Chapter 21. Sorceries

If the application is usually intended for girls, this is very different. Samantha's parents suddenly send a proposal to Kenneth. The Samantha family wants an engagement between Kenneth and Samantha to take place.

When Kenneth decides to work for his papa company, a violent slap comes from Stella, his mother. Instead of encouraging her, Stella kept breaking her good intentions.

"Why work helps Papa in the company. It won't change your attitude all along. Better accept Samantha's parents' offer to marry her daughter. You can be part of his family. You can set up your own restaurant without relying on your business" Stella explained at the dinner table.

Albert put the cutlery down. He looked at Stella's face intensely. Instead of supporting her only son, Stella just dropped her pride.

"Kenneth won't get married before he succeeds!" firmly Albert. It's one way of blocking a marriage that Albert doesn't want at all.

"Albert, do you still support Kenneth's relationship with that woman?" stella asked in an uncomfortable voice.

"He's got a name, Mom. Name's Rhiana. Why does Mom hate him so much? What's wrong with Mama?" ask Kenneth.

Albert does not know if Stella secretly hates Rhiana since long ago. Kenneth is closer to Rhiana than he is. Then, several times Albert praised his success to make Kenneth a good and obedient child. If Rhiana returns to this mansion as her son-in-law, then all of Kenneth and Albert's attention will be on her. Stella will be labeled as a mother who can not handle household chores or take care of her son.

"Ma, please rethink your decision! Accepting Samantha is tantamount to ruining your son's happiness" Albert explains.

"And you're gonna kill me slowly when that woman comes into our lives!" reply Stella is no less fierce.

Whilst Rhiana is in the boutique. Some time ago he had sent a message to Albert to inform him that he had arrived and survived at the destination. Albert replied to his message by saying thank you and asked Rhiana to be a little patient.

"Like a dream," murmured Rhiana.

He just scribbled his drawing paper without knowing what he was thinking. Only Kenneth's shadow continued to dance beautifully in his eyes.

"How's the bad guy doing? Definitely now is making a tantrum," said Rhiana slowly.

Rhiana took a photo on her desk then looked fixedly at Kenneth's little face. He could not imagine, how would it be if Kenneth was fooling around with him? Must be the atmosphere of the apartment like a broken ship. One type is diligent cleaning, while the other is recalcitrant as a rioter. Must be really annoying.

Rhiana smiled as she imagined that nothing would happen in her life. However, suddenly a message came in from a familiar number, Mr. Albert.

"Please come to my place. Kenneth was forced to accept another girl's proposal." The message Albert sent to him.

Rhiana smiled wryly. You may feel jealous or something else is being thought of. The response was very chaotic.

"I shouldn't have entered into their lives again, but Kenneth had to drag me there. What do I have to do now? Coming there and begging not to force Kenneth to marry because I'm—" Rhiana hung up. Is he starting to get interested in her? Or, just feel sorry for sympathizing and helping her from her mother's compulsion?

To be honest since Kenneth was present in his life, Rhiana was getting messy. His work is often abandoned. Several times employees get complaints because Rhiana has not completed the design.

"I'm confused. Papa Kenneth sent me a message asking me to come there for something" Rhiana explained. He couldn't possibly say that Kenneth would be forced to get engaged and Rhiana came as a super hero. Sounds funny and very tickling.

"Some designs are unfinished, Miss. It's like it's not you. Sorry, if I had to say something like this," the employee said.

Employee's right. Rhiana is unable to recognize herself. It's very difficult apparently. However, he is also confused whether to have feelings of love for Kenneth or just care.

"That's it. I have the solution. I'm going to Kenneth's place with the driver. Please find me a driver. While on the way, I will finish all the unfinished designs. Then, I will send it to you for immediate processing. After I return, then I will check again the final results. How's it?"

There was actually no reason that the employee was holding back Rhiana's departure. He owns this boutique. So, it should be up to Rhiana, right?

"Good, Miss. I'll find a driver first for you. While you please prepare first."

There's no other choice. Albert's message was an order to him. Moreover, Albert has contributed greatly in his life in the past.

While at the mansion, Kenneth locked himself inside his room. He failed to go to the office and did not want to come to see Samantha's family. His behavior was exactly like a child on strike doing anything.

Stella repeatedly asks the maid to bang on her son's bedroom door, but none of them can bring Kenneth out. Stella tries to ask Albert for help who is currently in a meeting. That man couldn't possibly leave his meeting just like that.

"Hows it? Is Kenneth coming out?" stella asked the maids.

"No way, Madam. She said she didn't want to marry Miss Samantha. She just wanted Miss Rhiana to be here and stay with her."

It's a crazy idea. Since when did Kenneth change his attitude like a shitty little kid like this? Is it because her past is too close to Rhiana? Or, maybe because of the pressure Stella showed him? Moreover, all of Kenneth's efforts were unappreciated in Stella's eyes.

Stella tried again to convince Kenneth. She contacted her only child's cell phone, but the call continued to be rejected.

"Kenneth, please understand mama!" stella shouted from outside her son's room. "Mama wants you to marry Samantha. She's a nice girl and she's worth it to us, honey. Please don't make my mom anxious!"

"I don't want to, Ma. I just want Rhiana!" kenneth shouted from inside his room.

Stella's getting dizzy. How could he refuse Samantha's family proposal? He also could not accept Rhiana. While her son continues to plead for her relationship with Rhiana to be condoned.

When the atmosphere was not conducive, Samantha came. He wants to know what Kenneth's answer is. However, knowing that the man had locked himself in the room made Samantha feel sorry for him.

"Aunty, is this because of my family's proposal?" ask Samantha.

"Yes, Honey. I'm sorry aunty hasn't been able to make Kenneth turn to you. I don't know, what kind of magic did that woman do to my son? Ah, not just my son, but my husband," Rhiana explained with a raging feeling in her chest.
