Chapters 15. Cannot Promise

Kenneth's life is complicated. Having only lived an independent life for a few days, his father called. He asked Kenneth to come home. Her mother is being treated in hospital.

Getting a job as a restaurant waitress is not easy. He had to compete with a few people, but at the moment Kenneth was at a crossroads. Survive for Rhiana, or return to the mansion to meet her mother.

While the dilemma is haunting, Kenneth intends to take his clothes from the locker. He met with his co-workers.

"Why don't you come in right away? Isn't it time for your shift?"

"I'm dilemma. My parents are sick, while I'm here fighting for my work and my love" Kenneth explained.

His co-worker smiled. "I was in a position like you. Hires and lovers can be sought, but meeting with parents, there will be no more opportunities if you do not move. Trust me, things will go well if you prefer your parents."

That sounds like advice and punishment. It feels so crowded. He could not wait long to say goodbye to Rhiana. His partner's words were right. Stella was the most important part of her life. While Rhiana, the affair will be continued after her mother is healed.

Kenneth patted his friend's shoulder. "thank you. You gave me enlightenment."

Kenneth faced the restaurant manager. He was determined not to continue this work. Actually the manager still really hopes Kenneth to cancel his decision, but when the reason is parents, the manager can not hold it too long.

"Go! Take good care of yourself. Regarding your salary for a few days, it will be given immediately today. I'll call the finance department to pay you his salary."

"Good, Sir. Thank you." Thank you."

No need to wait long, the financial section gives one envelope with money. Although it was only a few days, Kenneth was proud to get his first salary. The money will not be given to his parents, but will be kept as proof to Rhiana that he can and is able to work with his own efforts.

By noon, Albert was feeling anxious. She was afraid that Kenneth would ignore Stella. Although Stella's condition is better, but his wife will still wait for Kenneth's arrival. He was just coming home from the hospital when Kenneth was in front of him.

It's not just a plan. Stella was sick at the right time. He was indeed very thoughtful of the bets made with Albert. Stella can't lose to him.

"Darling, the doctor said you were okay. We can go home now," Albert asked.

"No. I'll just go home when Kenneth picks me up. If he doesn't come, I'll stay here."

Stella is so stubborn. Albert couldn't persuade him other than to bring in Kenneth. He took the phone intending to call Kenneth back. At least Albert got the assurance that his son was coming.

Albert's upset. His call was not raised at all. Suddenly the door was knocked by someone. This is not the time for doctors to visit patients, nor are nurses delivering lunch. Kenneth is coming.

"Hey, Boy. Finally you came too" said Albert.

"I'm afraid that Papa will lose to this one Miss World" Kenneth joked.

Stella manyun's. He was like fighting against two men whose visions and missions were opposite. However, he could not just give up. Kenneth must be in his grasp in order to win the bet that has been agreed with Albert.

"I don't want to go home if you don't come" Stella said with confidence.

"Hemm, I think I know why this Miss World won't come home." Kenneth approaches his mother's gurney.

"What?" ask Albert.

"Definitely the doctor here is more handsome than Papa. Aye, right?"

Kenneth teases his mother. Actually he already knew from the doctor who treated Stella if today he was allowed to go home, but did not want to excuse waiting for his son. Kenneth was not worried.

"Eh, how could that be? That's not true! Mama from then until now always love Papa," replied Stella.

Kenneth gave his papa the code to put his lips together.

"Albert, don't go too far!" cibir Stella's.

After a long discussion, Stella wanted to go home. However, he has a condition for Kenneth to hold his birthday which is only a few days away. Stella will invite Serry and Samantha.

"As for Mama" said Kenneth at last.

Kenneth should be able to present Rhiana on his special day. So that Stella no longer forces her to agree to a silly match with one of her mother's chosen girls.

Albert's car was driven by the driver, while Stella and Albert boarded his son's car to the mansion. Along the way, Stella could not keep quiet. He wanted to know where Kenneth had been all this time.

"Where are you actually going? Mama was upset when Jane got angry at the mansion" Stella said.

"I went to work—"

"What's? You work?" Stella cut off Kenneth's speech.

"Ma, listen to Kenneth first!" reprimand Albert.

"Hemm, okay. So, where do you work?" stella finally asked.

Kenneth tells his story while serving as a restaurant waiter, not his relationship with Rhiana. Stella could be in sudden shock.

Stella listened carefully. He had no idea that Kenneth would do such an ordinary thing. Actually there was still something stuck in Stella's mind, but she did not want to say it.

"Well, will you take Mama to her room, or will I?" ask Kenneth.

"Let Papa alone. You go to your room!" stella's orders.

Stella wants to talk to Albert. Curiosity is so high to his son and concern for a girl who does not fit his criteria. That should be discussed with Albert.

"Why did you reject Kenneth?" albert asked after laying his wife's body on the bed.

"I want to talk to you, Albert. I still can't believe Kenneth changed that fast. There must be a trigger. Can't you investigate Kenneth?"

Albert smiling. Stella is so outrageous. He should be suspicious of his own son. Albert patted his wife's shoulder.

"I can't. Let him be like that! Even if he already has a girl to introduce to us, then ask him. However, I would not want to put my own son in suspicion" Albert said.

"Okay, I gave up. Call her! I want to talk to him." Stella was tired of arguing endlessly with Albert.

Kenneth was a little suspicious as his papa called out. This conversation would definitely not be far from the girls. Kenneth had to prepare an appropriate answer to reject it.

"Okay, mama won't make any more pleasantries. So, when are you going to introduce your mom to that girl?" ask Stella.

Stella this time had to listen to Albert. Kenneth's change of attitude all this time must have been a reason. It can't just change.

"When did Mama want it?" This is what Kenneth has to do. Certainty from her mother.

"Your birthday party. Be there!" answer Stella.

Kenneth took a deep breath and then exhaled. He can promise nothing, but will work on it.
