Dario looked at Shan. His face looks serious?
"You don't want to help me, Shan? I can only rely on you to get to Valex" Dario said with a sad face.
Shan looked unwell but he remained adamant.
"You may have forgotten, sir. My wife is going to give birth soon. Just waiting for time. I can't leave Venice alone even though her mother who lives in Delphi has come here to accompany her." Shan explained.
Dario nodded. Yes, he even forgot. Julie and Veneza are pregnant in the near future. Of course Vanesa will give birth soon.
"I'm sorry, Shan. I've forgotten about your interests. You take too much care of me" Dario said. His face was still gloomy and he looked chaotic.
"Don't worry, sir. I am just doing my duty. I've got other ways you might consider." Shan advised.
"What is that, Shan? Tell me!" Dario looked enthusiastic. He turned his face towards Shan.
"I'm gonna have detective Andrew investigate Valex. Valex neighborhood is a neighbor there is an old one. Many parents are still living and living there. Aunt Joan is just the other broom. I'll send you a recording of their conversation earlier. That's if you agree." Shan explained slowly.
Dario nodded immediately. True that. Shan is reliable. He immediately agreed.
"Now please take me to Julie's apartment, Shan," he said slowly.
Shan nodded and they finally left the place in a mute.
The one in the car, Dario was silent as well. He looked out the window with a sad face.
***
Julie is cradling her twin baby in a rattan swing that is made into one. Like the typical Indian children.
Brenda and Bertha were wearing warm clothes. The petite clothes look cute and fit, making them look more like dolls.
From the apartment door he heard the sound of shoes. Julie looked back and saw Dario coming home. The man, who is now the official father of his children, is seen taking off his shoes that run towards him.
"Hi, are the kids asleep?" she asked as she sat down on the sofa next to where Julie was sitting.
"Yes, just now" Julie replied. He glanced at Dario.
Something's wrong with him. Julie knows that. Dario tried to smile at him, but the man's eyes could not lie.
"Dario, tell me what's going on" Julie said softly.
Dario just shook his head and tried to smile. "There's nothing. I'm serious," he said lying.
Julie shook her head in disbelief and sat down to face her husband. Dario's hands were cold because he had run out from outside this warm room.
"Say what's up? You think about a heavy problem?" Julie pressed him.
Dario looked into Julie's brown eyes. Beautiful eyes that can melt his heart.
Dario started to falter. What does Julie think she knows about this? This woman is very wise. What would he suggest?
Dario's eyes began to glaze over. Julie touched his cheek. A single tear of sadness slid from the end of his eye. Julie rubbed it from Dario's cheek whose jaw was hard and full of masculine aura.
Without a word, Julie hugged the man. His old man was not this weak. But why is Dario crying?
Julie gave time for everything to be shed in her arms. Let Dario tell him when he's ready.
Seriate...
