The figure laughed coldly before replying, “I am the God of Death, Ryuuen.”

“At this moment I am healing your broken body. You're not dead yet and you're going to live your life as Leo Avalon in this world.” The God of Death Ryuuen said to Leo.

“This doesn't make sense! What do you want from me?!” Leo asked.

“Angels will not be able to punish the abominations of Satan. Likewise with humans who cannot punish the abominations of angels. I want you to inherit my power and become the God of Death,” Death God Ryuuen said.

“In addition I also made your sister in your previous life reincarnated here. In this world he is named Lea Avalon and is your younger brother. She is still alive and now she is cared for by the Royal Queen Sylv.” The Death God Ryuuen added.

“Lea is alive you say? No kidding! Or I'll kill you!” Leo who heard that immediately shouted out loudly and made the Death God Ryuuen laugh.

Simultaneously the Death God Ryuuen vanished, while Leo was struck by the memories that had sprung up inside his head.

After the events in the Kingdom of Avalon, Leo is found alive and John who found him sells Leo as a slave. A criminal group of witches named Ghost buys Leo at a high price because he is a descendant of King Avalon and the Fuyumi Clan.

Ghost was in the Carta Continent that was in the Floral Kingdom. Ghost's goal is to take over the throne of the Floral Kingdom now held by Marcus Floral.

And now Leo is the Ghost leader's guinea pig Mars Floral.

“Chairman, isn't this a huge exaggeration. She's only fifteen and I don't think she has the eyes we're looking for even though Fuyumi's blood runs through her body.” The man with long hair tied up reprimanded the man named Mars Floral.

“Virgil, with Shinigami eyes, I can be the highest man above my brother Marcus or John Flamingo. He was a pure descendant of the Fuyumi Clan that was now ruled by the Dragons. Even with Shinigami eyes, I can become a Great Demon King,” Mars told the man who calls Virgil Fish.

“He has resistance to lightning or fire. I burned her body repeatedly, but she recovered. Now help me prepare for eye surgery. I'll speed up the ritual,” Mars said.

“I heard from Qwerty, the Five Fingers of the Devil have learned of our movements and King Floral has sent an army to save this boy.” Virgil explained.

“Then from that I will take both eyes of this boy before they find our headquarters,” Mars said.

“Alright, Chairman. I'll help with the operation.” Then Virgil and Mars left Leo in the room.

Leo knows he can regenerate thanks to the Death God Ryuuen, but now if his body is burned or exposed to high-pressure electricity, Leo is certain to die, unless burned by Phoenix flames.

“They overestimated my strength..” Leo muttered softly and tried to stand up.

“Argh!” Upon rising from his sleep, Leo learned the inner workings of the eye power that Mars meant.

The Shinigami's eyes can copy all kinds of power from the enemy. But Mars does not know if this power can be used by people who have met Ryuuen.

That reason was what made the Fuyumi Clan slaughtered by someone named Gdanks. Knowing the origin of his power left Leo dumbfounded.

At the moment Leo has a goal to meet with Lea. He wanted to confirm the words of the Death God Ryuuen about the reincarnation that befell Lea.

“I have to leave this place..” said Leo slowly while opening the door of the room.

But outside of Leo has been blocked by a man named Xeon. Leo thought he was still the same as in his previous life. In the body of a fifteen-year-old youngster certainly makes Leo not benefited especially this is a world that is much crueler than the world of Leo before.

“Who told you to leave this place, boy?” Xeon asked.

The burly man gave off a terrifying magic aura. Xeon's magic aura was blackish purple. And that magic aura was slowly becoming a protective energy and making his body harden.

“Prince Mars asked me to guard this place. You better go back inside if you don't want to feel the torment from me.” Xeon gave a warning.

Leo did not comply but instead walked forward and said, “Torture? After feeling all this I am not at all afraid of any kind of torment!”

“Move or I'll kill you!” firmly Leo.

Hearing that made Xeon smile widely and directly aimed her punch at Leo. Thinking his punch could crush Leo's hand, Xeon was surprised by Leo's movements dodging his attack.

“What?! Looks like your father's talent is coming down to you boy!” Xeon was shocked while Leo looked so serious observing Xeon's attack.

‘I can clearly see the movement. And I feel like I can use that attack.’ Leo is determined and intends to try Xeon's attack.

Leo however abandoned his intentions and chose to see more of Xeon's terrible rampage. In the end, Leo's body was unable to follow his movements and ended up being hit by Xeon's punch all over his body.

“You're good at evading! But in my eyes you are still a boy!” Xeon smiled coldly then pulled Leo's hand before breaking it.

“Argh!” Leo screamed for a moment then looked coldly at Xeon.

“I'll kill you!” said Leo.

“Are you unaware of your position?” Xeon smiled mockingly.

Xeon tortures Leo further before Mars finally comes along with Virgil and one other person.

“Xeon! Stop!” said Mars.

Soon Xeon stopped breaking Leo's fingers.

“Cih! Do you want to kill him?!” Mars stared coldly at Xeon.

“Qwerty, heal him with your Phoenix abilities. And you Xeon, after that you can continue your pleasure to torture this boy,” Mars said.

No matter what Leo goes through, the Ghost leader does a heinous thing to Leo. All forms of torture Leo felt and it made him remember his old life.

His fingers were broken as well as his body which was subjected to terrible physical violence, then Leo healed Qwerty using the Phoenix healing fire and was again tortured by Xeon.

However Leo did not give up or despair, but rather he deliberately accepted all of that to get a chance to copy the abilities of these four Ghost members, before he avenged their cruelty against him.
