Make Me His Substitute

Make Me His Substitute
Still Man's Wife

Aga does not speak directly. He chose to stare in both of Anjani's eyes. The gaze of Aga's eyes then makes Anjani misbehave and feel flowering stared so by Aga. Aga did not break the gaze between them even though he could see the wrong movements of Anjani's behavior.

"Anjani, you and I have been good friends for a long time. I've been expecting the same thing up until now. I hope there is no other feeling in your heart for me than to think of me as a friend." Aga said softly but sounded firm.

Anjani's heart momentarily stopped beating listening to the sentence that Aga uttered. "Just think of you as a friend?" Lirih Anjani's.

"Yes. Just like I just thought of you as a friend. I've been pretty comfortable making friends with you and our other friends. I don't want us to involve feelings in our friendship."

"Why are you saying that, Aga?" Anjani's lips twitched as she made a sound.

"I've been feeling weird lately. A very visible change in your attitude. Like, you called Amara questioning my whereabouts and questioning things you really don't need to ask her."

"Did he complain to you?" Anjani immediately replied. He was furious at Amara the complainant at this time.

"No. Amara complained about nothing. I asked him to call you."

Anjani clenched one hand under the table. Still he considers Amara as the complainant woman at this time. The arrival of a waiter carrying their drink order momentarily stopped the conversation of the two.

"Thank you" said Aga after the waiter served her a drink.

The waiter nodded and said goodbye to leave.

Anjani makes no sound. He just nodded in agreement with Aga's words. Anjani immediately sipped coffee that felt warm on his tongue. Even with Aga who sipped his drink.

"Maybe this may sound unpleasant to your ears, but I hope that after this you will no longer involve Amara if you are looking for me. I don't want Amara and you to be uncomfortable meeting each other because of your attitude." Aga.

Anjani's chest rumbled back. Aga's current words seem to emphasize to him to be able to maintain the comfort of an Amara. "Am I wrong to ask him? I just want to know why you left without taking me."

Aga took a deep breath. He could see the annoyance on Anjani's face at the moment. "Wrongly, you should have asked me directly because I invited Amara to come with me."

"alright. I understand you take care of her feelings." Anjani's answer sounded a little cynical at the moment.

Aga doesn't care about it. He just continued his words. "Anjani, I also keep the feeling of a man who is still your current husband. I don't want her to be misunderstood if you always come with me."

"Stop, Aga! Don't talk about it. He's no longer my husband and you know it!" Anjani does not like Aga to discuss his past with a man he did not expect at all.

"He's still your husband. No word of talaq yet came out of his mouth." Aga spoke softly and with great emphasis. She did not want because Anjani's great disappointment in her husband made Anjani lie to her status is still legitimate to be the wife of people.
