Love Above the Heart
- The Bitter Reality -

The ringing sound of Gia's cell phone disperse the two human beings who were sculpting in position with their respective minds.

Gia swiped the green button on the touchscreen of her phone to answer the call.

"Yes Rick? I'm home!" Said Gia while looking at Arga who was standing next to her.

Arga understood that it was a call from Erick. Arga silently tried indifferently with their conversation. He again sat on the porch seat, leaving Gia still in her position leaning on the support pole.

"I had some business, I can't go back there yet, Rick. Coincidentally, I signed a contract with a boutique. So I have to monitor the manufacturing that is produced with them" Gia explained to Erick.

Arga hears Gia's conversation, but he doesn't know what Erick is saying across the street.

Arga tries to distract her by taking her phone and playing games. It's not good to have to eavesdrop on Gia's conversation again. Because now he knows that Gia is indeed in a relationship with Erick.

"You don't have to come here to explain! You say it now!" Urge Gia on Erick across there.

"I've said it to you, but my mom's answer remains the same, Yang." Answer Erick. His voice sounded lackluster.

Gia was silent for a while, until she finally made a sound again.

"Yes, if your mom's final decision is like that. Maybe it means we're not fools!" Gia said on the sidelines of her cries that she endured.

Gia's voice was heard in the ears of Arga who was still playing the game, he turned his attention to the front. Looking at Gia who seemed to have sobbed.

Arga bertehem gave a code that he wanted to say something. It's really not good to be here right now.

"For a while" said Gia on her cellphone connection while looking at Arga who moved.

"I'm home" Arga said without a sound. Only his mouth formed those words.

Gia nodded in agreement. He noticed Arga walking towards his car.

"Who are you?" Erick's voice across there diverts Gia.

"What?"

"Who are you at home?"

"I-I'm with Lyra" replied Gia nervously. He doesn't want Erick to think no.

"Seriously? I heard the man's voice"

Erick heard the sound of Arga thumping earlier.

"Y-yes, seriously. I'm with Lyra"

"Yes, I can't accept your decision about us not being a match, Gi. I'll talk to my mom again. Or if you need to be with papa!"

"You don't make your papa's condition drop, Erick! Don't selfish. I told you, I don't want you to choose between me and your family!"

"If I want to choose, how?"

"If you have to choose, choose your family!"

"But Gia? You know I can't leave you!"

"If it's the best, why not? Never mind. I'm lazy to argue about this. The ends are just a commotion between us!"

"I chose you Gia. Wait for me to come and pick you up!"

Gia immediately disconnected the call without any intention of answering Erick's words.

It all hurt for Gia. Everything he and Erick have been through seems to have to be let go until here.

The end of their story was in sight. It doesn't end happily but it still ends painfully.

Gia realized, Gia did not want to continue this if many parties would be hurt later. Gia doesn't want to start a relationship with Erick if he has to let the crowd down.

Days passed, without feeling since Gia accepted the fact that the blessing of the Erick family had not been obtained, she became lazy to take a call from Erick. Ignored him.

Gia was too hurt with repeated rejection. Moreover, he was tired, tired of going through everything.

Gia loves Erick. But he realized, love is not enough. If they are not meant to be together. Especially those that want to be forced.

Gia lives her days with passion. Busy yourself as an appraiser of designs that have been produced into clothes or dresses that can be marketed.

Gia paced every day from her home to Micah's boutique.

Slowly, it had been three months that he was in business with Micah. And for the last three months he has not told Erick.

Erick who often contacted him also slowly began to rarely call Gia. I don't know what he did there. Gia doesn't know.

Sometimes Gia is weak with her longing for Erick. But he stopped calling Erick, until he decided to block Erick's number.

Gia does that not without reason, it does because she wants Erick to realize that the relationship that is forced will end is not good.

Gia tries every day to keep herself busy to forget Erick. Although actually Gia is not able to eliminate the name Erick in his heart.

"Gi, can I ask you a question?" Micah starts a chat with Gia who is monitoring the production at Micah's boutique.

"About what?" Ask Gia.

"I'm sorry, Gi, since I knew you about four months ago, I feel something is awkward."

"meaning?"

"I want to be honest with you, Gia"

Micah paused his words for a moment.

"When we first met, your name felt familiar to me. I had my brother investigate your background!"

"What?" Gia looked shocked.

"Why do you know about my background?" Ask Gia again.

"You know Erick, I've loved it since our first meeting" Micah said without hesitation.

Gia took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to calm her heart, which seemed to rumble as a result of Micah's words. Micah could have said he praised Erick so frontally and without burden.

"A few months ago, after my brother investigated Erick, I knew everything about you. I decided to go there to meet Erick. Because I've been thinking about it ever since he helped me."

"But I met Erick's parents. It turns out Erick's mom had the same business as me. And we're very fit to talk about fashion and our taste turns out to be the same."

"I found out Erick did have a girlfriend named Gia. But I didn't think that Gia Erick's lover was you. My brother was just investigating about Erick but he wasn't investigating about who and what Erick's lover looked like"

"And I just found out that Gia Erick's lover is the same Gia that I work with. That's after I investigated about you!"

"I'm sorry Gia, I didn't mean to hurt and snatch Erick from you. We'll be engaged soon!" Micah added at the end of his explanation.

Gia did not expect Micah's last sentence. That he and Erick are getting engaged. How could?

"How did you get engaged?" Gia asked amid her almost exhausted strength.

"As I said, Erick and I became very close. His family really likes me. And they urged Erick to make me his wife!" Micah answered with an inexplicable face.

"Then? Erick agreed?"

"I originally thought Erick would reject his parents' decision. But it turns out he received everything well. I'm sorry Gia. I didn't mean to. The world is too small. Sometimes we meet the same people."

Gia smiled a forced smile before Micah. Micah can be honest and open about this.

Gia was sure, Micah would not until Gia knew this all from someone else's mouth. Micah was afraid of Gia hearing other perceptions of others. Especially if Erick explains it. Gia caught the fear from Micah.

Gia realized this is the consequence of Gia releasing and mengikhlaskan Erick last time.

Gia remembers where she had seen Micah before, the Dicafe that night, the first meeting of Micah and Gia. Long before this business plan took place.

"Are all his words true? She doesn't know that Erick is my girlfriend? Or is he just pretending to cover up his rot?" Inner Gia.

Gia wanted to be prejudiced against Micah, but somehow with Micah's attitude like this, Micah indirectly wanted to open the door of competition between the two of them.

Micah could have hidden everything from Gia and pretended not to know about Gia and Erick's previous relationship. But it seems that Gia's rival this time has clearly shown that he is the winner's cup holder.

Suddenly, Gia looked at Micah as disgusting. He couldn't possibly not have known Gia was Erick's lover. They met at the cafe that night. Which causes Gia to miscarry.

"Or not before doing business with me, actually he already knows my relationship with Erick? And he approached and tied me up in this way of business? To know where our relationship is?" Inner Gia guessed again.

"Gia? Did you hear me? Micah asked Gia to see that Gia was silent with her statement.

Gia smiled sarcastically remembering Micah in her mind earlier.

"You're right, the world is too small. And you must remember too! this world is too cruel, Micah. You can get what you want. But the world always has a way of answering all my prayers!" Sindir Gia to Micah.

Gia looked at Micah who was smiling at her answer. Then Micah seemed to pull something out of his bag.

"I'm sorry, this is for you. Come over!" He patted Gia on the back and gave her engagement invitation to Erick.

Micah left Gia who was sitting on the corner sofa of Micah's boutique room.

Gia held back her tears. He was tired of crying.

Perhaps from the many calls Erick to his mobile phone, Erick wanted to explain his relationship with Micah.

Gia breathed. There's nothing to regret. Because from the beginning he was the one who closed access for Erick and indirectly stayed away from Erick.

But Gia did not expect, his decision would pay off so quickly.

Now Erick's engagement invitation is in his hands.

Gia got up and decided to go back to her contract.

"Have Gi come home yet?" Ask Lyra to Gia.

Lyra still lives in Gia's house. At Gia's request. The verdict of the divorce hearing has fallen. She officially holds the status of widow.

Nico, however, remained in his habit with his women. But he also continued to chase after Gia like a madman. Without thinking about the feelings of Lyra who is now around Gia.

Lyra now looks more mature since her new status. She worked again as a nurse and decided to stay in the city instead of going home to her parents.

At first Lyra wanted to contract on her own but Gia prevented it. Gia needs a friend to accompany her. Now he feels alone.

Gia sat down in the front seat, he several times kneeling his temple. It felt like he was dizzy and wanted to yell out his frustration towards Micah.

It seems Gia had mistaken Micah's kindness all along. Out of nowhere, after Micah's explanation Gia felt Micah was a cunning woman full of pretense.

"Gia? You sick?" Lyra asked again seeing Gia not answering her question and Gia looked lethargic.

Gia shakes.

"Have you eaten?"

Gia nodded again.

"What the hell are you doing, Gi? You are not usually like this. Last time I saw you was like this the first time you miscarried!"

"I want to be alone first, Ra. I'll have a story!"

"OKAY. I left first yes" said Lyra.

Lyra went to work, today she entered work around 3 pm. Her job as a hospital nurse, demands her work within three hours. Mornings, afternoons and nights.

As soon as Lyra, Gia went into the room and threw the origin of her bag. He sits in a bed that has now turned into the standard Queen bed for him and Lyra rests.

Gia was drowning in her sadness. He thought of Erick. Erick couldn't have just decided to agree to this engagement. "Did Erick forget about me?" Inner Gia.

This all happened probably because of Gia's mistake as well who did not give any news at all to Erick. Maybe Erick as a man is bored with this endless relationship.

Gia opens the engagement letter of Micah and Erick. His heart read the invitation.

It was announced that her engagement would be held at a hotel in the city of Erick. Not in the city that Gia and Micah now live in.

Gia stared at the invitation, until she finally fell asleep in the bitter reality that had surrounded her life.
